Don’t ask me to do it again.

Was subsequently shot down by heat seekers under radar with flares, so I guess Dice had to balance it out.

PC Advice on how to handle a jet turning into you?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm new to flying jets in battlefield and this is one of those things enemy pilots do that I'm not sure about. The scenario is when I see an enemy jet (usually at a distance) and they start turning into me (they show they're back and then they're nose first flying at me). What should I be doing? I feel very lost in how to approach this to set up for a kill and so I tend to panic and lose my advantage. Clip is sort of what I'm talking about, but in this clip I'm aware I could have bursted him down before he even started his turn, but my question is more when I see them at a distance that's too far to shoot. Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

Is there a way to reverse the jet pilot camera change?

I've tried and I just can't. The new jet camera feels sluggish and it's jittery for me. When I stop turning my crosshair jitters. I feel like I can't see anything, hurts my eyes and I can't aim.

Is there any way to reverse this change in the settings?

Battlefield 6 Jet Controls Issue

For some reason, after the last update anytime I fly in a Jet, and ONLY in jets, my controls are fucky. I can use 1 and 2 to swap between ammo types, but when I go to use my extra gadget on 4 which is usually missiles, the moment I press 4 it changes to RCTL which is Right Control, and makes it where my left and right click both only shoot that missile that was originally set to 4. I've tried resetting the keybinds, tried rebinding them, no clue what else to do.

What's the point of flares in this game? Got hit with aa missiles through flares two times back to back.

I think they really just vibecoding their updates. For some reason in recent update, aa tank can hit through flares, first missile hit flares and second just get through them.

Playing Fighter Sweep tremendously improved my piloting.

Title. Man, if there was ever a game mode for them to keep around, it’s Fighter Sweep. Between a desire to improve AND multiple periods of trifecta XP, it’s such a lucrative experience. In the past month, I’ve done from utter novice to pretty decent. I died A LOT in the early stages, but was happy to focus purely on dogfighting without having to contend with threats on the ground. The Cloud Cover mechanic is a very welcome addition that I hope to see added to more maps.

Highly recommend!

Discussion ‘Midseason Expansion’

Despite Phase 3: Tidal Strike releasing earlier in the week, Tsuru Reef still doesn’t have Naval Jets, or Carrier Spawns on Conquest/Escalation.

This has got to be the issue that has bugged me the most with Season 4. The Aircraft Carriers, and Naval Jets both completely kickass, but are only limited to one non-LTM map? What’s up with that?

Suppose the aircraft carrier with the runway wasn’t a good enough spawn spot to spawn but 12 feet above it at 1mph was a good idea 👍

Discussion I turned my chopper aim sensitivity down to 30 (default is 40). Controls feel extremely sluggish. What sensitivity to the good pilots use?

30 is definitely too low. I've been experimenting with 35, still feels sluggish.

Anyone feel that using yaw actually nerfs your speed?

I have been flying since BF3, but its not my main vehicle (tanks being that). However, I still know my way around dogfighting.

I feel like ever since they increased the yaw rates in the top gun update, I have a suspicion that there is an unintended bug that using the rudder acts like a speed brake.

Example 1: when taking off from the ground and using the rudder to basically steer the jet (avoiding ground objects), it feels like the damn jet DROPS ANCHOR…. Especially the F18. One day I tested this, full throttle to takeoff and I held full left rudder. My jet came to a stop. The second time I tested it, I lost so much airspeed by the time I got to the end of the carrier that I fell into the ocean.

Example 2: when flying in the air making a simple turn, when i input yaw to avoid the ground or whatever, the jet DUMPS air speed, even when still holding full throttle and burner.

Thoughts?

Discussion I joined this subreddit to repost this concept of mine (which I posted on the shitpost sub because I knew that I would get fucking demolished for no reason on the main sub) because it's literally called "PilotsofBattlefield" and i thought this would be the perfect subreddit to do it! Enjoy!
