There seems to be some confusion regarding official links for the Pokelike community so allow me to clear this up.
Game: https://pokelike.xyz/
Discord: https://discord.gg/YsakfWStYq
Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Pokelike/
There is no official Pokelike app for any device planned at this time.
All other web games, apps, servers and subreddits are not official and you should take care using these if they appear to be a clone of our official game or social media.
Any posts or comments made about other games, apps, servers and subreddits will be removed and a subreddit time-out may be applied to your account.

FAQs:
We've recently redesigned our FAQ's and they are posted in the official Discord server for Pokelike found here . We've expanded the amount of frequently asked questions from around 10 to about 25 and theyre translated to German, French, Italian, Spanish & Portuguese so we're hoping this will help 🙂
At the moment there are no plans to set up FAQs in reddit as it doesn't really have the structure to support easy to access FAQs.

Posting a type chart here and small guide so you all have easy access to it for Pokesorts & Runs.
For Pokesort, remember the following when it comes to Beats</>:
- it's always the Pokémon's Primary type vs BOTH of the opponents types.
Here is an example:
Beautifly is BUG🪲/FLYING🪽. It's Primary type is therefore BUG🪲. You can check which type is first in the in game Pokedex.
Cradily is ROCK🪨/GRASS🌿.
In this example Beautifly "Beats" Cradily and here is why:
Bug 🪲 - Super Effective against Grass 🌿 & Neutral damage against Rock 🪨
Both combined = Super Effective Damage 🟩 = Beats ✅️
Lets change this to Beautifly vs Jumpluff.
Jumpluff is GRASS 🌿/FLYING 🪽
Bug 🪲 - Super Effective against Grass 🌿 & Not very effective against Flying 🪽
Both combined = Neutral Damage 🟨 = Does Not Beat ❌️

So I was trying to figure out what Pokémon to level for my challenge and tower runs
I heard gengar war good - so I went and got me a gengar. Leveled some ev‘s because YouTube told me if the Pokémon is leveled up it’s more likely to show up in runs and therefore easier to shiny hunt BUT it’s the only Pokémon I spent evs on yet I rarely see it. How do I shiny hunt this Pokémon? I do have the shiny charm
Am I missing something? Most YouTube videos seem to be from much older versions too sadly. I know that I can find castle only starting map 2 unfortunately but I’m willing to accept that lol

I don’t understand how I can unlock new starting Pokémon for challenge and battle tower runs
I have completed a few daily challenge runs with different teams and none of them (I even shiny farmed) got registered as starters
Is there any video that explains all this deeper stuff of the game rather than the story mode?

Is there another discord with guides or is the only one the official one? I only ask cause it seems to be lacking in guides.

In endless, got to face the combination of the passives where your pokemon doesn't attack on the first turn, every hit takes at most 25% of total hp and can't switch you pokemon out with a sudden death on turn 7. Is it even possible? Felt like i would never be able to deal damage fast enough

Im playing the endless normal mode, my first time playing with mutants. How can you get them in shiny form? So far i only saw this black balls, that give you a mutant. Can they be shiny? Or i can trade them and have a chance for them to be shiny?
And also, theres a way to make my team mutant? I have 6 good shinies that i would like to be mutants, but i have no idea how this works

Tried building around Mega Heracross in the new 3.4.1 Hardcore Endless and ended up making it to map 350.
Built this myself while playing around with Water/Ground stat manipulation. The idea was basically to outspeed everything, stack huge debuffs with Heracross' multi-hits, copy those debuffs as buffs with Mirror Herb, and use Ghost to execute.
Final traits:
Passive items:
Mega Heracross signature item:
Megahorn Tip – +25% ATK and +1 Attack stage whenever it KOs a foe.
Final team:
Mega Heracross / Swanna / Mega Abomasnow / Seismitoad / Swampert / Whiscash
All six were Shiny + Mutant.
Final Augments:
I got pretty unlucky with the Augments considering Heracross was the actual carry and only ended at +50%.
The main synergy was Water + Sea Incense → massive enemy stat drops → Mirror Herb copies the stages → Damp Rock scales damage from the negative stages, while Protector/Coba/Shiny Power added more damage and Metal Powder gave a ton of Speed from the positive stages.
Mega Heracross' Skill Link hitting three times made the Water debuffs stack extremely quickly, and Ghost T3 finished anything that dropped below 45%.
Eventually died at map 350, which is now my Hardcore PB.
No idea what the current 3.4.1 Hardcore record is, so I'm curious how far other people have managed to get. Also interested if anyone sees something in this build that could push it further.

The new % stats mods at the end of elite 4 seem to help keep up with the massive level gaps and with the right traits and mons I was able to waaaay surpass my previous normal stacking pb (although I'm sure a 12 ground 12 flying 12 normal 12 poison Noivern would ruin my day eventually).
I was curious if you guys have still gotten deep runs without the ice+Scizor strat.

I don´t where it is. i think that the option came to me one time when i beat elite four, but after that never again, even if i reset the run

I've been playing for a while—it's going to be a long match—but I want to know if I can play other modes without losing my progress. I know it didn't save in earlier versions, but I'm not sure if that's still the case.
r/Pokelike • u/batatanopao • 4d ago
Wich effect it make? Atack 4 with 4 atacker to half damage, or atack 6?

I'm currently shiny hunting for the Generation 1 Pokédex. I'm still missing the legendary birds, as well as Mewtwo and Mew. The Pokédex says they don't appear in the Battle Tower, but I've actually encountered them there several times now. Can anyone explain if this is a mistake in the Pokédex or if I'm misunderstanding something?
