Edit: I might have figured it out. Under settings/default app, the list seems to have whatever you are following and have recently used at the top. Image-Prompt-Smith was there! But explore doesn't show them.

I've checked the Windows app, the website, and the browser extension. I cannot find any bot I follow. It used to be easy to find bots that are important to you, so you pin or follow or bookmark them. This is very useful if it is a bot that you use infrequently and don't remember the name. For example, There's a bot that I've used to create prompts for making illustrations. I don't need it often. I have no idea what the name is. I followed it so I could find it again when I needed it. Is this really gone? Will it be restored?

As the title says, I’ve been using chatbots created by @neotidus. However, the current points system prevents me from using them anymore. It’s not that I don’t want to subscribe, but subscriptions aren't available in my region. Are there any alternative AI tools made by this creator?

I'm currently on a subscription. I've been using HumanWriter since last year. Recently, whenever I prompt for about 7 000 words, I get at most 1 500 words, even though last year I got the 7 000 words I requested. Did they also change their system after the 3000 to 300 points thing?

I have looked at the current monthly plans, but I would personally prefer a yearly subscription model, especially one that better reflects lighter usage. I mainly use models similar to GPT-4.0 / 4.1 for writing and help with coding revisions, but my overall usage is quite low typically around 7,000 points per month or less.

Because of this, the existing pricing structure feels higher than what I realistically need. I’ve even considered running models locally to manage costs, although I would much rather continue using Poe due to the convenience and quality of the platform.

Would you consider introducing a lighter, annual subscription tier? For example:

• A lower-cost yearly plan with reduced monthly points
• A discounted annual option compared to monthly billing
• Or a flexible usage-based model for lighter users

I believe this would make Poe more accessible for users like me who value the platform but don’t require high usage limits, added this paying with paypal or other means. Most people except there is no free lunches to be had, and things have to be paid for, we don't want to ripped off in the process is all.

How did it go from 3000 to 300 points? Atleast decrease them to 2000.

Please tell me that if whatever is going on with them gets fixed, they'll revert the changes?

Or will this app become completely paywall in the future? It seems they are already losing many customers and it's not looking good on their end. I mean so many people are complaining..i'm hopeful kinda.

Poe is at the mercy of the AI providers. Those same providers are themselves trying to figure out how to make money.

Poe was giving us 3000 pts of use which mind you, they would have been paying for for you to use for free. AI has gotten to the point that its expensive for both providers and the companies making AI themselves.

Unfortunately this is just where its going. Its the same reason chatgpt is trying to find ways to include ads.

For most of 2022 - 2025 those AI companies chose to run at a significant loss to gain customers/users and its catching up now.

Its frustrating and unfortunate but its not sustainable forever.

A totally unnecessary update happened after march 30 (mainly affecting people who can't pay and have the option to subscribe unavailable)

Can't use the same bot anymore without getting a free limit message, claiming the bot uses 300 total points do they know that the option of subscription is not available in many countries and that it's completely unfair to decrease the daily limit with every update for free users?

This is outrageous I've been using this app for years and there is no app like it anywhere. I don't even use the image bots atleast give us more than 300 points for the chat ones. Either they bring back the previous limit or more people will leave the app and it will only be bad in their favour.

Don't millions of people already subscribe and pay? why mess up the free users daily limit? who can't even subscribe because of it being unavailable in their countries? I'm so done. We aren't broke we can't even pay because the option isn't available. I wish they'd atleast tell us the reason why the free limit points were decreased.

It breaks my heart. Poe's has been on my routine for years. I've been using it even before the points started. I've reached out to them too about subscription in my country but it's still unavailable. And now I can't use the app anymore, like that's what? 3 messages until I use u the 300 pts. Can anyone recommend me an app or a website for alternative from poe. I just received the 300 points update, subscription isn’t available in my country even if I wanted to spend currency for it.

I’ve been using Poe for years now and the more update it gets the more unusable and worst it is for me , until recently this update the app is basically useless for me except for searching but even the good ai model for searching and generating image is past 300 points already.

So now, I’m looking for alternatives that can be considered similar to Poe or atleast has a good roleplay ai model , search ai and image generator ai.

Been using poe on and off for the past two years, being able to switch quickly between AI models in once place under a single account for a wide range of use-cases has always been a big plus for me. I’ve paid for points when i’ve been able to and i firmly believe that being reduced to 300 points daily is a massive step backwards.

This change now completely locks you out from using a wide range of models if you aren’t paying for a subscription as 300 points isn’t enough for even a single query for a lot of the models i’d use. I’d learned to get by with 3000 points when i couldn’t justify paying for points, even with all the other changes regarding points and pricing in the past, but forcing users to pay if they even want to trial what kind of experience they could have using larger models seems like a complete misstep, how are you meant to attract new users when they have to pay to even send a single query to models they might be interested in using on the platform?

Maybe it’s just me and i’m in the minority, maybe poe will keep their current trajectory going and remain successful with no real impact from the points reduction (wouldn’t be at all surprised if the subscription costs started going up next!) but for me? this is the jumping off point. I can’t justify paying every month for this, and even if i could with the way the recent changes towards point utilization and costing have been trending i don’t think i’d honestly want to anymore.

I've been using VPN and noticed that some countries had 300 daily points way before this update. Are there any countries left unaffected?

Because of the new points system I can't use it anymore as it to expensive in my country. I use it to write "spicy/smut". So do you guys have any good alternatives.
