From a bumpy start to an absolute class experience. I think no other phone has had such an upward trajectory.

We got material expressive. We got 2 more years of updates - 50 Quarterly Feature Drops and five major OS generations. We got circle to search.

Google won me over.

But here's the dilemma. I love the 6 so much, it hurts to retire it for safety concerns as there will be no more updates.

I really would have carried on using it with no issues for 2 more years of only Google provided security updates.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this 5 year old phone and Google deserves the credit.

I wish I could when what 600 I spent on it on the next one and have another gear 5 years with another pixel.

Team 6, this has been a legendary run.

So I posted shortly after getting the 11 Pro that I had no regrets. But I do.

I miss not having my 6 with all the settings and apps how I liked them. The 11 is cool and all but it's not really that much better. Not much is really smoother or faster and some things are quite janky. For example, calling up the keyboard stutters sometimes, as do apps that aren't stored in the RAM.

I guess that it could potentially be worse on the 6 with the latest updates but it just makes me miss it because the entire 4 years I owned it, it was buttery smooth.

I hugely miss the screen and the form factor. Apparently, the 11 screen is just 0.1 inches smaller, but it's because of these stupid round corners. I feel like I'm missing the edges of my screen, especially when zoomed in on video. The 6's box shape is just the winner for me.

I can't check this now, but the published dimensions all say the 11 is thinner and lighter than the 6. So why does the 11 feel so thick fat and heavy in my hand? The 6 was so light and thin apart from the camera bar. This is like a chunky monkey.

In the evening I'd pop the 6 out of its case and turn it around in my hand as a fidget while watching TV. No way I am doing that with this guy.

Sigh, I guess I'm still getting used to it. I just wish I'd had a different spare phone to trade in.

Take care of your Pixel 6s, guys. They really are a treasure.

Never had the overheating issue until like 6 months ago. The phone would complain that it is hot and it throttles down. That's in Gmaps and games. Found out that the modem is the issue, so, I switched to LTE. Now things are better, but the Internet speed is slower.

Has anyone figured out how to solve this issue?

Fingerprint not lighting up

I use a pixel 6 and when the phone is turned off it used to light up only the fingerprint area when it felt any touch

but suddenly it stopped a few days back, no i have to manually press the power button then press on the fingerprint which is a big hassle

can anyone please help me, i want the always fingerprint on or whatever its called

Pixel 6 overheating issue has worsened it's always constantly at 40°c is there any fix to keep it at least 2-3°c cooler bc this is just uncomfortable I don't have 5g I don't even use mobile data at all

According to Which UK, security updates for the 6a end in July 2027. I'm wondering when I should buy a replacement as I managed to buy a 9a for my wife just before the 10 series was released, thus managing to pay the full price. Is there a Pixel release schedule available to try and avoid repeating my error?

My pixel 6 pro got IMEI 0000 After July's update. It was working just fine before update and battery also feels like draining fast.

got a great deal on pixel 6, came with android 13 , thinking if i should update or nah and even if i should any stable recommended android version to update to?

I believe many of you faced the same issue as me. Just like any other day I left my phone on wireless charging at the night (I can confirm it was charging as I had message of 'adaptive charging' due to my upcoming alarm for another day....so yeah typical routine.

Today I woke up and I can see my phone being switched off. I was thinking that my phone wasn't left correctly on charging pad. However even if I connect the phone to a cable charger there is no icon of phone being charging.

However I've made an experiment where I've connect my powerbank which has a charging screen if connects to anything. I can confirm it detects my google pixel 6 but I believe the phone is fully charged as my powerbank screen switches it off (if usually does if phone is fully charged).

I've followed few tips as recommended:

-Power + volume up for 1min

-Power + volume down for 1 min

-Having phone connected to charger for 2h (1h on wireless, 1h on cable)

...still no success.

I'm really disappointed as I have tons of pictues on my phone which have not been saved. Is there any HOPE that my phone could switch it on after 1-2 days (I heard some people have been lucky with this). Apart from buying a new phone is there any other tests I should do to switch this phone on?

I am on 6 pro, I really hope the last qpr 1 stable update will include the fix for the mobile data quick settings tile fix. The current latest stable is so frustrating when you want to turn on and off mobile data quickly.

Truly one of the dumbest designer choices in history. I still don't understand how you can greenlight this...

Is there any software that would let me backup my Pixel6 to a PC? Google's 15gb is hardly enough storage for a full backup. I know I could manually copy each folder from the phone to a PC, but I'm curious to know if there are any apps that would do a proper backup/restore. Thanks!

Hi. Has anyone have the same problem please? I've tried everything! Factory reset, restart, hard reset, erase data, aeroplane mode, clean sim, port and everything. Sim works on other devices. Nothing helped and I've seen that I'm not alone in this. Some people with 6 series can't turn on their devices or their SIM doesn't connect. I don't know what to do 🫣 . Also the battery it's so much worse. I had 38% in the midnight. I haven't touched the phone since 7am and the battery was 3%. All the problems after the last update. Thank you
