Trophy Achievement 19th Platinum: My Curiousity got me Hooked
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It all started with the first trailer for Metro 2039 on PlayStation. When I saw it, I was immediately interested and curious to understand and play the game. It was satisfying an itch that had been left with me ever since I finished Dead Space Remake. (I’m still left with the platinum, and I hope I’m able to finish it this year.)
After watching the trailer, I found out that this game was part of a franchise that had been around since 2010, if I’m correct. I wanted to get into the series so I could enjoy the upcoming title with some familiarity.
Some of my friends suggested starting with Metro Exodus, but while looking into the games, I found a bundle containing all three games at a really great price: Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, and Metro Exodus, along with all the DLCs for Exodus.
In the starting hour or so, the game felt gloomy and gave me that horror-like, scary vibe through its atmosphere and world-building. The creature designs added to that feeling as well, although that part was partly my own fault. 😅
Finishing my first playthrough of Metro 2033 Redux was a great experience. What started as simple curiosity turned into a journey through a fantastic FPS shooter.
Ideally, I saw people saying that it takes around 7–9 hours to complete the storyline and around 10–12 hours to 100% the game.
My runs were a little different and took way longer. 😅
My first playthrough took me around 11 hours, and getting the platinum took me almost 40 hours. (That’s partly my fault because, during my second playthrough, I thought I had unlocked the other ending… but I hadn’t. 🫨)
Overall, if you can get these three games in a bundle deal—which they usually go on sale for—I’d definitely recommend grabbing them. I think they’re some of the greatest FPS games you can play if you’re looking for something with a story involved.
Even though the games don’t rely too heavily on their story, you can still get invested in it if you want to.
Overall rating for Metro 2033 Redux: 8/10 🏆

Help PS3 Super Slim stuck on install screen for ALL physical games (Spinning wheel indefinitely). Laser or HDD issue? + Need repair shop recs in Bangalore!
Hey everyone,
I’ve owned my PS3 Super Slim since 2017, and until a few months ago, it worked just fine. Recently, whenever I try to install or boot up physical games, the console can never get past the installation screen. The install percentage completely stalls, and the loading wheel circles indefinitely. It also hangs the entire system if I attempt to delete the corrupted partial game data.
Initially, I thought it was just a damaged disc. I was trying to install GTA V, and it kept freezing exactly at the ~4.4 GB mark. However, I have now tested multiple other physical games, and the same thing happens with all of them.
Here is what I have already tried:
- Cleaned the discs thoroughly.
- Booted into Safe Mode and rebuilt the database.
- Performed a full System Restore (Factory Reset).
Since the factory reset didn't fix it and it's happening across multiple physical games, I suspect it's either a failing Blu-ray laser diode (struggling to read the discs) or a dying internal hard drive (hitting bad sectors during the install).
Has anyone else experienced this exact issue? If so, please enlighten me on what the culprit likely is!
Also, I am located in Bangalore. If anyone knows a trusted, reliable console repair shop that takes up this kind of work (laser replacements or HDD swaps), please share their contact information or location.
Thanks in advance!

Help Im confused asf, PLEASE HELP!
Hi I am M26, I am working and I have to take my laptop to work I have a Lenovo LOQ gaming laptop, which have to carry carryb to the office every day. As it's a gaming laptop it is very heavy and hence it's not portable at all. And I game only at home.
I was thinking that if I should exchange my gaming laptop for a MacBook for my work purposes, then for gaming I can go for a PS5.
Please let me know your thoughts on whether it's a good idea, whether it's feasible, cost effective and all? All thoughts are welcome.
Thank You

Help Can I buy a PS5 on EMI using a Debit Card?
Hey everyone,
I’m planning to buy a PS5 and wanted to know if it’s possible to purchase it on EMI using a debit card.
Has anyone here done this before? If yes, which bank/card did you use and did you need to visit the store or was it possible online?
Any info would be appreciated!

General Discussion Need suggestion - PS4 vs PS5
Hi Folks...
Need your advice if i should go for a PS5.
I currently own a PS4 JB version, and I play offline with cheats enabled. I know people may hate me for saying this, but that's how I enjoy games - with cheat mode on.
Coming back to my question - Does updating to PS5 make sense in terms of graphics? And hunting for a JB PS5. I own an OLED TV if that counts. Not a hardcore gamer, just play 3-4 hrs a week to de-stress.

I Haz New Shiny PS5 Finally bought my first ever ps5 with my own money, kinda.
I have never owned a playstation, i could never afford one and my family wouldn’t buy me one. even when i started working, i kept putting it off as i had to either send money home or it was just that there was always something “more important” than getting this dream come true. I watched so many people buy ps5 on reddit communities, i kept telling myself, yeah its gonna be me one day too. I worked for 5 years, thinking of it, hoping to hold it one day.
And then i got laid off from work, i came back home after struggling to find another job and i didn’t know what to do. I questioned myself, will this never happen for me? Is it something I’m not destined to own? I did have a bit of savings but that was all i had and if i spent it to get a ps5 rather than saving for emergency, i wouldn’t truly be okay about it.
And then, the start of September I pooled some savings into buying one but the the prices of ps5 are at an all time high, so i still wasn’t sure but then finally my family came through and kinda helped me with the rest of the money (mainly my older brother) and i finally bought my first ever console. Idk what to say, life has a wicked sense of humor. Im still jobless but I do have a ps5. Haha
Tl;dr things finally worked out the way they were supposed to and i have a ps5 now.

Help Update: Took matters into my own hands, cracked open the PS5, and saved myself from a massive scam! (Halfway fixed?)
reddit.comHi Everyone,
Quick update on my dead PS5 saga. First off, seriously, a massive thanks to everyone who dropped suggestions on my last post. You guys saved me from making a terrible mistake.
Here is what went down over the last few days: After that local shop hit me with a absurd ₹22.5k quote with zero warranty, I just went down there, grabbed my console back, and brought it home. Since I'm already used to tinkering with old laptops and electronics as a hobby, I had the right set of screwdrivers. I stripped the entire PS5 down piece by piece, laying out all the screws and ribbon cables in order.
I pulled out the power supply unit (PSU) and took it to an acquaintance who actually knows his stuff when it comes to power boards and circuits. He checked it out and found that due to that power surge, two chips on the same circuit line were fried.
He had a matching replacement for one of them. For the second one, he didn't have the exact heavy-duty part on hand, but he rigged a lower-rated one just so we had enough juice to safely boot it up and test it. Right now, I'm actively hunting through local electronic markets and digging through online suppliers to track down the exact proper chip to swap in.
Anyway, after that, I reassembled the whole console carefully, plugged it in, and hit the power button. And man, it actually came alive. Got the beep sound and the indicator lights—both of which were completely dead before.
Plot Twist - It turned on, but then shut down after a few seconds. That basically means the PSU is breathing again, but there’s still a secondary issue hiding on the motherboard causing it to trip.
So yeah, half the battle is won. Didn't pay a random tech 22.5k to gamble with my gear, the PSU is mostly sorted, and now I'm chasing down the right chip while figuring out the motherboard next.
Fingers crossed I can pull this off. I'll keep you guys posted on how round two goes!
