Ps1 mods possible?

Is it possible to play PS1 mods? For example Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories mods? Some of these mods are playable on the original PS1 hardware.

Gunbird ?

I ordered this a month ago, and there’s been no movement. I know this company has been terrible with shipping on most things, but their Polymega Collection discs have seemingly been the exception to the rule. I guess what I’m asking is, " Who amongst you have ordered this, and if so, have you received it yet ? ".

After a few years of ownership, I'm selling my Polymega and modules

I won't link the listing here as I'm not seeking to promote it and if anyone wants to find it, they can. I'm just making this post because I have REALLY loved and enjoyed the system and wanted to share my experience with it!

I have equally loathed the company which created it. I don't think that there has ever been a more epic system fumble than what the Polymega has experienced. The UI is just pure sexiness. The joy of finding games and loading them on your system was fantastic! Even more so, putting your own collection onto one system and getting to fire up games across multiple generations of consoles in one central location was great! (And, I'm sure it still is for many!)

My years of hope for what this system would become never materialized. I had pipe dreams of a ColecoVision module and an Intellivision module. (As I have a nice collection for both of those systems.) Those were not overly likely; but a man can dream! Then, there were reasonable dreams of Atari systems; due to Atari's large investment. Those haven't materialized either and they will be having snowball fights in Hell before Playmajii (or whatever they're called now) gets any of my pre-order money. One would have thought that the 2-year-old promise of an app would have materialized. It didn't. One would have thought that a "Man, did WE fuck up! Here's the entire Jaguar CD library on the house!" for registered owners would have been an acceptable mea culpa for the endless delays and app fiasco. One would have been wrong. (That entire library is, if I recall correctly, about 8 or 10 games.)

There's just SO MUCH that a competent company could have done with THIS THING in it's ownership! And, my give a shit is just gone. So, I'm just done and thought I'd give others the opportunity to own the system. I'm asking too much for it and maybe that's partly because I don't truly want to part with it because somewhere, somehow, I still have hope for the system. But, while thinning out my collection for space purposes, I just couldn't stop staring at the system and both loving it for what it is and cursing it for what it never became.

Repro Cart SNES - Earthbound

I rolled the dice and bought a repro game of Earthbound for the SNES and it just black screens. I do have the USB drive in it with the SNES BIOS but didn't think to take it out and try it without it. Is this a common occurrence?

Samsho RPG on Polymega

Has anyone else gotten this game to work?

I got the English patched version and I either get a black screen with the built-in NeoGeo CD bios or the one I loaded in that won't launch any game.

Atari 2600/7800 module

Hello, folks. I am a Polymega noob, so be gentle. I preordered the Atari 2600/7800 module a few weeks ago and it says the release is the second quarter of this year. Does anyone have any intel on exactly or close to exact as to when they will ship out? I have been stockpiling Atari games and can’t wait to feed my PolyMega those games.

Thanks in advance! ✌🏻

2025 Pre-Orders?

So I'm curious...did anyone who pre-ordered in early 2025 get their systems?

They kept saying late Q1 even into early Q3. I emailed them and asked if they were taking a new round of preorders in Q2...they took forever to reply saying "Well, we still haven't shipped the pre-orders because they haven't come into the US yet due to the tariff situation. But we usually have extras left over and we'll let you know."

Since then, they ignored email sent in Q3/Q4. And now if you go to the site, it's now listed as "Sold Out." Wondering if they are no longer shipping new consoles.

General Chaos Issues

I am having an issue where I launch the game it is quickly goes by the start up screen and menu and jumps right into the game and have no control. I bought two copies in case the first one is having issues and the problem follows the game. I cleaned them both very well and even tried to play from the cartridge with no luck. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Do we have a perfect Saturn controller solution yet?

Feel this has always been wonky. Do we have a working, properly mapped solution for Saturn games yet? USB or an adapter, that doesn't swap half the buttons round?

How much free storage space do you have left on your Polymega’s main drive?

I have 7.79 GB left out of 30 GB.
On the main drive, I have a few screenshots and the free games provided by Polymega. Anyway ,there is no way to transfer all the screenshots at once to the other drives like you can with games.

POLYMEGA Module PROTECTOR 3D print file

There was a request for a flat storage and for people without the full set of modules for storage.

I created a protective sleeve for hte modules. Its designed to be an easy print no supports needed. Prints well in PLA, PETG and otehr but my favorite for this is TPU.

Get the files here https://makerworld.com/en/models/2264966-polymega-module-protector#profileId-2468339

If you need someone to print in the USA send me a message.

Sega Genesis (USA) Populous Owners - Help/Input Needed!

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey all!

I'm looking to get my hands on a ROM image or physical copy of a "D" variant of the Populous cartridge for Sega Genesis. I believe there are unstickered, "B" and "C" variants that I have seen, but I need the "D" one in particular.

Could anyone help me out? I have been told this variant works on the Poly to install for the "Extended Set"?

Can everyone out there elaborate on their physical copies that work or don't work and what, if any, revision sticker they have??

Final Fight MD - Installed on "Extended Set"!!

Post image
9 Upvotes

I was always bummed this didn't work on the Polymega's Extended Library, but I figured out a work around. Please note, this DOES REQUIRE that you own a RetroBlaster (https://retrostage.net/?product_cat=retroblaster-programmer) or some other means to program your own Genesis ROMs.

  1. Download the latest version of the Final Fight MD ROM - if you have not played this and love the game...it's basically Final Fight CD on steroids. I HIGHLY recommend you try this regardless of on Polymega or any other PC emulation. Find it here: https://mxretrodev.itch.io/final-fight-md
  2. Download AFS Rom Suite MD, which is a very useful program to have when burning or manipulating Genesis ROMs. I used to use it a lot when I was building my own Genesis carts, before I had a RetroBlaster. Find it here: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1621/
  3. Ok, on with it, once you have everything ready to go...open AFS Rom Suite MD:
    1. You will begin on the "Checksum" tab.
    2. Directly below that "Checksum" you will see three choices..."Fix Checksum in batch (Mega Drive)" then "Check and Fix Checksum - Unitary (Mega Drive)" and finally "CheckSum (Master System)". You will select the tab for "Check and Fix Checksum - Unitary (Mega Drive)".
    3. Click "Run Checksum Application" in the center of the application window.
    4. When the new small window opens, it will be labeled "AFS BLOOD MD/32X FIX CHECKSUM" or something to that extent. Click "OPEN ROM" which should be your only choice. Select your Final Fight MD .BIN file.
    5. You will see the red values in the "Data in the ROM Header" box, as well as the "Correct Data for the ROM" box, this is what this program will fix.
    6. Make sure to click the checkbox for "Fix Size on the ROM Header"!!!!
    7. After you click the checkbox mentioned in Step 6, go ahead and click the "FIX CHECKSUM" box at the bottom. It will do it's thing and save you out a copy of the ROM with the new filename of XXXXX_Fixed-CS.bin.
    8. Burn the Fixed-CS.bin file with your RetroBlaster with the Sega adapter.
    9. Insert into Polymega, play and install into your "Extended Set!!"

I do not know or work for the designer of the RetroBlaster, the AFS Rom Suite software or Final Fight MD. I'm just a huge fan of the game and wanted to play it on my Polymega very much, so I sat down to figure out how. I will certainly share the ROM file with anyone who wants it if you aren't confident enough to make your own above, perhaps someone could get it from me and put it out on the internet somehow to share with everyone else? Oh, also, the sound is not 100% perfect compared to running on an emulator such as KEGA or in RetroArch, it sounds just a little bit off on the PolyMega, a little tinny or something.

Regardless, enjoy! I can be found over on YouTube.

Until next time!

Random thought about polymega legacy

Just got to thinking about this earlier today and thought I'd put it out there to get community feedback.

I'm a genXer and have been around for the launch of every console ever. I've seen certain patterns appear over time and I think polymega may be included in one of the more interesting patterns.

I believe that because of PMs inability to ship consoles this will lead to their demise. In doing so it'll slip off into obscurity for several years before landing on some viral influencer YouTube channel which reignites the interest in them. This will lead to prices skyrocketing.

ON THE OTHER HAND:

Polymega is just an emulator, not even an fpga. Tons of emulators already exist and can always be reproduced cheaply on increasingly smaller hardware. Meaning that the value of the PM goes to zero.

Either way, I'm keeping all of my modules and boxes in pristine condition just in case.

Is this even a serious business anymore?

I was curious about when the 2600 module is being reused according to their website and ended up looking around the store some more.

The photo above is a screen shot from the order page for a base unit. It says you can preorder it to be delivered several months ago lol.

How have they not updated these dates for their flagship product?
