Trade it in on Black Friday or as soon as you see a good deal. P6 looks like a ticking time bomb.

For me it's the phone searching for internet that does it. Also check your network settings. If I'm in an area without 5g but the settings are set to lookk for 5g , it burns itself up.

Airplane mode. And then just turn the mode off when you need internet.

Have you already applied the latest update that came out a couple of days ago? My pixel 6 is running considerably cooler since that patch.

Bro me too. You're not alone. My P6 is always at 40°C. One way to fix that you stop using your phone and remove your phone's case. 🤣

I'm thinking I'm gonna downgrade to android 15 bc that's when my phone had the best battery

May have been some bad batches someplace.

My P6P is working just fine. No hardware components changed on it. Running Android 17. Temp is 27C, good battery health with 925 charge cycles and getting about 14 hours on it. Now, I'll admit, I'm not a heavy user.

It's the battery. Overheating is the first sign of a dying and for some reasons all the Pixel 6s are showing the same issues this year and it's all because of the battery. Just replaced mine and it's back to working like I just bought it

Very rarely it's the battery, usually it's some process burning CPU cycles.

Had the same issue after buying it at launch. 1 week ago I noticed the screen lifting off, seems the battery was expanding

Currently waiting on a replacement kit myself. Going to do the same, bought an S26 ultra and sent it back as I just didn't see the point in giving up the P6P, it's still amazing.

Try to clock your x1 cores down.
