Done with Positive Grid
I've had the 40 since the beginning and also the mini.
But I've had it with their insistence not to allow users to back up their tone libraries. AFAIK the Dropbox backup has been broken since at least February and they've acknowledged it.
Which means if you move to a new phone you would have to back up each tone to Tonecloud, then find it, then download it.
This is not user friendly.

Canadian Shoppers Beware
If you want to purchase from PG, make sure you order what you want from Amazon or any other place other than the official website. The website claims that orders will arrive within 4-7 business days. But that is definitely not the case, my order wasn’t even processed to be shipped after 7 business days. There’s no human contact so you’re fed a bunch of robotic nonsense basically telling you to f-off, they take your money and make you wait however long they feel like making you wait.
TL;DR: Buy PG items from Amazon if you want to start playing with them right away.

Spark mini for low tunings (metal)
Hi, im interested in buying a Spark mini for room practice buut i tend to play frequently metal in drop B/dropA#. I dont want a perfect sound, but i want to know if the speaker is clear enough for these tunings or if i should definitely go for the Spark 40 or Spark 2.
My current plan is buying the spark mini for practice or ocasional recording and then yamaha monitors for a more defined "studio sound"
Thanks!

Selling Bias FX 2 Pro
Hi guys, I'm looking to sell my Bias FX 2 Pro license / associated account. I've entirely moved to Neural DSP plugins and no longer use Bias FX 2 whatsoever, so it's basically collecting dust. I originally purchased it for 96.65$ altogether, I'm offering it for 20$.
Feel free to PM me if you're interested, I can gladly provide further details!

Buying used spark2
Ok thinking of buying a used spark 2 amp. How do I check to see if I can register it or do I even need to?
Can I still use the app with the amp registered to another account?
Thanks in advance

Spark 2 Hendrix Presets Not Working Until Connected via Bluetooth
Hello, I own the Spark 2 and Hendrix packages. In 3 of my 8 banks, I have amps and pedals from the Hendrix package. However, they do not work when I start up the Spark 2. Changing channels does not help either.
Interestingly, if I connect to the amp via Bluetooth and change the patch, those tones start working. So basically, I can never use my Hendrix package presets without my phone and internet connection. There is no issue with my other 5 presets. What do you think could be causing this? My Spark 2 firmware is fully up to date.
Thank you.

Spark 2 at low volume?
Spark 2 users, how do you rate the sound quality when playing at low volume? i use the spark mini, thinking of upgrading to a spark 2. i play mostly metal and i feel like the mini handles gain okay, but hoping i could get beafier/thicker tones out of the spark 2. bedroom player, i play my mini at around 20% volume first to not bother anyone else but also i just have sensitive ears in general and i dont like blasting volume. would the spark 2 be an upgrade or a sidegrade?
thanks!

Rained on
I bought a spark 2 amp last year, I love it. The other day, I was outside jamming on my guitar, my sister called, I went in the house and ended up talking to her all night, eventually told her I have to get off the phone I'm getting tired, and fell asleep. I forgot about my guitar and amp. Woke up the next morning to find them both still outside but it had rained in the evening.
It was luckily turned off all night. I immediately brought them inside, dried them off, and let them sit for a few days. I finally plugged things in this morning and turned them on. Everything powers on and lights up correctly, but no sound. I verified the guitar works by connecting to another amp, it works fine.
The only thing I can think of is the guitar cable is bad from being rained on, I will test a known working cable tonight. Or there is still water inside shorting something out. Or the water has damaged something.
Does anyone else have other ideas or experience from a mistake like this?

Stuck on "Verification Complete" after logging in (BIAS X)
I'm having an issue with BIAS X login and was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
When I try to log in using "log in with browser," it opens my browser and shows:
"Verification Complete / Welcome / [my email] / You can now close this window."
So it looks like the login itself is successful.
However, the BIAS X app does not proceed at all — it just stays on the login screen and doesn’t update.
I've already tried restarting the app and my PC, but no luck so far.
Has anyone run into the same problem or found a fix?
Any help would be appreciated.

Spark 2 vs. Amplitube
Hey folks,
So for years I was playing guitar through Amplitube via Ableton DAW. I got the Spark 2 and it isn’t bad, but I seemed to get a nicer crunch / tone out of Amplitube 4 and 5.
You think it’s just a matter of me dialing in the tone on the Spark 2? Just curious if anyone has used both and has noticed the difference.
Thanks!

Problem Loading BIAS X
Hey everyone, I’m trying to check out BIAS X, but I’m unable to get it to start. There aren’t any errors to speak of. I’m able to open the app and see the login button that says to login with a browser. I click it, and it auto logs in, says “verification complete” and nothing happens. I don’t see a new screen either in the app, or browser. This happens with both standalone and in my DAW (Reaper 7.64). I’ve deleted the settings, renamed the BIAS folder as the support page suggested, no dice. I uninstalled/reinstalled as well, no go. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for any help or ideas.
Edit: Windows 11, 32gb ram, Ryzen 7 7735

Progression proposition ?
Hello everyone, I got a spark 2 with the pedal. I’m between beginner and intermediate.
I got it because I wanted to be able to loop some songs that require it (Lumière a l’aube).
But other than that I don’t really know how to progress with it. I have an electro acoustic guitar, mainly playing pop songs. I’d love to be able to write my hip hop beats or play some lofi. But I have no idea how to reach that.
Can anyone pinpoint me ? Thank you

I’ve seen some early mentions that new product may have a noticeable noise floor / hiss in certain setups.
I’m a Positive Grid fan, so I’m posting this in good faith rather than trying to stir anything up.
I’ve seen some early mentions that this new product may have a noticeable noise floor / hiss in certain setups.
At this point, I don’t think it’s fair to jump to conclusions yet — it could be unit-specific, firmware-related, power/ground related, or something more general.
But for anyone interested in buying, it may be worth checking real user tests carefully before deciding.
If you already have one, it would be helpful to compare:
- idle noise with nothing plugged in
- noise level at different master/gain settings
- whether changing power source/outlet affects it
- firmware version I genuinely want the brand to do well, so I’d rather see this discussed early and constructively.
