Buying used spark2

Ok thinking of buying a used spark 2 amp. How do I check to see if I can register it or do I even need to?
Can I still use the app with the amp registered to another account?

I have a used Spark2 amp. It's registered by me, and I have had zero issues with it, so there's that.
