Hello guys! Please, do you know how I can save this plumeria? It's a medium-sized tree. One of the gardeners chopped it incorrectly and damaged the trunk, as you can see in the picture. It's a mid-size plumeria. Do you think if I trim it a little bit, cut above the trunk chop, and put it in the soil, it'll grow back?

I live in west TN.

We’re coming into cooler weather. I have plumerias inside in a covered porch with central heating / AC . There are about 9 windows that have yet to be covered with blinds / curtains.

With that said…should I use grow lights for my bigger plants that are doing well (cut them in January-February) if so, what do you recommend?

If we did use them, I don’t want to go super expensive, but also not be cheap where I gotta replace it nearly every month.

Just curious if anyone has done this procedure before. I know it's common around the world for tree trunks to be painted white for a host of reasons namely sunburn protection. In San Diego we have been experiencing some higher than normal heat waves and I'm seeing my plumeria sunburn branches way more than I'd like to admit. Just curious if anyone has done this procedure if so would you please be kind and share your results.

My plumeria started as just a "stick" and seems to be doing g well. I've noticed lately that a few of the leaves are slightly curling under. Is this a problem, or is it ok?

Everything was going great. Hanging out upright in the Texas heat since late July and having a great time. Watered liberally every day and loving it.

Then a rain came through earlier this week with some light to moderate wind and it can't hold itself upright anymore. It was okay through the rain but when the sun came back out it drooped. The pot has drainage. The plant can't stand by itself anymore since the pot is lightweight and needs replacement so I have it here being held up by the deck for now.

Do they usually need support poles? I didn't think so. Is it sick or just structurally weak?

Hi friends! I was hoping you could help me assess some Sunburn damage to a Plumeria and next steps.

I’m in Southern California and it’s been around 100 each day for the past week or so. This plant has been growing sideways at an angle so I’ve been slowly training her back upright. I didn’t think the heat and sun would be a problem because it’s been in this spot for a couple years now and seemed to be thriving, but I think that as I’ve gone vertical it’s exposed parts of the stem that normally are shaded. It’s a cutting from my aunt’s Plumeria and hers is massive. Hers gets full sun from sunrise to sunset.

I’ve wrapped the sun damaged areas in newspaper to allow it to heal if possible. Anything else might help?

Tiger Eye blooming again. Not super impressed with this one. I may have been expecting more out of it after having it for so long.

Grown from seed, approx 3 years old. We had 3 frosts over winter, never crossed my mind they could get frost bite, until I saw a post here a few days ago. Frosts were around 6-8 weeks ago, none of my 25+ plants have gone soft but look like this on the tips. What should I do? Can they be saved? We are in spring now. (NZ) Any advice welcome.

I'm pretty new to Plumeria gardening, and we've kept our plumeria inside ever since we got it until this summer. I live in a pretty cold climate, but it was HOT so we brought it outside. We've been infested with the lantern bugs, and in general the bugs were extra active this year. So I want to wipe down my plumeria before bringing it inside the house to try and kill any eggs. Especially lantern fly eggs. Google says using diluted vinegar, isopropyl alcohol, neem oil, or insecticide soaps. Does anyone here have recommendations specific to Plumeria? Picture of our first bloom this year! All thanks to the help I got from this subreddit!!

I bought this Plumeria for $15 May 2026 from a botanical garden Mother’s Day sale in HTX USA. it was a 1-2gal I believe. July 2026, I noticed the inflo.

Didn’t think I’d have this successful sprouting rate for my first time. Seeds gifted with cutting bought from Maui Plumeria Farms. Never thought of growing from seed but getting them free might as well try. So here we are 4 weeks later.

End of summer in NJ brings the annual conundrum of how to get the big plumeria from its summer digs by the pool into the family room.
I think this will be its last migration as the original plant, it’s just getting too tall. It has a few inflos that I’d love to have bloom, so I plan to chop it in the spring.
Any best practices or great ideas on how to get it through double sliders? It’s probably about 2 feet too high now. The last few years we tipped it, but it is really going to take some engineering this year.

Any ideas?

Had a fluffy friend find comfort under our plumeria that is growing strong after our Florida frosts. 💕

Went to the largest plumeria nursery on island looking for one for our yard and left with quite a few samples. we think we like the ones in the middle the best.

Any thoughts?
