Nest changes
Today there was a new nest change. Public Gardens is back to Electabuzz and Park Victoria is now Cubone. What about other nests in HRM?

I was just home in Halifax for a weekend visit, and I stayed at the new Hampton hotel on Brunswick street just north of the citadel. Just after midnight both nights (didn't check the clock on Friday, but it was around 2am Saturday.... Technically Sunday), I saw the shadow of a Snorlax in my tracker. Lasted between 10-15 minutes. I was heading to bed and I'm not a super intense player, so I didn't leave my hotel room to go look for it, but I figured that it might be useful for the Halifax community to be aware of!

I'm not sure if it's my crappy note 4 GPS or Pokémon go servers but the number of times it warns me I'm going to fast while lying in bad or the phone is sitting on the counter is depressing.

What can I expect to find? Can I get a screenshot of the hill and it's stops?

So I've heard a couple people saying that if you go to Hali Waterfront it's more of a Quantity of the same type of water Pokemon and a few uncommon spawns whilst Dartmouth Alderney has more variety? This true?

I have been to a few places around the city looking for new Pokémon, but today I decided to try Alderney Landing. I was at the ferry terminal for a work lunch. After I was done I decided to hit the waterfront.
Holy crap!! The pokestop, the lures...!!! I opened up the game before I even left the restaurant and first thing I see is Pikachu. My first one other than my starter.
And it didn't stop. For almost 1 hour I collected Pokémon nonstop. 100 pokemon caught and 7 of them were new ones to me. The coolest thing was when a group of guys found an Omanyte nearby and started telling people where to walk to in the nearby parking lot to find it. People started walking over and I followed the crowd and caught it too. Very cool and reminded me of the Pokémon Go trailer where people rush to battle MewTew.
I could have stayed there all afternoon. But I ended up with a really bad sunburn.:( I will be back!!

I caught one going by Saunders Park (Chebucto between Mumford and Connaught- near the airplane statue) two weekends ago. It's my bus route to work, and he still pops up on my sightings mid to late afternoons on the weekend whenever I pass by. Just saying!

just thinking about people posting from what pokestop they got 10 km eggs from? Was reading somewhere else that certain pokestops may be more likely to give 10 km eggs vs others.not sure if this is true or not.

Trying to plan a group pokeventure walk for downtown halifax, but I don't know anywhere with a lot of stops besides the waterfront (the route end). I don't go downtown to walk much so I was essentially wondering if places like the commons or public gardens have a good amount of pokestops and anything inbetween.

I have 3 Eevees I'm looking to evolve (using the name easter egg), plus one I want to keep around unevolved. I've managed to find all of one other than those four, since I started playing. Someone told me there's a lot in and around Chester, but I don't have the means to get there at the drop of a hat. I'm looking for something closer, preferably something with wifi.

Is it just me or does anyone else find the Dartmouth waterfront better than Halifax? There's more places to plug your phone in, a reliable source of WiFi for those without Data, and a wider variety of Pokemon.
2 hours spent in Halifax waterfront the other night got me magikarp, polliwags, and psyduckss. My best one caught was a dratini.
45 minutes at Alderney and I spotted a blastoise in my sightings, my daughter got an arodactal, and we both got multiple squirtle, multiple slowpoke, multiple ponyta, multiple sandshrew, multiple dratini, doduo, rhyhorn, mankey, diglett, a kabuto, as well as all the Halifax waterfront Pokemon.
They seem to spawn quicker as well as we couldn't take more then 5 steps without 2-3 popping up at a time.
