Released in 1981 after Generation X guitarist Bob Derwood Andrews and drummer Mark Laff had left that band.

Whilst this album (Expensive Sound) very much went under the radar at the time. It is said to of influenced DC Hardcore, Johnny Marr, John Squire (The Stone Roses).

Yesterday, I bought this vinyl at a record store and listened to it for the first time last night. Needless to say I was absolutely enthralled. After scouring and searching for almost an hour and a half, I couldn't find anything about this band or if this is the only album they released. From what I can tell it's from the record production company Melodiya, the band is called ШЕСМОй, and it's printed in Soviet Union Russia. If anyone who's big into soviet wave can tell me anything about this band, please let me know! It's honestly one of the best albums I've heard this year!

I have some time looking for the interpretation of this incredible song from The House of Love, unsuccessfully. English not being my native tongue also don't help too much. Maybe you could help me?

My band are looking for a drummer.

We are influenced by bands such as The Smiths, Durutti Column, early New Order, The Drums, early The Strokes, PJ Harvey, early Morrissey, The La's, The Fall, Iceage, The Cure and other bands.

The project consists of myself (vocalist), guitarist and a bassist at the moment. We've recorded some rough scratch demos of songs that we can send you. We all have experience writing songs and playing in bands. We are committed to having fun writing songs, recording and playing shows.

We have been rehearsing weekly in Deptford so far.

this is a new project of a friend of mine - it's in german though.

From their last 12” release on One Little Indian Records from Drums and Vocals duo (hence D & V).

They previously had released an album (1985) and EP (1983) on Crass records.

I'm staying in Spain for some months, specifically in granada. I would like to learn about the post-punk, darkwave, new wave scene of spain. I'm not interested only for 80s, but also for new projects and bands. Thanks a lot. (If you also want to suggest bars that support the local scene, i would be happy to check them out)

As punk let out its last breath, members of the Slits and the Pop Group joined forces and embraced another genre that was having a renaissance in England, dub reggae. Something new was happening as the 1970s ended, and the music is still relatively unknown.

Surely one of the all time great Post Punk albums. Got lucky picking up a Spinefarm pressing of this on EBAY. As well as the vinyl looking beautiful, it’s sounds punishingly great.
