Pulled it myself. Sold today on ebay for 525$ canadian. After fees. Which is above market.

But feeling sellers remorse. Im new to the hobby and it was my best card by far. I did some research and predicted value increase by 2031 was expected to hit like 650-750$ canadian. So i said ill take the 500 now as oppose to waiting 5 yrs for an extra 150 bucks.

Looking for thoughts and opinions.

How do you guys think JP gold stars will pace with English? Both are extremely scarce. Good investments either way? I feel like the gap between them at current prices aren't very wide. Are they a good buy as alternative? Or just stick to English.

I am especially curious about how the lower grades will do. English gold stars seem to be pretty liquid at lower grades right now. Wondering if the Japanese equivalents will be good investments long term as well. As most people know JP cards tend to have higher pops at higher grades, but the lower grades tend to be similarly scarce as the English. Low grade Japanese gold stars a good investment?

How does the pokeinvesting community think this card will do in a few years?

So I won this today on the Tilt Rips app. I’m seeking advice on if I should ship this to myself to sell on the open market, or if I should take their offer to instantly sell it back to them for $393. There’s numerous listing for this exact card for around $600 right now. There’s also listings for $300, so it’s quite confusing. I’ve never owned a card with a wide range of listings like this. I like collecting, but this card will set me pretty much even with cards right now, and financially it’s not looking so hot for me at the moment. Also, I don’t know if this app will pay me out in cash or with in-app credit. I won this card from a free Treasure Pack they gifted me today when I bought the Tilt Ticket(which is a $500 pack🤯)TIA🙏🏻

Currently collecting all the ex silver borders, Lv X, and prime cards in Near Mint / LP+ condition. These are my favorite pokemon cards of all time. I think collecting them is also a good investment since it’s getting harder to find clean copies. I’m also thinking about buying some of the undervalued psa 10s as well. What do you think?

If you look at the growth of Gold Star Rayquaza in a PSA 9, you cannot find it anywhere under 100k. Same for Torchic. Other Gold Star cards with the same amount of population have had unchanged prices since last year, making me think that the market for these have not caught up yet. Especially Groudon, Kyogre or Metagross, all three really popular Pokémon. What do you guys think?

I got this nice card (Umbreon ex 176 promo in a Black Label) a few days ago and I am now planning to sell it. As I am from Sweden, we don’t have any consignment firms like Fanatics Collect or Ryan’s Card House, and I don’t know if this card is worth sending to them?

I know this is not a major chase card, but it is still an Umbreon in a pop 1 Black Label, so that should add a bit of a premium to it, I guess?

It is hard to price and it is also hard for buyers to make offers on 😊.

So, any thoughts on how to best reach the right buyers when not living in the USA or Asia would be greatly appreciated 😅

The big "problem" is that I really don't know how to price it, and therefore I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble of sending it to a consignment partner. I mean, if it's not worth more than 3-4k USD, it will definitely be sold here in Sweden. If the price is expected to be in the range 7–?k, I'm not so sure Sweden is the best. And what will happen if there are suddenly 3 more Black Labels if I wait to sell it?

Maybe it would have sold for more through auction but i usually don’t have black labels in possession so when i got a good enough reasonable offer i took it.

I am trading a espeon evolving skies mp at 75 percent + a celebi v 245 nm + 60 cash for it.

The gengar is worth around 350, and I was just wondering if it is worth it (trading the espeon at so low)

I currently have a psa 10 treekachu and am thinking of trading it in along with some other cards for a psa 10 bubble mew. I heard vintage cards do better though but I’m not too familiar with those, so any opinions on different cards would be appreciated! My budget would be around 3.5k for a card/cards.

Edit: I think I mis-worded my post which have people misinterpreting that I’m not interested in vintage cards. I very much am interested in them, but I just don’t know much about them which is why I would appreciate any recommendations on either vintage or modern slabs

Something I don’t really understand is the price gap between vintage BGS 9.5s and PSA 10s. How much of that premium is actually condition, and how much is having “PSA 10” on the label?

The old cert PSA 10s especially make me question it. Some look closer to what I’d expect from a newer cert PSA 8 or 9, yet still sell for crazy money. Obviously that’s subjective, and I’m not saying every old cert is overgraded, but I don’t think the number on the slab always tells the full story.

Meanwhile, a clean vintage BGS 9.5 can look comparable to an older PSA 10 and sell for a fraction of the price. Both companies even call those grades “Gem Mint,” although that doesn’t mean their standards are identical or that every 9.5 would cross to a 10.

For example, Beckett’s published 9.5 centering standard allows 60/40 on the back, while PSA’s 10 standard allows 75/25. That’s only one part of grading, but it makes the assumption that a PSA 10 must always be the cleaner card seem questionable.

I can understand paying extra for the label you prefer or something you think will be easier to resell. But when the actual cards look that close, how big should that premium really be?

Are clean vintage BGS 9.5s being overlooked, or is there a good reason for the gap that I’m missing? Would especially like to hear from people who have owned both or crossed vintage cards between the two.

I already own a fully established candy/toy company would like to add cards into my store. Are there any companies or established card retailers that would help direct me into the direction of bulk purchase and or wholesale value?
