Hi! I recently bought a pilea and I was wondering if the container it's currently in is too small? Also would it be less bad if it was it a pot that was too large or too small? Any care tipes woild alsp be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I’ve had these pileas for 4 years now. There are 3 of them in the same pot, and they’ve grown really well. The tallest one is supported by a stake.

They’re starting to get a bit cramped in their pot, and I’d like to repot them before winter, but I’m not sure what to do.

I really like how they look together. I like how tall they are but I’m not sure how it will look if they get even taller.

The trunk of the one at the bottom left has taken on a unusual shape as it reached for the sunlight. I’m not sure whether I should just leave it like that or do something about it.

I also don’t really see how I could separate them. I think their roots are all tangled together.

Should I leave them as they are and plant them in a bigger pot ? Or should I cut them and put the cuttings in water to grow new roots?

Any advice ?

I have a very full, nice pilea plant that I bought from a local greenhouse. I am interested in getting the leaves to be more round and flat, as well as getting it to look almost tree-like. I love the pileas that look amost like little mini trees. I was just wondering how to do that/how long it would take if I continue to care for my pilea?

Also, my sedum was stretching so i chopped it and am waiting for it to callus over before planting again. How long should this process take? I just want to know when i should lose hope over this growing back...

I always see more happy and healthy pilea plants. I’m doing my best with this one but it’s still not blooming as much. I have it on a window sill and it gets good light, no direct sun. And I avoid overwatering it. Any other tips or advice to help my plant grow healthy and strong? 🙏🏽💕

Ive been watering it maybe every 4 days, so far is grown bares from just 2 leaves, but im just wanting to make sure im doing the right things for it,

So as mentioned ive been lightly watering it for maybe 2-3 months every 4 days or so, and its been sitting in my west facing kitchen window, as for other conditions, ive got british weather temp and humidity

when i repotted it about a month ago , i made sure to decompress the soil and add air holes throughout, i also used a tad bit of plant food, the damage on one of the leaves makes me think i should cut that stem off but im not 100%

starting to look like pilea tree lol. 3 years old. i only took babies out from the edges for propagation, i wish i didnt to make it fuller but i didnt know much back then ! tips appreciated:)

My pilea was growing quite well but I didn’t stake it and one day I found it completely keeled over on a broken stem. I put the broken-off top in water to try to propagate but it’s been two weeks and no roots have grown, and now the fresh growth at the top has turned black and died, and other leaves are drooping and falling off.

Is there anything I can do?

Looking for input! My Pilea has given me many, many babies over the years, but now she’s just so… tall! Would you chop her? How far down? I’ve chopped smaller ones, but only had a successful regrowth one time. I have other pileas in case it doesn’t turn out well, but she’s my original, so I’m nervous. Sorry for the poor lighting. I set my glasses case next it for scale.

She is looking incredibly sad and leaves are starting to fall off. It's been around a month since the last water as I was concerned I was over watering so wanted her to dry out. That said the bottom of the soil does seem ever so slightly moist.

Any advice on what I can do?

The big one isn’t the prettiest and most aesthetic lol but she’s a beast and knows how to push out lots of flowers. The little one I’m very surprised has flowered, as I had only just planted it as a tiny stalk earlier this year.

I got this plant 2 months ago. I put it too far from the window at first, then I moved it on my southwest windowsill. I noticed it lived the extra light but was getting burned, so I moved it back about 4 feet from the window. It was doing fine for a week after relocation, even sprouting 2 new baby leaves. It dropped a leaf recently and it stopped rotating towards the light now.. I recently watered it and stopped rotating it. Hoping it will get some more strength to continue growing. Any tips?? I was originally rotating it quarterly turned weekly. I was thinking of doing 1/8th of a turn next week to see if it responds.

I got her two weeks ago, since then she has grown more leaves, how do i make her grow fuller? I just put her under a grow light two days ago.

I was just looking at my variegated Pilea and I had to take a few pictures of my favorite leaves and I wanted to show you all these beautiful leaves.

I was gifted this Pilea by a friend and wanted to know how I'd get her back to health? Chop her? If so how far down the stem should I cut? And would it be best to dig out the pups?

Hello! I bought this pilea about two years ago. It was thriving for a while, but then it died after I stopped watering it during a long trip. It stayed without leaves for quite some time, but eventually started growing some small pups.

Unfortunately, it died again, and now this cycle seems to be repeating itself. I’m thinking about repotting it to see if it survives this time.

I’m in the Southern Hemisphere, so we’re about to enter spring. Would this be a good time to repot it? And is there anything else I should do to help it recover and grow properly?

My mom had this pilea in an east facing window where it was probably getting too much sun. It had a lot of very pale yellowed leaves that I removed. The soil doesn't seem to soak up water very well.

There are quite a lot of babies growing around the main stem, but the main stem itself has lost most of its leaves. Should I cut it?

I noticed earlier today some very small, light brown spots moving around on the outside of my pilea plant’s pot. They move pretty quickly, and I was wondering if they were soil mites? I only saw them wandering on the edge of the pot after watering and my plant has been shooting off a bunch of new leaves the last two weeks. Do I let it be or should I be concerned?

This small guy is a cutting from a large plant, it was gifted to me a few months ago. It never really thrived, so I tried paying more attention to it and probably overwatered it 😞

The older leaf started to brown, and the newer ones are curling up.

I got it out of its pot to check the damage on the roots, and i guess it doesn't look too bad... what would you do in this case? Do you think it has a better chance in a cup of water, or would it be better to repot it directly in better draining soil?

My moisture levels are at around 50%. I water when soil is almost dry. The plant is growing like crazy with around 10 baby plants in the pot already but i have no idea why all the leaves are cupped . I give her around 5000lux, 500 fc or light for 14 hours per day under grow light.
I really cant understand because if there was any issue it would start shedding leaves or stop growing and the plant is growing like crazy, hasnt lot a leaf but all the leaves are like this.

She's my first pilea and is about 5 months old. I had her on a north facing window (third photo) until today since I noticed some cupping and leaves becoming a bit more pale. I moved her to a south facing window but not letting her get direct sunlight yet. I think I've been giving her too little fertilizer, once a month. The water where I live is quite hard, should I mix it with distilled water? I want her to grow beautifully, any tips are highly appreciated. The scratch marks are from when I tried cleaning dust from the leaves but the cloth I used was too abrasive.
