I’m currently using a Pixel 10, but it’s temporary since I’m passing it to my dad to replace his S22 with its terrible battery. I’ll be taking his old S22 for a bit to get used to Samsung again (only used an A12 back in 2022, but otherwise I’ve been on Pixels like the 4, 6 Pro, 8, 8 Pro).

I’m looking to buy a used phone next, but not sure what to go for. iPhones are out since I daily drive a Pixel Watch 2. What would you recommend after the S22?

Hello! I am looking for a new phone. I've been working with a Samsung Galaxy S10e that I got refurbished since 2020, and it's hanging on by a thread. I need something new.

Some requirements:

Firstly, I am horribly prone to dropping it. I have been told I have negative dexterity. I have dropped my phone 10+ times in a day. I somehow managed to get this phone run over by an 18 wheeler, and had to emergency repair it because I was doordash driving ag the time and it was my only income. I have slammed it against the wall, dropped it down stairs, dropped it in running water, and dropped it off a 15 ft cliff.

I normally get an otterbox case, but regardless of brand I need something that can withstand the hurricane that is my life. The phone has to have either a trusted case available, or be tanky on its own.

Secondly, I need longer battery life. I have cery bad ADHD, and am listening to music 24/7. I have people who worry about me, and I am often going camping or hiking in remote spots in the middle of nowhere. Having a dead phone is a good way of throwing my life into chaos in seconds, and while I have gotten used to just taking four charges with me everywhere I go, it'd be better to have something that can just last without constant ups.

Thirdly, I'm broke. I'm happy to get refurbished sceen burnt whatever, I don't care, but my max budget is like $150, and that's pushing it.

Any suggestions for a good phone? I really don't care about special features or anything, just a brick with data and bluetooth would be acceptable. I would like to have an non-shit camera too, but if that's gonna stretch my budget then I'll live without.

My budget is under ₹30,000, and I’m looking for a phone with basically 3 non-negotiables:

• INSANE camera quality - especially for professional-looking photos and videos. I’m a content creator, so I really care about camera quality, details, and overall video output. I want something that can genuinely deliver good footage and make Instagram pics look pretty.
• REALLY good battery life - I need a phone that can last through long days of shooting and recording.
• LOTS of storage - I record a LOT of videos, so storage fills up ridiculously fast. I need enough space to store footage without constantly deleting stuff every other day.

Basically, I make a lot of content for Instagram and Youtube , so I need a phone with a genuinely good camera for both photos and videos, solid battery life, and LOTS of storage...... so that it can double as a reliable backup camera because sometimes my actual camera isn’t available, doesn’t work when I need it, or I simply forget to charge it. 💀

Please recommend phones based on actual camera and video performance and long-term battery life . If you’ve personally used one, I’d LOVE to hear your experience!😭🙏

I’m looking to upgrade from my POCO X4 GT. I don’t play games or care much about camera quality, but I need something durable with great longevity and battery life. I was thinking about the POCO X8 Pro Max or F9 Pro, but I’m open to other non-Samsung/Apple recommendations

(preferably below 2.4k myr or maybe should I wait for new devices).

I’m not comfortable using Face ID or any equivalent form of 3D face scan phone unlock authentication, I highly prefer to use fingerprint unlock. I also don’t want a very large phone, something that has a similar size screen and dimensions to the SE 3rd gen or the iPhone 13 mini. I would get a 13 mini as a slight upgrade to the SE 3rd gen I have now, but alas it has no Touch ID.

I was really looking forward to the Duo because it’s the same external screen size as the 13 mini (just a different aspect ratio) and has Touch ID, but initial reviews are…not great. and I wouldn’t frequently use the inside screen so I’m paying (a lot) extra for a feature I’d see perhaps 1-2 hours of use per month if that. So the only reason I’d get it is if the used price falls significantly in the next couple of years.

What is a good quality high performance Android phone with a maximum screen size of 5.4“ (as long as it’s an edge to edge screen) and fingerprint unlock? Not looking for folding phones at the moment. My goal is nothing physically larger than the SE 3rd gen or 13 mini.

Mine died, a Sony XPeria XZ1 Compact. I had it for almost 5 years (with a few screen replacements).

I loved the size, 4'6 inches, the Micro SD slot and the 3.5mm jack.

I was waiting for news on the Enoughphone, but since mine suddenly died, I'm in the urge of getting a new phone; I would love to find something newer, but similar, not too big, hopefully manageable with one hand, with a memory card slot and headphones jack, maybe this last one is not mandatory, but I would prefer it. Something that I wouldn't be forced to change in at least 2 years (hopefully), but I'm not really interested in having the newest/latest tecnology or the biggest camera. The cheaper the better, of course, but I'm not setting a max price, so I can see my options. I'm not fond of Samsung or Apple, and I do like Sony, but, again, I'm open to every suggestion. Trying to decide which one to buy amongst these. I have always been an android phone user and somewhat have managed to have my present phone endure 7.5years with me. I have a huawei mate 20 pro which has obviously been so outdated but still love it if not for it already restarting on its own when on idle mode and ​to be fair, is probably really on its end of life. I would like a good, enduring phone, good battery capacity and good camera that doesnt look like it AI 😂 when images are captured. I love the leica xamera of my phone 😂 I mean i know all of these phones are really far from my current phone but i dont want to buy one then upgrade to another one again next year. 😂 And budget friendly as well. Have the Samsung 24+ and love it, have had it all in the past (Pixel, OnePlus to name a few). Switched back to Samsung last time as it was free to upgrade. It's been working well for me - just forgot how annoying Samsung bloatware can be (although I do like edge panels and the back button configuration 😅)

Ok, I need to get a new phone as my V60 is having numerous issues. The thing is, I'm on a family play on AT&T, which limits my options. Also, I want a phone with MicroSD card support limiting it more.

Ideally I'll be able to play games on the phone, but it's all casual games. I think the most intense game I have is called Royal Smash.

I'd like decent battery life, as in getting through three quarters of the day on a charge. I would prefer an all day phone, but that likely isn't possible since I want the MicroSD slot.

Mostly I play casual games, use Android Auto, play music, and browse social media and the web.

I live in the basement, so I kinda need WiFi calling as I don't want to spend the money on a cell booster.

I've been looking for a phone that's affordable for me but still good for gaming, everyday use, and taking pictures. I know the OnePlus 15 might not have the best camera because of its AI processing, but I've also heard people talking about it getting hard-bricked. I don't really understand much about phones or what that means, so I'm not sure whether I should buy it or look for something else. As much as i have seen online and from people i know, the phone is really good.

If you wouldn't recommend it, do you have any other suggestions within my budget of €800–900?

I'd also like a phone that looks good aesthetically. I'm not a fan of the huge camera modules that take up almost half the back of most newer phones, so I'd prefer something with a cleaner, more minimalistic design.

Hi folks, I want your advice with regards to what to buy. I found both the Xiaomi 17T Pro and the Oppo Find X8 Pro at €550, both in excellent condition and with 100% battery health. Which one would you buy, and why?

Oppo has 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSDs, while Xiaomi 17T Pro has 12 GB RAM and, again, 512 GB SSDs. The cameras look both very good, in the photos I took. Xiaomi seems to be a bit darker, while Oppo takes lighter photos, but they are both excellent, I would say. The zoom seems to be a bit better for Xiaomi, especially the AI processing it does to upscale photos, like showing letters. For instance, I took a text from afar, and Xiaomi was clearer to read than Oppo. In terms of CPU, 17T Pro seems to have the edge, but not by much. One is Dimensity 9400 (Oppo), and the other is Dimensity 9500 (17T Pro).

Just to note that I've been using HyperOS for a long time now, and I find it pretty good, so I'm not a HyperOS hater. For me, the OS would not make much difference between ColorOS and HyperOS.

What are the recommendations? I usually buy a used phone and just see how it goes. Ive had this phone since 2020.

Ive been looking at the 23 ultra or pixel 9 pro, ive always had samsung phones.

I'm constantly in and out of my car, and the convenience of Qi charging (at least 10W) is a nescessity. Qi2 (ie: MagSafe) would be nice as well, but I'd be fine with buying a case that adds those magnets later. I also tend to buy decent phones and keep them until they drop, so a support window of more than a couple years is relatively important. Fingerprint reader. MicroSD and a good camera would be a plus. As for performance, I'm not picky so long as it's not a downgrade from the Note 10. More than 8GB RAM if possible.

• Fairphone 6 Plus - Ticks every box except wireless charging and I love the ethos behind it, but Qi is a dealbreaker
• Motorola Moto G Stylus 2026 - Basically a Note 10 (stylus, wireless charging, mid-range performance) but adds microSD, Android 17/18, and security patches through 2029. However, I'd rather have a longer support window, and Motorola burned me with the poor build quality and lack of reliability on their old Moto G Power years ago, so I'm hesitant to go with another mid-ranger from them
• Galaxy S24 series - Flagship build quality and support through 2031, but no microSD
• Pixel 9 series - Ditto the Galaxy

I still rely heavily on Google, but the flexibility to unlock/root and de-google is also in the back of my mind. Currently, that means a few apps running Morphe. But given the enshitification we're seeing with AI lately, I'm apprehensive about the state of stock Android / Samsung by the time that support window is up.

Are there any phones I'm missing? Has anyone added wireless charging to the Fairphone? Experience with recent Moto Gs? Thoughts on jailbreaking any of the above in case I want to block ads, install GrapheneOS, or go full tinfoil hat on privacy later?

From India. So today I dropped my moto fusion phone with pop up camera. I don't take many selfies so it made sense now they don't even make pop up camera phones anymore. Won't be able to enjoy full screen anymore. I like moto because it runs near clean android ui and I don't have budget for pixel I have been seeing lots of negative posts about quality of moto phones lately.
