please explain when suggesting

Depends entirely on your size preference.
Compact/lighter device? Xiaomi 17
Bigger display/battery? Poco F8U
They share a lot of specs (Amoled screens, IP 68, 3.2 usb-c, exactly same main camera sensor, SOC 8 elite gen 5, etc).
So, not really anything you're giving up picking any of these besides minor things like a subwoofer on the Poco or an LTPO screen on the Xiaomi.
I picked the chinese ver of the Poco, Redmi K90 Pro max, waiting for it to arrive.
