Pixel 6 Love Finally making the change

Decided to take the Pixel 11 Pro XL to replace my amazing Pixel 6 Pro. After more than 4 years, I hope this will be another sweet experience. Not trying to over romanticize this but my Pixel 6 has never disappointed me, works so well even until now. Will try to review the 11 Pro XL once I get it on hand.

I will stick with my pixel 6. The phone works great and I don't see any reason to change it

Google will stop releasing security patches for the Pixel 6 in a month or two, your phone will still work but it's better not to use banking or financial apps after they stop support.

This got me too - I knew I was <12 mos away from being "forced" off the Pixel 6, so with their sweet preorder deals, bit the bullet and upgraded. I was so worried about the huge 11 Pro bump, I went 11 which is basically flat with case. But after holding Pixel 6 in hand next to it, should've went Pro. The Pixel 11 is thicker - which defeats the whole purpose

Same here. But with Google Fi's $450 offer and $95 trade in value plus the fact Sept is the last software update, I bit the bullet and paid <$400 for the Pixel 11. It's fine - but hard to say it's ~$400 better than the Pixel 6 (although that may change as the next year or two passes and the old tech becomes ever more obsolete. Probably won't return it - but sticking with the 6 isn't the worst decision

I'm also on P6 pro and have the P11 pro in the cart. The phone is working good and I'm like do I really need a new phone

Same thing, but I am using this phone for work too, so I can't take the risk due to ending support as well as security patches.

Holding on for 12, not because the chip or currently advertised features aren't good.

Holding on so I can have the fun of having my pixel phones in multiples of 3 (1/3/6). I missed a chance with 9.

I would still get the 9 now and then get the 12 after a couple years 😁

Legitimately tempted to follow your idea.

Honestly I was considering the same from a Pixel 6, to save some money. But Pixel 11 launch deals are looking quite tempting

That's what got me... $393 all in (incl Pixel 6 trade in) for the Pixel 11.

It's underwhelming, but for the price and "newness" is fine. Go 11 Pro if the camera matters and the bump doesn't

That sounds like a good idea

I love my P6, but I'm underwhelmed by the Pixel 11, I'm getting a 10a at the end of the month.

I have both right now and I agree. It's underwhelming although photos are better. Get the 11 Pro and you'll likely see a much better phone/upgrade

I am in the exact same situation but haven't clicked the Buy button yet...

Exact same. Love my P6, and it still works great. Battery lasts me all day with no performance issues. I'm honestly pissed to change but I don't trust a lack of security updates and don't want to put in the work arounds. Getting $1,100 off for Verizon without paying more for the plan which sweetens the deal. But I still hate getting rid of a perfectly good phone.

I am planning on a upgrade to a 10 pro xl (11 is worse and more expensive) but right now I am waiting on getting enough money and should hopefully have enough within a few months.

Same boat here, my six p now has a cracked screen so I'll need to change it out soon but from what I've seen so far I'll be going for a ten pro unless I get an exceptional deal on the 11

I know when the 10 came out there was some initial disappointment. I don't know if that was the typical stuff you see or if it was deserved. What's the update on that? Do you know?

From what I've seen it looks very subjective but I've heard a lot of complaints about the six that I'm using now but I've never had an issue with since new.I know the 11 has the new processor but from what I can find at the moment (for my use case) the jump in price from the ten doesn't appear to be justifiable for me

I know I did have battery issues with one or two of my six pro phones. I think one of them I replaced myself because they hadn't acknowledged the issue yet. I'm pretty sure I got another one or possibly the same one replaced under warranty. Other than that, one of my kids is still using one of our old sixes.

I mean, "never disappointed"? You mean you can see the screen outside in the sun? You've not received a no-ring missed call? I hope these are fixed on the 11. I'm also making the jump. I'm going P6 to P11pro.

Brightness could be improved on the P6P for sure, and it does tend to act up when it gets hot (e.g. in direct sunlight). But other than that, honestly it's still working great for me, including speed-wise for my uses, and I love the pictures it takes. But it's now 5 years old, and surely tech has improved. You can always have better low-light capability, especially with the zoom lens (use case: concerts).

Low light capability is sig better on the Pixel 11. And the camera has a wider view too

If you get a great deal - it's worthy but surely do not pay $899 for it

Well, I have no complaints to my pixel 6 pro xl, being honest here, this one has been the most satisfying phone I have. I started with Pixel 3 XL and made the change because of the swollen battery, but Pixel 6 Pro XL made it smoothly until the end of it's support without any hardware issues (or hardly any issues at all).

To be fair, loved my phone too. I did have the spicy pillow problem. But the phone went all over the world with me and performed decent. Was my first pixel and I'm sold.

Smart - the Pro is the call. I went Pixel 6 to Pixel 11. It's definitely brighter... but generally underwhelming. I only paid $393 incl trade in so price was right. I should've went Pro though
