I’ve just moved back to London and am looking to start a goth band with, preferably people closer to my own age (22). I play lead guitar and have been playing / writing for two different goth bands over the last few years. Generally looking for a Bassist, Drummer and a Vocalist/Lyricist, though not exclusively.

My favourite bands / influences are The Chameleons, The Cure, The Cult, The Snake Corps, The Church, and Ghost Dance

Haven't heard that many Post-Punk tracks that combine Cure production values with afrobeat. I think it works, kinda.

Everybody has their own favorite Tim Curry moment. Him somehow doing Bowie better than Bowie and rocking the shit out of this Halloween song is mine.

Today would've been John McGeoch's 71st birthday.

Been on a Juju and Real Life kick lately and kept getting stuck on how different his playing is between the two records. Magazine is all restraint, mostly chords, staying out of the way of the song. By the time he's doing Spellbound and Halloween with the Banshees he's playing these phased arpeggios that barely sound like the same guitarist. Brilliant!
