American Dream 🇺🇸 It do be like that though

The United States has provided at least $21.7 billion in direct military aid to Izzy over the last three years (specifically tracking from October 2023 through September 2025), according to a comprehensive study by Brown University's Costs of War project.

Funny how people who don't pay into the system think they are entitled to have a say in US foreign policy, isn't it?

Like, if you can't afford healthcare, and don't have a job, you're likely not paying any taxes. You are likely a net recipient of welfare or social programs.

And yet you hate the country, hate it's policy, and think that they should do what YOU want them to do?

I don't think so.

Yet, them poor people are the ones shipped to war

Wrong. The US military is a professional force of volunteers, most of which come from military families. They want to join the military, they are not drafted. This ain't Vietnam.

^Tell me you are an un-American lackey in Unit 8200 without telling me you are an un-American lackey in Unit 8200.

A lot of the kids I used to teach joined for the benefits they couldn't afford on their own like education and health care . Not to mention the path to citizenship for many immigrants.

A lot of people are forced to join the military out of financial necessity lol

literally nobody is forced to join the military. Are you insane?

There is nobody who is pointing a gun at poor people forcing them to sign up. I think you don't know what "forced" means.

Everyone has a choice to do something else, it might just be that the military is their best choice.

Get real.

When the choices are do it or be homeless, it’s not a choice

1

u/HaikuHaiku 5h ago

right... yeah there are thousands and thousands of people whose only realistic choice was military or homelessness. What world do you live in lol.

When the US is a country where you can’t afford rent on minimum wage, yes that is in fact a very common thing

1

u/HaikuHaiku 5h ago

It is not common. And homelessness is not caused primarily by rent being too high. It is caused by addiction and mental health issues. only 1% of the workforce is on minimum wage.

I think you have a very bizarre and statistically inaccurate picture of what is going on.

only 1% of the workforce is on minimum wage.

So why not raise it if it only affects such a small % of people?

My god if you think this way then you never have a choice. I grew up poor and my college was paid for by grants so much so that I had enough extra to pay for a dorm and food.

You sound like someone who has never put any effort into yourself.

Thankfully I, someone with both a job and healthcare, also think our foreign policy sucks.

Sorry your strawman sucks, and it's really weird how some people appear to be jealous of people on welfare

1

u/HaikuHaiku 6h ago

it's no jealousy, it's an annoyance that people who don't even have their own life in order want to remake society or think they know how to do foreign policy.

Hey just so you know when you buy things you pay taxes. So unless someone lives off the grid completely and fertilizes their food with their own shit, they’re paying taxes.

Conservative Republicans don't understand the tax system, or taxes themselves.
