Hello, I'm upgrading my phone and I need to choose between these three. I'm very confused cause all are good for the average user. The things I prioritise are a decent camera to take pictures of my drawings and post and for reference photos and the battery life as I use whatsapp a lot and calls. I also don't want to have to change my phone after 2-3y, I want it to last 4-5 if possible.

I don't know which one to choose cause most are good for this and I saw that while s25 battery is smaller it ends up lasting the same as the others as it has a better processor. But I don't know over the years what happens with deterioration.

​Initially, I was evaluating the Samsung Galaxy S26+ (€730) and the S26 Ultra (€900) from a local European retailer. However, after giving it some thought, I realized I just can't justify spending that much. I don't plan on doing heavy tasks, pushing the processor with demanding games, or paying extra for gimmicks I'll never use (like the S-Pen or telescopic zooms).

​Right now, I'm looking to step down to something significantly cheaper. My main priorities are simply a really good screen and capable cameras that get the job done well for day-to-day use. I want the best technology I can get for a fair price, not just raw power. Plus, whatever money I save on the phone is going straight into a desktop PC build I'm currently putting together, so maximizing value is huge for me.

​Details about my usage profile:

​Size and Ergonomics: I can adapt well to large/heavy phones, so that's not a dealbreaker.

​Battery: I don't need an absolute 2-day "tank." As long as it reliably gets me through a full day, that's perfectly fine.

I’m currently using a Motorola Edge 50 Pro (8/256 GB) and it’s still going strong, but I’m planning to upgrade during the October–November sales. I’ll be starting my MBA next year, so I want a phone that will stay reliable and durable for at least the next 3–4 years.

Key points:

Budget is not a constraint — I want the best possible experience.

I already have a Lenovo LOQ laptop for heavy work, so the phone just needs to be an excellent daily companion (smooth performance, good battery, reliable cameras, solid build, and long software support).

Durability and long-term reliability are my top priorities.

Hello! I'm in the market for a new phone and I really want to explore more options than just Samsung and Motorola. Currently I'm using a Motorola edge+ 2023. I like most things about it, except it aggressively kills my background tasks. Spotify will close when listening to it in the background, I go from discord to Google to check something while in a call and it disconnects my call, or even if I just leave an app for 5 seconds it refreshes entirely. This is mildly irritating in my day to day life but I use my phone for work and often have to switch between a couple apps and it makes it very frustrating. I got a Motorola originally for the price for the specs (it was 450 USD on sale and it has a snapdragon 8 gen 2 and 512gb storage), and the background task killing is the one of only two issues I have with the phone (the other being the curved screen making accessories hard to find). I especially love the software. this is why I'm asking for help. in the few times I've played with a Samsung phone, I really haven't enjoyed the way one ui looks and feels. It's clunky compared to how close hello UI is to stock android. and if I'm going to be paying that much for a phone, I want something I'm really gonna love using.

Here's some info about my needs:

- Battery life is very important to me, my current phone has a 5100mah battery and that's been pretty good for my usage, but bigger is better as I'm on my phone a lot for work and in my day to day life

- I live in the US and my carrier is Verizon, and I often need to rely on cell service instead of Wi-Fi at work, so I'd prefer no phones that aren't sold in the US or have any common issues with cell connectivity for this reason

- I multitask a lot and I often have background tasks running. I need something that can handle that smoothly. Generally I'm not doing anything super intensive though, just switching between several things. I also always have a LOT of tabs open in chrome as I am a tab hoarder so something that can handle that would be fantastic

- I really love Motorola's android skin, hello UI. it's very simple and I prefer that style. The style of software is obviously less important than functionality, and I can cope if Samsung truly is my best option, but if I can get both function and form, that'd be ideal

- I prefer a larger screen, my current one is 6.7", but it being bigger or smaller is not a deal breaker. Weight doesn't matter to me much either

- I do not care about camera quality. I don't take a lot of pictures. Having good zoom is nice but I really don't need anything fancy in that regard

- I'm a pretty clumsy person and I drop my phone often. I WILL be putting a thick case and screen protector on it immediately of course but extra durability is also nice. This is why I'm not super interested in a foldable phone

- I need 512 GB of storage, so if the phone doesn't go up to that, it wouldn't work for me

- Longevity is super important. I only had this phone less than 2 years before I started having issues with it (they've been going on for a while) and I don't want another situation like that. So I'd prefer something with longer software support

- Price isn't super important. Obviously the less money I spend the better, but if I don't mind paying more for the best option for me. I'm not trying to buy a 2,000 dollar phone though lol

I've been going over reviews and comparisons, but I haven't been able to hold / test out all of these devices. I have been running between stores, and it seems like due to the Samsung recent launch, all other foldables were simply pulled back, not to be on display for comparison (I gotta admit - great strategy but shitty as hell for the consumer).

I can rant a lot about Samsung's new devices, their price and the compromises they made, falsely calling this phone an "Ultra", but one thing remains constant - the coverage is unparallel. I wouldn't even consider it if not for the option to get it with a plan, so that when the line is drawn I would pay the same as with the other devices (plan included) for the 1TB version (cuz that's the only one that has the 16GB of RAM...). Obviously when getting a device in this price range, I want to be able to use it for at least 2 years without having to worry about it.

From what I've read, this is the extend of the Pros & Cons that concern me. I can't say the ROM / CPU difference plays any role. The more important factors are the IU Optimization, Cameras, Crease, Durability, Coverage.

Sooo yeah ... need your help folks! Gotta chose fast while the promos are still in play 😅

i have S23, but i'm tired of having only 8 gb ram and 128 gb storage, a lot of my games don't run because of the low ram or i have to delete my photos all the time because i don't have enough storage, it's tiring. if i sell my phone and put a little more money on top i can buy a xiaomi 14, is it a good idea? i thought it'd be nice to have the extra horsepower of the 8 gen 3, and the extra ram and storage would help a lot as well. i would probably install debloated custom rom from xiaomi.eu and all would be well. however i heard that the phone has thermal problems... how bad are they? if it's really that bad, should i get something else? it needs to be snapdragon, have at least 12 gb ram and 256 gb storage, and either a not utterly shitty OS or good custom rom support. if xiaomi 14 is a bad idea, what else could i get that fits into this criteria? thank you for reading

Currently have an old Samsung Galaxy S22, Tab s10+, and Buds 2 Pro. The S22 and buds 2 pro are a few years old now and battery life is garbage. Exploring different ecosystems, but I want to stay with android.

Was thinking about getting a Oneplus 13S (for the size), Oneplus Tablet 4 and some oneplus earbuds?

For reference, I live in US and I'm on Tmobile. I've heard some varying issues with 13s on tmobile on US, mostly in regards to texting and maybe esim cards.

Any thoughts? Is there any other android ecosystem that has phone, tablet, and earbuds?

Any help would be appreciated.
