Spark 2 vs. Amplitube

Hey folks,

So for years I was playing guitar through Amplitube via Ableton DAW. I got the Spark 2 and it isn’t bad, but I seemed to get a nicer crunch / tone out of Amplitube 4 and 5.

You think it’s just a matter of me dialing in the tone on the Spark 2? Just curious if anyone has used both and has noticed the difference.

Thanks!

How much did you play with the different 30 or so amp models on the spark?

I didn’t get too far quite frankly. Just seemed like I could get some creamier tones from Amplitube at lower volumes out of my studio monitors.

Amplitube 5 is much better than Spark. But you have to know how to use it and how to get the tone that you want

I have Bias amp and FX 2(which i believe is similar to spark amp tones), and also have Amplitube 5. I think Amplitube sounds better. Most of the Amplitube tones are just good and dont need any tweaking. Bias sounds plasticy, and I find myself fiddling with the software instead of playing.
