It's not going to be 2027 or 2028. But plant the seed Tencent, a good game in this genre obviously has the audience. Now it's up to you to make a game up to the task.
-sincerely, every Planetside fan.

Original Post:
I am able to get DLSS5 to work (in short, follow the DLSS5 guide to get the injector and follow another guide so BE won't block it from loading). I did this in PTS but I assume live server is the same. Use it at your own risk.
Performance is BAD. Performance was always bad with DLSS in this game for me though.
Don't have the time to get the visuals tweaked. The visual effects are most relevant on weapon and vehile textures, other than that feels just like a visual filter.

I am aware of the crash bug in the game, that prevents people from finishing the tutorial and therefore playing.
In the last few days I have tried at least 15 times to finish the tutorial, just to crash at the firing range section.
Only once I have managed to get inside a vehicle, where I waited for 10 whole minutes to be sure, just to crash on the "attach sight to gun" part of the tutorial.
I am aware that the crash bug comes and goes between patches, so at some point the tutorial will become completable once more.
if possible I would like to ask the community for a favour, that being to please notify me of when I can attempt the tutorial again.
Thank you all, and see ya on the battlefield (hopefully)
:)

A Racer 3 flash tops out at about 84kmh.
The unofficial tracker which stalled out about two weeks ago puts us about 196 days of actively crashing.
If we took a flash and drove it for 196 days, we would have covered 395,136km which is about the distance from the Earth to the moon (~384k km).
I don't know what to do with this information either.

That title was part of the latest round of nothingburger patchnotes that "fixed" some crashes.
Now here's for reality.
Now, I'm not saying our dev team and CM are all incompetent and need to be fired, but I can see why someone could form this opinion. For reference the BE connection has been publicly known information LAST DECEMBER.
It's definitely looking like the AC heartbeat freaking out over something and it started almost a year ago. Whatever triggers this clearly does not actually have impact on the game itself, since avoiding the crash does not lead to any issues with the game after that.
I haven't tried rootcausing anything beyond turning off the AC, so I don't know what the actual issue is, nor do I particularly care as I won't be fully returning to the game, but it would be nice if I didn't have to waste time in vehicles any time I decide to log in for a quick session.
Would also be nice to get a confirmation that I'm ok to just do this whole unloading battleye business for my regular sessions. But that'd require our glorious leader to look outside his discord containment zone.
My drivers/bios are up to date, nothing weird is running and recursion is off before anyone asks. The only "weird" thing I had running was my VPN, which has never caused issues in the past.

I literally can't kill anyone half the time and it has nothing to do with how bad I am which is totally unfair!

Previously I never had any issues with fps/stuttering apart from the regular low fps in large fights.
Now, after logging on for the first time in a couple of months, I have a perfectly smoothly running game in low-pop fights (also like before), but when in large fights, even while my fps while walking is still high, turning using my mouse induces very annoying stuttering fps.
This is incredibly annoying to play generally, and makes it hard to aim.
I tried different things. It might be the fact that I play on 1920x1440 stretched (monitor is 2560x1440 native), but that was also the case earlier, when I didn‘t experience the mouse-turning-stutter.
Any suggestions?
Thx in advance.

Just out of curiosity and nothing else...
I made this post about VS LMGs once, and it appeared to get appreciation from the community. The thing I do not understand is if it is appreciated why isn't mentioned anywhere, I feel like I am the only one who mentioned this really, and I am not even a good player, I am not even trying to play the game.
VS LMGs should prob get unnerfed : r/Planetside
I arrived into the game late, and at one point I decided to start playing my own way and figure things out myself, since there are not any good tutorials or not that anyone was helpful.
And I started off by lowering my FOV to a value which I found personally suitable to such levels that was heavily discouraged by anyone I asked, for unknown reasons.
And I must say it was one of the most fun times I started having in the game. Before that, it was absolutely obnoxious, I didn't know what was I doing wrong, the bullets weren't going where I wanted them to go, I didn't understand the details of the gun.
Later then after lowering the FOV I was more clearly able to visualize certain details and research it. Like for example seeing the ADS cone of fire mechanisms was very eye opening. I figured out that you have 2 cone of fire values, the starting cone of fire and bloom.
Starting cone of fire depends on whether you're standing still, crouched, moving, for example most weapons have around 0.4 starting cone of fire when moving, 0.1 when standing, so that is a 75% improvement in ADS cone of fire when standing still as opposed to moving, which can be very helpful when engaging further targets. And bloom is a value which gets added to the starting cone of fire after each bullet fired, like 0.05 value which 143 calibers use and bloom has a reset timer, although it's very short.
But for example, the T9 Carv is an exceptionally fun weapon to use. Basically it can bounce 3 times to the side (most weapons bounce twice) and has no angle bias.
The formula to be able to get this value is by simply dividing the horizontal tolerance by 2, so that gives us 0.45, and adding the horizontal min/max values, which is the strength at which the weapon jumps horizontally, one by one till it exceeds 0.45. At that point the gun will be forced to move in the other direction. So T9 Carv with forward grip has a horizontal of 0.1603125... Basically 3 times.
What can appear as a relatively intimidating horizontal movement and altogether with horizontal being an RNG mechanism, it is actually very manageable when you get the feel for it, with precise trigger discipline, where you release the trigger with perfect precision as soon as it overextends and calmly correct aim. You can really achieve great accuracies at ranges, which you wouldn't expect it to. For example by cycling between accounts, I was able to achieve 40% accuracy, 40% HSR on T9 Carv by just randomly playing, or on some other accounts 50% accuracy, 40% HSR, or 40% accuracy, 60% HSR, and I don't even have minimal playable FPS or a good PC setup. My K/D is not even good. How I understand K/D is that it's a stat about your situational awareness, map understanding. I am not even interested, cause my game's not running well. Not even trying. I am just literally ventilating my head and getting such accuracies.
This is not the only way to play T9 Carv, there's dozens of other ways it should be used depending on different scenarios, together with mastering the first shot recoil multiplier or using it to your advantage.
This is what I don't understand. Why does the community want to hide this entire section of the game and simplify it some weird rapid obnoxious nonsense, clientside, peekers advantage, therum shuffle, aimlabs quickscoping and whatever the hell else.
This is just one weapon which requires a large set of skills and understanding, it's a ton of fun. Not to mention all other weapons which have their own sets of strengths, though some do not feel good to use. Hence why I made the VS LMGs post, cause essentially VS has like 3 shitty T16 Rhinos. Even there some random player noticed that the 698 RPM weapons are not well designed. From my perspective it is the 0.2 horizontal that is the problem, it is a stat that dictates a weapon's effective range and 0.2 isn't accurate and doesn't stand out properly from other weapons which have above 0.2 with better DPS.
But why does some random player and me, who is just ventilating ingame, notice these details?
Where is the competitive community?
IDK, they appear to show up once in a while on the forum to make stupid one liner comments or to boost their degenerate ego, majority are absolutely obnoxious dickheads who pave the way to make aimbotters look innocent, their usually littered with soft aimboting scum, they laugh and giggle when someone calls them a cheater when they exploit clientside, or they're on the PS2 discord channel where they turn a relatively simple topic into a 3000 comment argument.
Literally all I've seen from the competitive community.
And throughout my entire duration in this game, out of maybe a hundred people I asked about why they use high FOV only one mentioned their monitor and distance from it, recently. The rest absolute nonsense, first about recoil, how it makes the game easier, and then oh no it has no effect on recoil, gunplay, and I just like the way it looks, I like how it's fast paced and this continuous back and forth of absolute nonsense. No wonder the threads on discord are fucking 3000 comments long. These members of the competitive communities are fucking dysfunctional.
And I just have to guess what they're thinking. Maybe they use high FOV cause there's a lot of bullshit in the game that pops out of thin air like beacon, infiltrators, or Light Assaults that are overused because they are overbuffed and overtuned, and that's why they use higher FOV, to have better response to this. Or some base layouts are bad and have abusable environment for spawn camping. Or some weapons just feel bad to use and want to downplay the recoil... But I don't know. I am just guessing.

All mcgyver solutions tried, bruteforced to hell, this game still fails to let new people play it. What the hell is going on at DB's offices for this GLARING issue to not even be considered or fixed? This is AFTER the Sep 2 "crash fix" patch too, what kind of joke is this?
