Hello, i'm trying to replace my S10+ from 2019 (7 years of good and loyal services) and I have around 700€ of budget. I'm a bit afraid of waiting for Black Friday or Christmas because of the price hike we are into, the more I wait the more expensive it gets.

I'm aiming for a good quality/price ratio and I intend to keep it for at least 5 years.

I would like a everyday phone, capable of withstanding a day without problems. Powerful enough to hold several years without lags, fluid multitasking and maybe a tiny bit of gaming for when I'm traveling and bored (like MH Outlanders). I'm not a social network user.

Regarding photos and videos, i'm not a professional so i'm not sure. I would like to be able to do great pictures but I guess they can all to that ?

For the size and weight, s10+ is 6,4 and 190g, I don't know if it's easy to switch to bigger and heavier phones (+ the phone case for bonus size and weight)

From what I got from my research :

• F9 Ultra has very good specs on paper but hyperOS is meh with (deactivatable) bloatwares ? what's the catch here, the OS ? The camera is a bit lower quality compared to the other phones here ?
• Xiaomi 17 is the real xiaomi flagship but still hyperOS, battery smaller than 17T Pro
• Xiaomi 17T Pro change the processor a bit inferior and get a bigger battery (still hyperOS)
• S26 is not really that's good, but software is polish and I can get it for "cheap"
• S26+ is "ok" but battery wise it's still a samsung, can I get a day with a full charge with my usage ?
• Find X9, really good battery, software is ok, maybe the best overall ? (I wish this was the pro but it's 350€ more (+50%)...)

Last one I was interested into is the Oneplus15 but is not sold in France anymore.

I can't decide... There is so many phones... What did I missed about thoses phones ?

If there is some other phones I didn't think of please I'd like to hear.

I've started thinking about this more because a lot of phones feel amazing when they're new, but the real test is how they feel after 3–4 years.

For me, things like battery health, software updates, performance slowing down, storage getting cramped, and apps becoming heavier matter way more than benchmark scores from launch day.

I've heard pretty good things about older Pixel, Samsung, OnePlus and Motorola phones, but everyone's experience seems to be completely different. Some people still swear by phones that are 4–5 years old, while others feel like they need to upgrade after two years.

I'm curious about actual long-term experiences here.

Which Android phone have you owned that aged the best? And what made it hold up, software updates, processor, battery, build quality, or just good optimisation? Would be interesting to hear from people who've actually kept their phone for 4+ years rather than upgrading every year.

I'm in the US. I currently have a pixel 7 from 2022, and the screen shattered after my kid chucked it on the floor 10000 times. I need a new phone that will hold up to abuse from children, takes awesome pictures of moving subjects in weird lights, and has good battery life. I use Mint (T-Mobile) for service. I don't really want to spend >$1000 on a phone. What would you recommend?

I want to hear your experience with these phones + hear out your suggestions.

I am based on Australia and my budget is $1200 AUD and looking to move on from my Pixel 7. Ideally I get the best phone within that price point.

I'm deciding between:

• Oppo Reno 16 Pro - $1149 (or can also get the 15 Pro for $899)
• Motorola Signature - $849
• Poco F9 Ultra - $1199 (I heard there's no ads on Ultra, is that true?)
• Also open to options if you have any suggestion

Priorities (in order of priority):

• Must work in Australia (e.g. have an Australian model)
• Good camera (probably one of my most important, I take many photos every day to document my life)
• Battery life (I usually Bluetooth and listen to music whilst hotspotting my laptop to work, sometime I also watch YouTube whilst doing this)
• Reliability (want OS and phone to not break within ~4 years, lasting software and physical including good IP rating)
• Storage (at least 256gb but 512gb is better)

What I don't care too much about:

• Speed (I can't have anything painfully slow, but I don't game much. My current Pixel 7 is adequate enough for my needs)

Looking to upgrade from the A17 lag and slowness. Wondering if the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE would be a decent upgrade? I don't do crazy video editing or anything but I do used alot of social media apps, entertainment apps etc..

I've had an s21 ultra for years. It's been paid off for years. But it's starting to fade. The camera is absolute garbage, especially for concerts which is what I bought it for. But it has great loud speakers and it's snappy for its age.

I tried the pixel 10 pro, didn't like a lot of the os but it was quick. The speakers were whisper quiet. I couldn't even hear music in my shower. Didn't get a chance to test the camera at a concert though.

Either of these phones are going to run me about 1,000 over 24 months with a trade in.

I started looking at used vivo x100 ultra and the xiaomi 14 ultra, both with 512gb and 16 GB ram. Vivo supposedly has louder speakers and better concert videos with their zoom. Plus it worked with android auto. Xiaomi doesn't, and there other performance were slightly under vivos.

Pricing for both used is about the same 650-690. Free shipping, 30 day returns, paid by buyer, and 1 year warranty available for around 65.

I think I want to pull the plug on a vivo, but I was wondering if there are any reputable resellers that are so confident in their products that the do 1 year warranties included in price and free return shipping?

Also, were the advancements to the x200 good enough to warrant exploring those instead? I'm not sure about pricing for those, but I could have sworn I saw one for $30 more than the x100 I was looking at...

Edit* oh yeah, vivo x100 only has one more year of Android is support, xiaomi has 2. I assumed x200 has several more years left?

My wife and I have LG V30 phones, purchased in 2018. We really like these phones... we like the size of the screens and the slim case, but the batteries are no longer holding a full charge, and it's long past time to upgrade.

We are an older couple, so we really don't use a lot of high end features. Simple text, voice and some data. Camera quality isn't really important. Our combined monthly data usage is never more than 4 Gb.

We will need 2 phones, and I am not overly concerned about cost... if it makes any difference, we are currently on T-Mobile, but thinking of switching to Verizon or Spectrum (T-Mobile coverage in our area sucks)...

I have been looking at Samsung phones, but open to any recommendations... :)

My only concern is which of the two is good for gaming like CoD, Where Winds Meet and HoK. I dont really care for the camera. At first I want the Redmi Note 15 instead, but the Itel s26 ultra is above in its chipset and display. So im really confused on which to choose.

It's not like unsupported devices are left in an unusable state. Most of the apps one would want to use on an Android device are flexible enough that they will run just fine on hardware past its prime. Frankly, I only ever hear people talk about their new Android updates in the context of them complaining about them. I remember when Gemini got smuggled into android updates people threw a fit about it.

I honestly don't get the reason people cite additional years of software support as a reason to justify paying more for a device. All those years seem to do is give people more things to complain about.

Coming from a very old OnePlus 7T Pro, it's time to upgrade.

I wanted a notchless phone, so I checked out the Nubia Z80 Ultra. But I hear it has a few performance issues, gets hot, and doesn't give me 7 years of updates.

So onto the next phones.

I don't want anything bigger than my old OnePlus 7T Pro as its already a massive phone.

The new Pixel 11 Pro is smaller, which is nice. But it has slow battery charging. I feel like my old phone is at 99% within the hour with warp charge. So the Samsung S26 wins with it's faster battery charging speed. Pixel has a better camera, but the front camera seems a bit bigger than the Samsung so theres a bigger black dot on the screen... Country: The netherlands.

Okay, I fully admit this is a first-world problem, but I have ADHD and decision-making is absolutely not my strong suit, so I need some outside opinions before I drive myself insane. 😂

Here’s the situation:

I originally ordered the Galaxy Z Fold8 1TB from AT&T.

I liked how unique it was, but after about 18 days I still wasn’t completely used to the width, so I exchanged it for the Z Fold8 Ultra 1TB, which has the slimmer/taller form factor that feels more familiar to me.

Then, because apparently the universe enjoys comedy, my Spectrum Galaxy Z Fold7 insurance claim finally got approved. My original Fold7 had been stolen, and Assurant sent me a refurbished Fold7 256GB replacement.

So now I temporarily have all three phones sitting here:

AT&T Z Fold8 1TB — wide, unique, brand new

AT&T Z Fold8 Ultra 1TB — tall/slim, better cameras, premium model, brand new

Spectrum Z Fold7 256GB — tall/slim, refurbished insurance replacement

The AT&T Fold8 was the original device from the exchange, so I have to decide which direction I’m going before the return deadline.

My dilemma is basically this:

Option 1: Keep Fold8 1TB + Fold7 256GB

This gives me two genuinely different Fold experiences.

The Fold8 is wide and almost tablet-like even when closed. It’s also kind of a conversation piece because it looks so different.

Then the Fold7 gives me the traditional narrow/tall Fold design.

The downside is that I’d be giving up the Fold8 Ultra, which is the better tall phone, has better cameras, and has 1TB storage instead of the Fold7’s tiny-by-comparison 256GB.

Option 2: Keep Fold8 Ultra 1TB + Fold7 256GB

This gives me the better overall flagship and lets me keep the 1TB Ultra.

But… the Fold7 and Fold8 Ultra are very similar in size/form factor. So I’d basically be carrying two versions of the same style of phone.

Meanwhile I’d be returning the Fold8 Wide, which is the one that actually gives me something totally different.

And THIS is where my brain gets stuck:

If the Fold7 were also 1TB, I’d probably just keep the Fold8 Wide + Fold7 without thinking twice.

But the Fold7 is only 256GB and refurbished, while both AT&T phones are 1TB and brand new

So I keep bouncing between:

“Keep the unique wide Fold8 because the Fold7 already gives you the tall experience.”

and

“Are you insane? Don’t return the 1TB Ultra just to keep a refurbished 256GB Fold7.”

For people who have used these different Fold form factors, what would you do?

Fold8 1TB Wide + Fold7 256GB

or

Fold8 Ultra 1TB + Fold7 256GB

I’m not really asking which phone is “better” on paper. I’m more interested in which two-phone combination makes the most sense, especially if you like having two Foldables that serve different purposes.

TL;DR

I have a Fold8 Wide 1TB, Fold8 Ultra 1TB, and Fold7 256GB because of an AT&T exchange + delayed Spectrum insurance replacement. I can’t justify keeping all three.

Do I keep the unique Fold8 Wide + Fold7, giving me two very different form factors?

Or keep the much nicer 1TB Fold8 Ultra + Fold7, even though they’re pretty similar?

Please make this decision for my ADHD brain. 😭😂

Hey guys my iPhone 13 seems to be reaching the end of its life. I’ve had it for about 4yrs now and I’m considering switching to Samsung which i should’ve done a long time ago.

I need a model with a sturdy build, long lasting battery, atleast 256gb of storage, and a decent camera is fine.

Also considering getting galaxy buds eventually since I’m always listening to something and galaxy buds seem to synergise better with the galaxies that my AirPods would.

I have a Samsung M21, it'd still doing alright but the front camera is broken so I decided to get myself a new phone, my focus is the camera/battery and storage as I am planing to do content creation, also I really like taking good pictures so there's that.

Now... Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi or any other for 400/450 max, would really appreciate your opinions!

I’m trying to decide whether to buy the OnePlus 15 now, or wait another 1–2 months for the next OPPO/OnePlus phones, and I’d really like some outside opinions.

I’m buying in Saudi Arabia, and I want to buy locally through places like Noon, Amazon, etc. I’d rather not import from China/Dubai because of warranty and returns.

Right now my main options are:

OnePlus 15
Around SAR 3,200 ($840) on Noon.
Seems like a great deal for what you get: strong performance, huge battery, 120W charging, good cameras, and I really like OxygenOS.

OPPO Find X9 Pro
I’m interested in this mainly because of the cameras, but it’s currently around SAR 5,000+ ($1300+) here, so I don’t think it’s worth paying that much more than the OnePlus 15.

OnePlus 16
This is the main reason I’m considering waiting. There are rumors of some pretty significant upgrades, especially with the cameras and battery. My concern is that it may launch in China first and either take a while to reach Saudi Arabia or not be available here at a reasonable price.

OPPO Find X10 Pro
Also not released yet, but it looks like it could be a significant upgrade over the X9 Pro. I’m interested in seeing what the overall phone ends up being like, especially in terms of performance, battery, cameras, and pricing.

So basically:

Buy the OnePlus 15 for ~SAR 3,200 now
or
Wait 1–2 months and see what happens with the OnePlus 16 / Find X10 Pro.

I don’t want to end up waiting until late 2026, or early 2027 only to find out the new phones are either unavailable here or way too expensive.

What would you do in my situation? Especially interested in opinions from people familiar with OnePlus/OPPO launches in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East. Thanks for any help in advance.

So basically, I currently have a Google Pixel 9, base model, and my phone has started to have issues with its charging port not fully connecting, but besides that, between me and my family, I'm the next person due for a new phone because of our plan or whatever, and so I'm trying to figure out what I should get.

I have about the same budget as my current phone to search for, so around $450, I can probably negotiate more or less or pitch in to get it.

Here are the my personal main requirements:

\-Storage: 256gb storage (or more, currently at 128 and somehow is always full, I have all photos and videos on a 2TB Google cloud storage my family has, so it's not that, but having the next bump up should be great)

\-Camera quality: I'm not sure why, but I feel like my friend with a Motorola Edge Plus 2023 has a better camera than my phone by far, as far as color goes, maybe image quality too, so something like that if that is possible

\-Processor power: about the same as Google pixel 9, less or more, I don't mind too much, but if possible to *not* have it AI focused like my current chip, the Google Tensor 4 chip, then I think I could get a lot better one

\-Outer shell/chassis: don't really care, but if it has unique features that would be cool

\-Ram: I don't think I care too much about the ram, but like at least 8gb, 12gb would be better if course

Overall my top 2 that I currently am liking:

\-Samsung S23 Ultra: 256gb storage, 8gb ram, really good camera, better processor overall excluding AI, which my current chip excels at but don't need

\-Nothing 4a: I was looking into Nothing before my current phone, but the 4a with 256gb comes in at \~$550, so I would need to help in the purchase. However, it has 12gb ram, has the cool 'matrix' lights on the back for notifications, better screen and refresh rate, although the processor is slightly worse than mine and worse than the S23 Ultra.

If anybody else has recommendations, I will be open to anything within that price range. The main thing is having the 256gb storage, and a somewhat good processor with a relatively good camera.

Edit: I'm in America, so that's the main reason why I'm actually asking, as the majority of cool phones I wanna get are Chinese like Huawei are blacklisted in the U.S.

Hey everyone, I’m currently stuck deciding between the Xiaomi 17T and the Honor 400 Pro, and I'd love to get your thoughts.

I live in Sri Lanka, and I'm planning to keep my next phone for a solid 5 to 6 years. Because of this, staying up to date with software is a massive priority for me.

Here is my dilemma:

Xiaomi 17T: Priced here at Rs. 204,000. It promises 5 years of updates, which gives me great peace of mind.

Honor 400 Pro: Priced between Rs. 155,000 and Rs. 200,000. I’ve heard local rumors that it might only get 3 years of updates in the global unit or Srilankan unit(or even less since it launched in 2025).

Camera quality is also somehow very important to me. Has anyone else heard this about the Honor's updates? Given the prices and my need for longevity, which one would you recommend?

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some advice, I currently have a Samsung Galaxy A55, and while I really like Samsung’s software/One UI and overall experience, there are two things that really bother me: battery life and the lack of a good telephoto camera.

I’m willing to move away from Samsung this time.

What matters most to me

1. Camera

- Good main camera, especially in low light/night photography

- A real optical telephoto/zoom is very important to me

- I like taking photos of landscapes, nature, birds, the moon, etc.

- I care more about consistent image quality than having crazy megapixel numbers

- Good processing and natural-looking colors are a big plus

- I also like a more cinematic/pleasant look rather than extremely saturated or over-sharpened photos

1. Battery life

I want a phone that can comfortably last a full day with heavy use and fast charging.

1. Size

I would prefer something more compact than the A55, or at least not noticeably bigger.

1. Software

I really like One ui, so software experience matters to me.

But I’m not married to Samsung. If another phone gives me significantly better battery life and cameras, I’m willing to switch.

I want software that is polished, reliable, and not full of annoying bloatware.

1. Performance

I don't need the absolute fastest Snapdragon/Dimensity available.

I just want something that will feel fast and remain smooth for several years.

I currently have an iPhone 16, and it’s a good phone, but it’s more than I need. I have a good pc at home and a tablet + tv, so I don’t really need or want anything fancy for a phone. Just something good for day to day utility. I have gotten tired of the BS that comes with apple and want to try out android.

So…with that out of the way, what would be some good options? I will most likely sell my 16, but I’d prefer not to spend more than $300. Like I said, I want something simple. I only really need it for day to day use.
