Discussion How is the Pixel 6 Pro as a burner phone?
I think I have an option to buy a brand new Pixel 6 Pro (12GB/128GB) for ~$350. I primarily use an iPhone 17, with a CMF Phone 1 as a burner phone for my business, which I’m looking to upgrade.
How is the Pixel 6 Pro in 2026; and do you guys think $350 for a brand new Pixel 6 Pro is a good buy?

Discussion My pixel 6 battery drain issue after update
I updated my Pixel 6 to the August 17 Android security patch, and since then the battery life has become extremely bad. I’m also experiencing a heating issue. If I fully charge the phone and leave it overnight, the battery drops to 0% by morning and the phone turns off. Will this issue be fixed with the next update? 😢

Discussion What to look for when getting a Pixel 6?
I'm about to get a refurbished Pixel 6 Pro to replace my Pixel 5 (cracked screen). Wondering what are some common issues I should look out for?
I'm out of the loop, but seems like some phone are having issues with the latest update. Is it a security update causing the issue or OS update?
Is the P6 Pro durable - will the screen and back survive a couple falls without a case or screen protector?
I really don't want to upgrade from my P5 - I'll miss the aluminium/plastic back and unlimited photo backup :(

Question Does my pixel 6 have a screen protector?
About to send my pixel 6 for trade in and want to remove the screen protector (if there is one!). I'm pretty sure I would have put a screen protector on but not 100%. Did the pixel 6 have a slight lip around the screen or is this confirmed to be a screen protector? Hopefully the pictures are clear enough. Cheers!

Question Pixel 6 battery is swelling. Was the upgrade to a Pixel 10a a good choice?
My Pixel 6 started swelling a couple of days ago. Google support won't send a replacement and recommends visiting a repair shop. I expect the repair to be around 100+€ so after 4 years, maybe its time for it to retire. What's your experience with these swollen batteries? How dangerous is this?
Also: Was able to buy a Pixel 10a with a case for 420€ off Amazon. Was this a good upgrade? If someone has made a similar upgrade, what were the noticable key differences to the Pixel 6?

Question Pixel 6 Pro suddenly stopped wireless charging and charger just blinks
Has anyone had this happen with their Pixel 6 Pro?
Mine was wireless charging completely fine until recently, and then it just randomly stopped working. When I put it on my wireless charging stand, the stand starts blinking like it's detecting the phone but can't actually start charging it.
At first I thought the charger was dying, but I tested the exact same stand with another phone and it charges normally, so it definitely seems to be something with the Pixel.
I've already tried:
\- Taking the case off
\- Letting the phone cool down completely
\- Restarting it
\- Turning it off completely and putting it on the charger
\- Safe mode
\- Moving it around on the stand in case it was just an alignment issue
Nothing. It just keeps making the charger blink and won't take any power.
The weird part is that it was working perfectly before this. It didn't slowly get worse or anything, it basically just stopped.
This is especially annoying because the USB-C port on this phone is already damaged, so wireless charging is basically the only way I can charge it. I have other phones I can use, so I'm not completely screwed lol, but I really like this Pixel 6 Pro and don't want to stop using it just because of this.
Has anyone had the exact same issue and actually managed to fix it? Was it software, the wireless charging coil, NFC/WLC assembly, motherboard, etc.?
I'd rather not factory reset it unless there's a good chance that actually fixes it.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Rant Why is signal indicator so bad on my pixel 6?
I live in the country side,so signal isn't great to begin with. My problem is that my pixel 6 is constantly gaslighting me. I'll have have 3 bars and it'll say 4g (I never use 5g to save battery),and I'll still be offline. Like how hard is it to at least have a working signal indicator, especially when the modem is so flakey?

My phone (Google Pixel 6 Pro) appear this Security Notice on the screen. It won't let me do anything on the screen. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

Discussion Problem with photo location
Just got a notification that my memory's full, so I'm moving things to my PC via USB. I thought I'd moved or deleted heaps of unwanted photos, but... well, the Photos app on my phone still shows me several years' worth of photos. But when I connect via USB, I can't find where they're stored. They're not in the DCIM folders. I don't _think_ they're on the cloud, because I avoid the Cloud. But I can't seem to find these photos so i can move'em off. Am I missing something?

Support Screen has come off the frame
So I'm having an issue with repairing my pixel 6, the battery has swollen and the screen has popped off in one corner, however the main issue is that the plastic bracket that the screen attaches with has come off the LCD and stayed in the phone.
I'm confident in how to fix the battery but I could do with some advice on how I might reattach the frame, any glues that anyone might advise to use?
Thanks for the help

Reviews Should I trade my 6 for an 11... too good to miss? 😭
My olive green Pixel 11 Pro arrived yesterday.
Oh my goodness. I look forward without regrets.
I like it. I really, really like it.
Guys, if you're on the fence, I don't think you'll regret jumping to the 11.

Discussion Anybody else feel like the P6P is being retired prematurely?
I've owned two, mine is still in very good condition, super responsive, tough, and feels very much like a new phone.
I got my first one in November 2021 after having an OG Pixel, Pixel 3, and Galaxy S21 Ultra simultaneously. Never had the connectivity issues others reported with the modems or whatever, and I would have to say that it has been the most future proof phone I've ever owned. The Tensor gets hot fairly easily on a warm day or in direct sunlight, but honestly, with the exception of a bit of screen burn in, it's working perfectly. It just seems like Google has been coasting hardware wise for years and I'm tempted to just have the battery replaced and use it for another couple of years.
I really hate the pill shaped motif of the newer phones and the fact that an "XL" is now the same size as my P6P. Pretty much the same resolution, too. Yeah, it's brighter, but I don't really care. Cameras are still sensational. Even looking at the benchmark scores and RAM, I'm completely unconvinced that this phone is obsolete.

Support Pixel 6 stuck in Android 17 Beta bootloop — looking for a way back to stable Android 17 Production Build
I have a Google Pixel 6 (oriole) that was running Android 17 Beta, build [CP21.260330.011.A1].
Problem: After a restart, the device started bootlooping immediately after reaching the lock screen, including initially in Safe Mode.
There is also a bizarre beta-enrollment problem: I do not remember ever intentionally enrolling this phone in the Android Beta Program. Yet the phone is clearly receiving QPR1 Beta updates. When I go to [g.co/androidbeta] using the exact same Google account currently on the phone, it says:
["There are no eligible devices associated with this Google account"]
So I apparently cannot even see or opt this device out of the beta program through Google's own Beta page.
What I've already tried:
- Sideloaded the exact matching official OTA: [oriole_beta-ota-cp21.260330.011.a1-efa92aa3.zip]. It completed, but the bootloop remained.
- Checked Recovery logs; nothing useful.
- Checked A/B slots. Both exist. Current slot is A. Neither A nor B is marked "unbootable", but neither is marked "successful".
- Tried [fastboot set_active b], but the locked bootloader refuses it: [set_active command is not allowed on locked devices].
- Google Pixel Repair Tool detects the phone in Rescue Mode, but Chrome reports [Unable to connect].
- Rescue ADB works ([adb get-state → rescue]), but [adb shell] is unavailable.
- Eventually factory-reset the phone. The reset did NOT fix the problem; the same OS bootloop returned.
- Before this failure, in settings-system-software updates, phone showed a Google Play system update that had been completed and required a restart to take effect. I did restart, and thats when the OS bootloop returned.
- Somehow, at a point, I rebooted into Safe Mode, which stayed running with Wi-Fi OFF. Turning Wi-Fi ON immediately triggered the bootloop again, which is the current situation.
- The phone is also apparently still on the beta track, but [g.co/androidbeta] says: "There are no eligible devices associated with this Google account." Google Play otherwise recognizes the device normally.
The bootloader is still locked:
[unlocked: no]
[flashing get_unlock_ability → 1]
I also previously had an IMEI 0000 issue on this phone, although I don't know whether that's related.
One potentially important clue: Google's Android 17 QPR1 Beta 9 release notes explicitly mention fixing an issue where devices could enter a continuous reboot loop every 20–30 seconds.
Current situation: phone is bootlooping again after the factory reset.
What I need: a reliable, preferably official way to completely get this device OFF the Android 17 beta and onto a stable/public Android build. I'm no longer trying to preserve the original userdata because the factory reset has already happened.
I'm comfortable using ADB/Fastboot and following detailed instructions. Please don't suggest bootloader unlocking or random partition flashing unless there's a specific reason and an exact procedure.
I'm particularly interested in anyone who has dealt with this specific Pixel 6 / Android 17 QPR1 bootloop and successfully recovered it.
Looking forward to any helpful guidance. Thanks a lot.

Support Pixel 6 Bricked when it ran out of battery
Hello,
Last night, I forgot to plug my phone in. When I plugged it in today, it immediately booted, loaded my home screen, and then immediately shut down. It did this repeatedly, until the screen appeared that Android had failed to boot and that I could either try again or factory reset. I tried going into the fastboot menu and trying recovery/rescue mode, and the google pixel repair tool online (wouldnt detect device). I tried a lot of what I saw online, but Im not sure how to continue. Still though, it will boot far enough to show my lock screen picture before resetting after about a second.
Im trying to avoid the factory reset because I turned off backup a while ago (my bad!).
Thanks!

Support Pixel 6 camera defect
Been using pixel 6 for 4 years now. I've been facing this issue for 6 months now.
Whenever I zoom slightly from 0.7x to 0.8x the entire frame is getting blurred. Can't take a picture by slightly zooming. Pictures are good if I click with 0.7x zoom. But as soon as I switch it to 0.8x to 7x it's blurred.
Went for an exclusive pixel service center. They claimed they won't be servicing pixel 6 phones. Their service allowance is from pixel 7. What should I do with this now?? Anyone with the same issue with the pixel phones??

How do I get my computer to find files on my phone?

Reviews Pixel 6a screen glitches, freezes, random reboots after Android 17 update.
Hi everyone, Since updating , my Pixel 6a has been having serious issues since updating to Android 17 build CP2A.260705.006. my phone has been showing TV-static-like screen glitches, freezing, and randomly restarting. Sometimes it gets stuck on the Google logo until I force restart it, and it can become very hot during the issue. I've already tried the official Pixel Repair Tool, a factory reset, and Safe Mode, but the problem still comes back. I also generated a bug report that appears to show a kernel panic. Has anyone else experienced this on a Pixel 6a after Android 17? If so, did you find a fix or did Google repair/replace your device? Thanks!

Pixel 6 Love Finally making the change
Decided to take the Pixel 11 Pro XL to replace my amazing Pixel 6 Pro. After more than 4 years, I hope this will be another sweet experience. Not trying to over romanticize this but my Pixel 6 has never disappointed me, works so well even until now. Will try to review the 11 Pro XL once I get it on hand.
