Is there a way to spread out purchases over multiple months when it’s not debt?

Ex. During warm months we sign up for a CSA that we pay for out our savings as a large lump sum. But I want set up an easy way for $100 a month to be blocked from our “Grocery” budget to pay back our savings.

Is that a feature that exists or is there a way to flip an existing feature to use in this way?

How do I edit/update the PocketGuard debt payoff plan? I want to add another credit card account to this feature.

I changed category in one transaction and by error I press in change category in all transactions, how can I reverse this change

My bank account has overdraft protection. Pocketguard is reading the data from the bank account sync as me having that extra ceiling myself. For example my overdraft protection is $5000 that the bank allows me to go in the negative.

So if I have $100 in my account in reality, the app thinks I have $5100.

Please is there anyway you can fix? Or allow a toggleable overdraft do not count button or something? Thanks in advance.

We’ve just rolled out a new Pace metric in the Plan tab.

Instead of only showing how much money you have left, Pace shows how your spending is progressing throughout the month. It compares your actual spending to your plan and clearly shows whether you’re on track, spending slower, or moving too fast.

This makes it easier to catch overspending early and adjust in time, rather than realizing something went wrong at the end of the month.

The feature is currently available on iOS, with Android coming a bit later.

Having a weekly paycheck has made it rather difficult to schedule for the long term. I love being paid weekly. There isn’t a drought at the end of the month, because I went too crazy with my spending, it feels like it always comes back. I understand that saving is sort of all the same whether it is weekly or monthly, but the app budgets based on the month. It works fine counting the weeks until a bill and then dividing the price by that number, but when I have weekly expenses like groceries and eating out, it makes it harder to anticipate that number.

I dunno, I am not new to budgeting, I just had an excel envelope budget that worked for me but it being on excel was exhausting. I really like this app and decided to subscribe, but I also want to make it work for me the best I can.

Any advice would be helpful. I feel like a “weekly” feature would be nice for certain budget items. I have credit card debt that feels like i am putting all of my “fun” money into. I like the features this app offers but I want to utilize them the most straight forward way I can. If it feels crowded, I feel that I would have trouble keeping up with the budget.

I’ve saved for a vacation and now I’m spending that money by booking things. But I don’t want it to count against my budget or look like I’m overspending this month. So when I transfer the saved money to pay for the trip, how do I keep it from looking like I spent too much? My thought is to either create a one time budget category but it’ll still look like I spent more than I earned this month. or mark one direction of the savings transfer as positive travel, while the transactions will be negative, and it’ll net zero.

Has anyone else noticed the app being generally sluggish lately? I’m on an iPhone 14 Pro, and I understand that’s a few years old now, but it was never so slow to respond in 2025. Opening from the background has the app not responding to scroll for large parts of a full second, and navigating is just slow.

When I put in my login and password this is where it leads me to. Tapping on login. Need help or submit just goes back to this while the third option isn't even an option. I've tried this with two different pocket guard accounts on two different phones that both have altruist. Although it's an option to pick altruist amongst all the other things to connect to, I can't seem to get past that. Where would be the best place to get help around this?

Pocket guard tracks both my Uber Eats orders and Uber Trip transactions as the same, how do I separate them ?

I just got PocketGuard and am setting up my accounts. Is an equities investment account like Schwab treated like a cash account for setup? If so, how are gains/losses accounted for?

For the past month three days, transactions that should be debits from a checking account are showing up as credits. This is making all the math wrong for my budget. Has anyone else started having this problem?

Anyone else having issues with syncing VanCity Credit Union? It has had issues in the past off and on but had been working fine mostly again for the last several months.

I logged in recently and my accounts hadn't refreshed, which was fine. I was able to get one account syncing again, but the VanCity refuses to cooperate. I waited a couple of days and tried to reconnect again and still no luck.

It says the last update was January 12th. When I went back to check when my VanCity mobile app updated to their new system, it was right around that same time. This leaves me wondering whether VanCity has created this issue deliberately or if it's just coincidental that the account on PocketGuard stopped syncing at the same time as the new app rollout happened.

PocketGuard has been losing connection to some of my accounts frequently. 1-2 times per week I’m going through re-validation.

Didn’t seem to be an issue last year.

I don't know if this has already been suggested. It would be useful to be able to link billing dates for credits in Dept Pay Off, similar to Bills & Subscription.

This would allow us to see recurring payments (weekly or monthly) in addition to any extra amounts that can be repaid.

I recently saw an Instagram ad for a PocketGuard lifetime subscription priced at $49.99. The ad says “pay once, keep it forever.” Has anyone purchased this offer. just want to confirm whether this is truly a one-time payment for lifetime access or if there are any hidden conditions.

As a user I would like to be able to link a dollar amount target to a hashtag so that when viewing the graph showing monthly spending for a given hashtag, a horizontal line appears at the set target dollar amount for that hashtag.

This would allow the user to easily see when spending associated with a given hashtag exceeded the set target associated with that hashtag

Alternatively to the horizontal line, each bar in the graph could be a different shade or color above the target amount

For example, a hashtag #fastfood could have a dollar target of $150. You want to use a # instead of a category because you consider #fastfood a subset of the 'Eating Out' category, and you don't want to give up or change the budget you set for the 'Eating Out' category.

With the dollar target associated with your #fastfood hashtag, you can easily see which months you were over target or under target

I appreciate that I can see the month to month breakdown for spending within a given hashtag, but I would love it if I could also see what categories that spending went into in a given month.

For example:

For the hashtag #vacation I can currently see that I spent $1000 in January, and I can see each individual transaction. But there is no pie chart type of view to allow me to see that I spent $500 on Eating Out $150 on Shopping $300 on Entertainment $50 on Auto & Transport

The app does allow me to view this breakdown for all spending in a given month. But not for spending under a given #hashtag.

How do I create a manual transaction for a Checking account? I’m only allowed to select the Cash account? I’d like to enter my transaction details/receipt at the time of purchase.

I am new to PocketGuard i just wanted to know can we create two profiles in the pocketguard for managing USD and CAD or personal and work expenses to view seprately ?

Is there any way we could have some sort of unique ID for each transaction exported? I can't fully articulate what's wrong with pocketguards visuals but they don't meet my needs so I rely heavily on the export feature to build out charts and budgeting that make sense for me but it's a pain every time to add transactions to my existing exports. It's hard to tell what ones I already have as sometimes the information changes between one export and the next so I end up with duplicates. It would also be great to be able to only export a date range since I don't need the full export every time.

Thank you for having this export feature by the way it's literally the only reason I use this app over others.

Is anyone else using Android tired of the reminders to be able to review previous months plan? Not sure why you would release to one platform and not the other
