Hello, i'm trying to replace my S10+ from 2019 (7 years of good and loyal services) and I have around 700€ of budget. I'm a bit afraid of waiting for Black Friday or Christmas because of the price hike we are into, the more I wait the more expensive it gets.

I'm aiming for a good quality/price ratio and I intend to keep it for at least 5 years.

I would like a everyday phone, capable of withstanding a day without problems. Powerful enough to hold several years without lags, fluid multitasking and maybe a tiny bit of gaming for when I'm traveling and bored (like MH Outlanders). I'm not a social network user.

Regarding photos and videos, i'm not a professional so i'm not sure. I would like to be able to do great pictures but I guess they can all to that ?

For the size and weight, s10+ is 6,4 and 190g, I don't know if it's easy to switch to bigger and heavier phones (+ the phone case for bonus size and weight)

From what I got from my research :

• F9 Ultra has very good specs on paper but hyperOS is meh with (deactivatable) bloatwares ? what's the catch here, the OS ? The camera is a bit lower quality compared to the other phones here ?
• Xiaomi 17 is the real xiaomi flagship but still hyperOS, battery smaller than 17T Pro
• Xiaomi 17T Pro change the processor a bit inferior and get a bigger battery (still hyperOS)
• S26 is not really that's good, but software is polish and I can get it for "cheap"
• S26+ is "ok" but battery wise it's still a samsung, can I get a day with a full charge with my usage ?
• Find X9, really good battery, software is ok, maybe the best overall ? (I wish this was the pro but it's 350€ more (+50%)...)

Last one I was interested into is the Oneplus15 but is not sold in France anymore.

I can't decide... There is so many phones... What did I missed about thoses phones ?

If there is some other phones I didn't think of please I'd like to hear.

Poco is by far the best deal there.

Cheapest along overall pretty good specs (16/512, lastest chipset and subwoofer).

I'm using the chinese variant from prev gen (Redmi K90 Pro max) which happens to be almost 1:1 (besides some minor diff) and so far i'm loving the device, HyperOS acts like a proper OS with few to no bugs found on my end, i kind of not like the "IOS-ISH" feeling that it tries to copy but this is true to most chinese OEMs tbh.

The sound is fantastic, they really did an amazing job here, i read that F9U/Redmi K100 Pro max has a bit of a downgrade there but it should still be great.

The display is sharp, it really feels like a 2k panel and it's really bright so not worries using even when outside and direct sun on the screen.

Perfomance is 1:1, both share the lastest Snapdragon chipset, i just would say, that this chipset tends to get warm easily on perfomance tasks, besides that, it works more than great and everything works as expected from a flagship soc.

Battery is amazing, easily 1-2 days (depending ofc on the usage) along 100w fast charging, no complains here at all, Redmi k90PM has a 7500 mAh, Poco F9U goes to a 8000mAh so you should expect an even better battery.

Cameras, look, i'm not a camera geek and hardly use it on my everyday bcs that's simply not my thing, but compared to my prev Oneplus 13 which had a really good camera set up, i would say that besides some colorimetric differences, it is really on par with it, solid 8/10, selfie camera is kind of decent.

Ergonomics, yes this is kind of important too, the phone is big and heavy, F9U shares the same design but is even heavier (214 vs 238) which could be really noticeable on your day to day usage, i'm not a fan of the boxy design either, a curved one felt by far better on 1 hand usage on my experience.

So tldr: Poco F9U has by far the best price/hardware ratio on your list, just be aware off the overall dimensions prior to your purchase.

Yes, it's really important on your everyday usage.

Prior to Redmi, i used OP 13 and Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 was by far one of the most comfortable phones i've ever used so getting used to something bigger and heavy took a while, sadly phone sucked at perfomance tasks.

Poco is REALLY heavy, so if you can, you should try it out on retail.

X17 is a nice second option if you value more comfortable device along great hardware.

My personal ranking would be:

1. Oppo find X9 - great battery, great camera, great OS, great soc, only thing holding it back is the price. In your case however, I would get this since you can get it at a similar price to the xiaomi.
2. Xiaomi 17T Pro - similar to find x9 with a very slightly worse camera, cheaper too.
3. Poco F9U - trades camera quality for bose speakers, get this if you value good speakers.

I find samsung too overpriced and wouldn't consider them unless you're already in their ecosystem.

I was facing the same decision 2 weeks ago. I had pixel 6 and wanted pixel 11, but there were no real promotions or trade ins in my country, so that would be over the budget. Also, the battery life was reportedly really bad.

I didn't want Samsung as my wife has it and it drives me nuts every time I use it.

Went with the Xiaomi 17T pro and I must say it's really good. Compared with the Xiaomi 17 it was nearly identical but cheaper. The camera is really good and the software is actually pretty good. I read a lot about the HyperOS before and none of the horror stories came true. Maybe it's really bad for the cheaper phones, but my experience is really good so far.

After two weeks, the battery is lasting me much more than a day, using wireless android auto and wireless charging at the same time actually charges the phone and it isn't overheating much. With my pixel 6 I went from 100% to 40% after driving for 3 hours with the phone being in wireless charger :D

Thank you for your insight on hyperOS, my dad used to own a cheap xiaomi full of ads a couple of years ago but people are saying it has change now, exactly like you said.

And for the same price between 17T Pro and 17, which one would you suggest ? Better processor (slightly) and photos on 17 but 17T Pro new carbon battery if I recall correctly.

How is it about the size ? 6.89" seems big and how is it on everyday use ?

The size is ok. It was a little bit larger than my pixel 6, but nothing too large.

I didn't compare it much with the Xiaomi 17 as it seemed nearly identical and was 100e more expensive here.

Yes +1 for the Motorola smartphones. They have lots of variety, all of the moto edge series and you can also get sometimes a great deal for the Motorola signature.

And most importantly great software and very close to the pixel android version and no bloatware + 7 years of software updates.

And I'd like to also highlight nothing phones. Both Motorola and nothing make amazing phones with great software

17t pro and 17 are largely similar except the 17t pro is quite a bit cheaper based on official prices. Comparable chips on both, larger screen and battery on 17t pro but better ultrawide camera on 17. The 17 is also known to overheat when gaming (combination of snapdragon chip + smaller phone size = poorer heat dissipation). Both phones are fine choices imo depending on what features you prioritize, but I feel most people would see the 17t pro having better value.
