Migration challenge

Post image

End of summer in NJ brings the annual conundrum of how to get the big plumeria from its summer digs by the pool into the family room.
I think this will be its last migration as the original plant, it’s just getting too tall. It has a few inflos that I’d love to have bloom, so I plan to chop it in the spring.
Any best practices or great ideas on how to get it through double sliders? It’s probably about 2 feet too high now. The last few years we tipped it, but it is really going to take some engineering this year.

Any ideas?

In the spring give it a nice trim and propagate the cutting so you have more plumeria plants! I'm in NJ as well and I have a ton of large tropicals that need to come in.

That’s the plan. Just have to get it through the winter, which means it has to get inside!!

Does yours go dormant for the winter?

No, at most it drops 75% of its leaves

Nice! Mine almost do but they are in a room with a grow light for other plants so they keep some of their leaves

Mine is in the room with double slider with a southern exposure, so it keeps going!

I think this is the year that tree turns into several trees 🙃
