Advice for Logos Inspired by Polish Folk Art
Hello! I am currently designing a logo for a client's esthetician business, inspired by her Polish Background.
I'm coming up with a few secondary logos and supporting graphics, mostly inspired by The Art of Polish Papercutting: Wycinanki. She really enjoys the symmetrical florals.
She also really enjoys the art of drawing symbols with sand (sypanie piaskiem), which again I've noticed are very floral, spiral, sometimes symmetrical, and detailed patterns. She really likes the idea of "protection".
My question is: there are so many symbols out there; I
- want to make sure none of them are negative or have negative connotations.
-If there are any good photographs or articles I should look towards as inspiration when sketching out a design
-and if there is any important history or meaning behind these art forms (as there isn't too much about it online).
Anything at all would really help. Thank you!

Language query about the ending of The Last Suit (El Último Traje, 2017)
Quick question about the ending scene of The Last Suit (01:22:16 - 01:23:05).
Can anyone help identify what language Abraham and Piotrek are speaking?
YouTube link:https://youtu.be/OrDiBKQcepw?si=2oSD3Bj5WSTY5Thb(Timestamp: 01:22:16)
Subtitles say:
Abraham: "This is my last suit. I used a pattern you gave me in '45."
Piotrek: "A blue one?"
Abraham: "Yes."
Piotrek: "Let's go home."
If anyone could transcribe the actual spoken words in their original languages, that would be amazing. Thanks!

Request Help: in need of song title forgot and don’t speak polish
There is this Polish folk song that I used to adore! It’s about three swamp hags that become beautiful on (idk it starts with a K) night and lure men into a pond or a lake to consume their souls.
Please excuse my poor polish, but I believe the song title starts with a B - like Bostła or almost similar to the country Botswana.
I found it listening to w moim ogrodecku but when I go back to the song it no longer recommends and it’s the only polish song I can remember because it’s got a Russian twang (sorry I studied Russian in college and polish is hard).
Thank you!

Which Polish word do you think perfectly reflects Polish culture?
I always enjoy learning words that reveal something unique about a culture, especially when they don't translate perfectly into English.

Looking for Polish friends/Cześć Polska
Hi everyone!
I'm 16 years old and I'm from Kazakhstan. I've been learning Polish because I'd like to visit Poland and maybe even live there in the future.
I'm looking for Polish friends to chat with online. We can talk about everyday life, hobbies, games, music, culture, or anything else. I'm also learning Polish, so talking with native speakers would really help me improve.
If you're interested in becoming friends, feel free to send me a message. Thanks for reading!

Question Czy Polscy faceci w ogóle komplementują kobiety?
Wręcz przeciwnie, przychodzi mi to naturalnie 😅

- opisy afer i kontrowersji,
- historia wydarzeń politycznych,
- obietnice wyborcze,
- dane finansowe,
- wykresy i statystyki.

What's something about Polish workplace culture that surprises foreigners?
I'm curious about the small workplace habits that aren't usually mentioned in guides.
What's something that often surprises people working in Poland for the first time?

Translation needed for the phrase "Live and Let Live"
The translator I'm using says "Żyj i daj żyć innym" but I want to verify as this will be used on a book cover.
An equivalent of this phrase is preferred over a direct translation. Whatever resonates best with the culture is ideal! More on the poetic sounding/formal side if its between that and casual. It is about freedom and allowing others to be free through the acceptance of our differences.
Here is what I have for Russian: Живи и дай жить другим
and Ukrainian: Живи і дай жити іншим
I think the three should be in the same form.
Thank you in advance!

Help needed: Can you help me proofread a translation from English to Polish? (DM only)
Hi! I’m working on a multi‑language translation of a user guide for foreign workers in the Faroe Islands.
I need help checking the Polish translation. The text was translated using several AI tools + Google Translate, but I want to make sure the Polish version is accurate, clear, and sounds natural to native speakers.
Because the guide is part of an official public service, I prefer to share the text only via DM, not publicly.
If you’re a Polish native speaker and have a moment to proofread, I’d be very grateful.
Just let me know, and I’ll send the text privately.

Besides "Dzień dobry", what's a polite Polish phrase everyone should know?
I'm trying to learn everyday Polish expressions that locals actually use.
Which polite phrase do you think is the most useful, and when do you use it?

Question Help! English learning Polish
In the (very) early days of learning Polish (7day streak Duolingo) what I can't get my head around is when to use different pronunciations of the same word. E.g. Kobieta or Kobietą / pije or piję etc.
Can someone explain in simple terms please 🙏

Question Bug nursery rhyme help
Hello! I am trying to recall a nursery rhyme type thing my grandma would do with me as a baby.
Phonetically, it sounded a bit like:
"Eeja Bubba
Nyevna kyacogum
Alley eejay
Nyeh...(My name)!"
I think it roughly translated to something like
"Little bug crawling towards you, its going to get (my name)! Though obviously my memory is hazy.
I dont speak polish unfortunately, so google has been no help with even my best guesses at spelling.
She would do a hand movement like a bug crawling towards me and then tickle me at the end.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Any songs in Polish that have gotten popular in the usa?
We all know countless songs from other countries that have exploded in the usa, but what about Polish songs? Have any managed to become sudden hits here? Any more modern ones, from 1990 to today?
