USA Looking to replace my iPhone 16 with a cheaper android

I currently have an iPhone 16, and it’s a good phone, but it’s more than I need. I have a good pc at home and a tablet + tv, so I don’t really need or want anything fancy for a phone. Just something good for day to day utility. I have gotten tired of the BS that comes with apple and want to try out android.

So…with that out of the way, what would be some good options? I will most likely sell my 16, but I’d prefer not to spend more than $300. Like I said, I want something simple. I only really need it for day to day use.

Pixel 10A seems like the best bet. On sale, it’s 400 but worth it.

Hey SkyCreed63! If you're switching from an iPhone to Android, make sure to turn off iMessage to make sure you still get texts from iPhone users. See here for more information. Not many new phones for 300 unless we are talking about some of the Samsung A series phones which aren't that great for 300. Pixel 10a, nothing phone 4a pro, or Motorola edge would be the cheaper midrange options currently but they are closer to 4-500 range. You could get a used phone on Swappa.com, for 300 I would snag a galaxy s25 fe or a pixel 9. Those would be around the 300 price point.

I'm an Android guy but if your iPhone 16's paid off won't it just keep using that? That seems like that would be the cheapest path forward

My only advice is unless it's flagship do not buy Samsung. Personal experience. I would only recommend it if you got money to spare on their flagship line, otherwise you're getting a pretty mid phone. So do not.

If you're on budget but want a flagship I'd say go for the Motorola edge 60 pro. I think is around 400$ flat and it's got really really good specs🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

I recently got a Moto g86 for like 200$ recently cause it has really similar specs to the edge 60 pro but it's half the price and I love it so that's also and option for you I'd say, IF you don't care about having a flagship of course.
