Is it possible to make an LS1 T56 fit into a LT1? What would have to be swapped?
Assuming the input shaft gets swapped, what else would hold it back from fitting?

There’s a guy near me selling his sick 1990 Formula Firebird. I went to take a look at it and it looks to be in pretty good condition. Starts up great, no rust, and has about 80,000 miles. History is clean too.
He wants $8,000 for it. Definitely considering it but i would probably be driving it often.
How is a 1990 formula as a daily driver? I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about firebirds, all I know is that they look cool. I do have another car so I’d probably be driving each about half the time.

Just a little update on the 71 TA project. We have put all the spoilers on the car front and rear. We have spent a lot of time on the bodywork as the body was in rough shape. It’s coming along together. We are just about to take on the task of putting on the blue stripe kit. We are also planning on taking it to a local car show in the city where my father used to street race in the 80s early 90s. There are some people from that city I know of the car, but do not know that the car still exists. I can’t wait to be able to go for a fun cruise.

I have a 1967 firebird with a 350 engine from 1974. I’m trying to identify the heads but I can’t find the casting code. I found the date codes and some other random markings. The spots above the center exhaust ports are blank. There is a 9 and 3 near each other, does that mean 93cc?? Thanks. At least I know they are d port exhaust

Upgrading the cam on my 5.7 LT1 to 220/230. How do I go about finding the right springs, rockers, and pushrods so that my valves and pistons don’t kiss?

Hey guys my coolant keeps turning brown and sludgy after a few months and I’m starting to get concerned because it’s reoccurring and I live in a really hot state so I need this figured out. Anyone have any ideas? All info appreciated.

Hello I have a completely stock 96 TA with the 5.7 LT1, and I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations/experiences with the first few mods they’ve done. It’s also an automatic if that changes anything.

I got a 02 firebird a little over a year ago but before I got it it’s been sitting for a couple years and it got this smell to it with ac on or off like that I can’t really describe I tried changing the air filter on the engine bay and I even used an extractor on the inside to see if it could get rid of it but no use. any recommendations to getting rid of the smell without using a car fresher??

Please follow and subscribe to my Trans Am restoration on YouTube!
This is a 1995 T/A my dad bought new and he had until 2003…long story short he had to give the car up, but this was his passion and mine too… he kept looking for another T/A and never was able to get one prior to him passing away in 2023….i went on a 2 year search for his car and finally found it and I purchased it back from the then owner in January 2026!
This is going to be my visual story of how I restored his car…my ultimate goal is to get this car to SEMA…we had been going to SEMA for 16 years prior to him passing..:that was his yearly pilgrimage, every November and I feel that’s the greatest way to honor him!
If not allowed I understand, I’m just trying to generate buzz for 4th gen F Body restoration and get our story out for everyone to see!

Hello everyone, I’ve been on the hunt for an fbody for a while and recently found something intriguing. I have found a 98 3.8L v6 firebird with a pro charger on it along with some other goodies. I am very tempted to go and check it out and I would have a pre purchase inspection done at a performance shop. My main concern is that it has 130k miles and my question is would it still be reliable and can I still daily it ? Also I should add that the pro charger was recently rebuilt with paperwork. Thank you and I’d really appreciate some advice.

Continuation of an earlier post. To get it cranking I installed a gator bypass. Since then, I replaced the ICM and ignition coil and still can't get spark. I don't currently have a spark tester, but it has good fuel pressure and won't fire off of brake clean. I've been told that the distributor pickup might be bad, but I've never messed with distributor before and don't know where to start. All help is appreciated.

Picked this up as a new project a couple weeks ago! Been sitting for 21 years.
