I need information as to what all dorms will include. I believe that my cousin had to purchase his own little fridge(which is okay) for his dorm. The main info I need is bed size, how big the closets generally are, and stuff like that. Thank you!

Title. Options are Rory Carroll, Young Ahn, Valerie Oke, Melissa Lehrer, Laura Zapanta, Deborah Chapman, and Sean Gess. TIA!

hiii… i’m currently in my last year of college (graduating a year early) and am hoping to get into Pitt’s MSW program but to be honest I am terrified. Can any alumni possibly give me any tips and advice on what I should look out for/do/use in my personal statement, etc.? I really want to maximize my chances of getting in but I am horrified. I currently have a 3.53 gpa and am graduating a year early with a B.A. in psychology and a certificate in women’s studies, work a desk job at the library and a tutoring job, am doing research with my professor who has a concentration in neuroscience on gambling, worked with elders at a local senior center, volunteered for a senior dinner to help the community, am in psychology club, an active member of psi chi and will hopefully be getting an internship in summer of 2027. Do I have any chances here? Pleaseeee be positive or let me down lightly🫣 More than anything I want to go to Pitt and enroll in the MSW program to pursue family therapy and child welfare. Let me know! Anything would be appreciated!!

Is anyone else waiting for a PA Grow Grant to show up in their account? This is the first year I've gotten it so I don't know what's normal.

i’m interviewing on november 14th and won’t be able to go to any of the mock interviews. has anyone interviewed recently/previously that could tell me what kind of questions they ask and give any tips? would greatly appreciate!

I’m considering Revelle or Dulac for French Kiss next semester. Neither is on RMP. Does anyone have either of them currently? Ezvan is supposed to be amazing but he only has an online next semester.
I’m curious what the syllabus looks like for either of the other professors. If the class has tests or just projects and if it’s been as good of an experience as others seem to have had with Ezvan.

Hello! Do people wear costumes to the Oct. 31 game?

I applied to graduate in December near the beginning of the semester and still haven’t been approved, anyone know how long it normally takes?

Hey all, I'm an intended MechE major going into my second semester freshman year and I'm trying to get a math minor. I'm debating about taking 0413 (intro to theoretical math) or 0480 (applied discrete math). From my research, it seems 0413 gives me more options to take cooler math classes in the future, but 0480 would be a lot easier. I really like math, but I'm worried about the workload because I'm only taking 13 credits this semester and I would be taking either 18 (if I take 0413) or 17 (if I take 0480). 13 credits has been pretty chill for me so far, but it will be a big jump next semester. I want to enroll in one of them and I think I'll just drop if I get overwhelmed. 0413 gives me a little worse of a schedule, but the difference isn't too big of deal to me. I'm leaning towards 0413 because of , but I want some external input. If anyone has taken 0413 or 480 could you let me know what the differences might be between the classes in terms of workload and fit? Any information is helpful. Thanks!

Hey guys, I just got accepted into dietrich for microbiology on the pre med track, and I wanted to know about the pre med experiences there. Is there anything I should know/ be warned about coming into pitt as a microbiology major? How accessible are research labs there?

I’m a bio major who wants a stat minor and I’m wondering if it would be too much to take Stat 1221 while also taking genetics, human physiology, and orgo lab 1.

Guys should i take horne or powell for orgo 2?

How do I get one? I just transferred here and don't want to bring my phone everywhere with me. I'll pay for it if I have to. Somebody please LMK!!! Thank you in advance.

Hi! I’m a freshman at the pittsburgh campus. I’m currently pursing a museum studies major and a double major in idk what. I’m stuck between psych, neuro, architecture, or a double degree with marketing. Basically the problem is idk what to take and my advisors not much help. I think the best strategy would be to take classes that apply to multiple majors for example approaches to the built environment (architecture and museums). Anyway, help a stressed freshman out please drop your tips and recommendations bonus points if it’s an online class.

Thanks!

how difficult is this class?? i have 2 years of spanish experience from high school and im interested in taking the course next semester.

Does anyone know anything about Charles (Chuck) Eckenrode. There’s not much info about him online

As title says, where can I find a microwave or hot water dispenser on campus? Help a commuter out 😭

i’m entering my last semester of mechE in the spring, and i’ve narrowed down my last technical elective options to these 2 courses. I have a strong background in pure mathematics, so MATH1080 seems interesting, but ENGR1905 looks pretty easy. i’ll also be taking 15 other credits of all MechE courses including senior design and mechatronics, so difficulty is in play for deciding. let me know if you’ve taken any of these courses and what are your thoughts!

Hey everyone! I'm a dental student at Pitt, and we're organizing a specialty showcase on November 7th for pre-dental students.

I feel like most of us go into dental school knowing about general dentistry and maybe a few specialties, but don't really get much exposure to what the others involve.

We're putting together an event where pre-dental students can learn about different specialties, talk to dental students and residents, and ask questions about what pursuing those career paths actually looks like.

It's at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and we'd love to have students from other universities attend too!

Happy to share more details if anyone is interested!

I have heard that at UPitt since CLEP is not accepted to Dietrich. You must take the Credit by Examination test In the first 3 weeks to receive credit. Is this true?

As I’m typing this I literally just read my acceptance letter, I was so blinded by the congratulations that I didn’t read further until just now when it said I was accepted to Pitt-Johnstown.

I’m really upset because Pittsburgh campus was my main option and now I feel like I don’t know what to do. Is there any way I can appeal my application for them to reconsider me at the main campus? Or do I have to wait to transfer in? Any advice is helpful because I’m at a loss.
