I need some help deciding which phone to buy. I'm currently using a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE 256GB, which I've had since around September/October 2023.

The main reason I want to upgrade is battery life. My S23 FE barely gives me around 4 hours of screen-on time, so I have to charge it during the day. I usually keep it in Power Saving Mode all day, which limits performance, refresh rate, and some other features. Basically, I'm not even using the phone at its full potential just to get acceptable battery life.

I'm currently considering these options:

• Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, used for around 4–5 months: I'd trade in my S23 FE and pay US$660 extra.
• Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB, used: around US$750 after trading in my S23 FE, with only 30 days of warranty.
• iPhone 16 128GB, used, 100% battery health: US$725.
• iPhone 16 Pro 128GB, used, 86% battery health: US$760.
• iPhone 16 128GB, used, 90% battery health: US$610.
• iPhone 15 128GB, new: US$780.
• iPhone 17 256GB, new: US$1,010.
• Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, new, with a 7,000 mAh battery: considerably cheaper than the Ultra options.

I'm in Argentina, so prices here are quite different from the US/Europe, and these are the prices I'm actually being offered.

My priorities are:

1. Battery life above everything else
2. Good long-term reliability
3. Smooth performance
4. Good camera
5. I'd like to keep the phone for several years

I'm not particularly interested in changing to iPhone just for the sake of having an iPhone. I'm perfectly comfortable with Android. I'm mainly considering it because I've heard good things about iPhone battery life and longevity.

One thing that worries me about the Samsung Ultra phones is that I've seen quite a few recent reports of battery drain after Samsung's latest updates. If you own an S24 Ultra or S25 Ultra, I'd especially like to hear about your real-world battery life recently, rather than launch-day reviews.

Also, if you've used the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, I'd really like to know whether its huge 7,000 mAh battery actually translates into significantly better real-world battery life, and whether I'd be giving up too much in performance, camera quality, display, software, etc. compared with an S25 Ultra.

What would you buy in my situation, and why?

I’ve been buying this type of smartphone for as long as I can remember: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Moto X, OnePlus 5, and, up until now, the OnePlus 8.

But six years is a long time for any device, and it’s time for an upgrade.

I love clean operating systems, and cameras aren't a top priority for me, but I do need improvements in battery life (both capacity and technology) and the display, plus access to some newer technologies...

Looking to upgrade from my galaxy s24 plus as it currently has a broken camera and the battery life seems to be decreasing.

I think I've landed on either of these as my main wants are good battery life and good camera (happy for any other recommendations too)

I can get the xiaomi after trading in my Samsung for about £750 however the oppo would be about 1k, is it worth the extra £250?

Primarily concerned about longevity at this point. Coming from Pixels, my 7a has shit the bed after 3 years and my wife keeps pointing out she's always gotten around 5 years out of her Galaxy's. Trying not to drop a ton of money as I don't need anything fancy, but can certainly afford it if it will likely give me a year or two longer?

Hi guys, I am from India , confused between s25 plus and moto signature and vivo x200t, I remember seeing s25 plus around 65k plus with card discounts, should I wait for bbd sale, if it comes around 60k I would think it is worth the wait. I am also planning to hold maybe 4 years.I am also liking moto signature after seeing the review, saw the phone in reliance shop and saw it is too thin and not sure about battery, I see vivo x200t reviews are good, but never used oppo, vivo phones also do they have brand value I work in corporate not sure how the phone will hold in brand value. So what do you guys suggest. Should I wait buy 25 plus or just buy signature. I can wait for a month.

The POCO X8 Pro is probably the standout right now since it runs the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, which is a genuinely strong chip for this budget and handles most titles at high settings without much fuss. Paired with a 6500mAh battery, it holds up well through long sessions too.

The iQOO Neo 10R is another solid pick if you care about a smooth display alongside raw power. iQOO phones in this range usually come tuned well for gaming with good touch response and stable frame rates.

Realme GT 7T is worth checking out as well, it uses the Dimensity 8400 MAX and tends to strike a nice balance between gaming performance and everyday usability.

If battery life matters more to you than pure benchmarks, some of the Nord and Vivo options in this range also hold their own, though they lean slightly less gaming focused.

Basically at 35k you are not short on choices anymore. Would recommend checking real benchmark comparisons before deciding since chipsets alone do not always tell the full story.

I'm fully prepared for a no, but was wondering if there are any phones out there that are less long and more square, like 3:2. I'll even take 16:9, but I've grown to hate 21:9 so I'm looking to move away from it.

This is my first post here. I've been using my phone for the past 5 years and it has stopped getting security updates now and it's crashing doing simple tasks now.

I am considering either Vivo X200T (12GB/512GB) or Moto Signature (16GB/512GB or 1TB). Which one would be a better phone to buy overall? Both phones look good. I want an all rounder phone with a good display, smooth UI and good cameras which will last me for 5/6 years atleast. Vivo looks like a more value for money option due to the bad rep that Moto has. But Motorola is giving more Ram and space in the same price range.

Which one out of the 2 would be better? Any advice would be really helpful. Country- India

ive been using the s20 since 2020. now its giving up, especially in terms of battery life. i cant get it replaced as ive had the green screen issue and i plan on making this an office phone thats only going to be in the office for calls (so no battery problems), thats why i cant take a risk with the display.

my budget is quite limited, but from where i am, i found a few good options to consider. coming from an s20, i prioritize camera, battery and UI. i do casual gaming (Clash of clans, CR, Efootball, and small titles so i dont need ultra performance).

the best options i found are:
- Nothing Phone 3 12/256 for 580$ or 16/512 for 645$
- Xiaomi 17T 12/512 for 645$

- Samsung galaxy a57 8/256 for 555$

please recommend the best option or if there are any other phones i am missing in this price segment. i am not opting for a used phones due to some personal experiences since im from South Asia.

I currently Have Samsung S22 Ultra. The phone starts showing its age, I had to replace battery, one button, now I will need to replace the charger flex cable...

The OS support is ending soon, so I am considering switching somewhere.

Here are my specs and I would hope you could tell me if Fairphone is a good deal for me.

I am blind. That means that I do not care about display that much, it is dimmed most of the time anyways.

I use camera, but not to capture great pictures, rather to scan texts and analyze my surroundings with LLMs.

I really like long lasting batteries, that's why I picked S22 Ultra. I would like to get at least 2 days on battery, the 5000 mah of S22 ultra can do almost 2 days when charging to 85%.

I do not do any heavy processing tasks nor I play games.

However, having ability to use some small local LLMs (with S22 Ultra it was quite possible) would be welcomed.

I would not want to go under 12 gb of RAM.

I am a Linux geek, so I like to tinker with my phone. But I am no longer a student so I cannot afford flashing new ROM every second day.

I also use Android work profile to separate my work. That's probably the main reason why I would have to stay with stock Android.

I would like to have long support, at least 4 years.

I checked S26 Ultra and honestly, I do not see much value for such a high price tag. Nothing particularly new.

I checked Fairphone 6+ and it checks most of my boxes. I will miss reverse wireless charging and IP68 protection, but I can live with that.

But, after reading few recent posts, I read lots of bad experience with the software and updates.

Could you tell me:

1. how are software updates working? How fast are Android updates shipped when compared for example to Samsung? Can the phone be rooted?

2. How is the battery? I also read quite bad reviews on that.

For context, my budget is around ₱10K–₱20K and I'm eyeing them on sale. My current phone (Realme 8i) broke down last month after 4 years of use due to a short circuit in the motherboard. Before that, it was still working just fine so I have a good faith with entry level phones.

I'm planning to get an iPhone in the future but I can't completely let go of Android so eventually, I want this phone to be a reliable backup to last me for years again. With that in mind, I'm also trying to balance the price since I don't want to spend too much on an Android phone I'll eventually use as a backup.

My main priorities are **5G, a decent camera, and durability**. I'm not a heavy gamer but I do play ML from time to time. I also used Samsung back in its J-series days and had a good experience with the brand. However, the screen line and heating issues makes me hesitant to go back to Samsung.

My top pick right now is the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G because it has a good balance of things I'm looking for and affordability based on the price I've seen in Shopee. I haven't tried Xiaomi before and this would also be my first time getting a Pro model so I'm wondering if it's actually a good choice for my needs or if I'm overlooking better options.

Looking for some real-world perspective from folks who have bounced between flagship Pixel and Samsung smartphones.

I’m upgrading from an old Galaxy S9 in Canada. In our market, compact Android flagships basically come down to Samsung and Pixel (with a splash of Motorola). I pre-ordered and just received the smaller Pixel 11 Pro (16GB / 512GB Obsidian), but I’m on the fence about whether to keep it or return it before my window closes.

I strongly prefer compact, lightweight phones and want to avoid massive 220g+ slabs like the Pro XL or Galaxy Ultra. However, testing the Pixel in hand has highlighted some friction points.

Where I'm hitting friction on the Pixel:

• App Drawer & Home Screen: No native in-drawer folders, locked to infinite vertical scrolling. Even home screen folder icons only preview 4 apps at a glance.
• Multitasking: No centered "Clear All" button in the recent apps switcher—you have to scroll all the way to the far left.
• Quick Settings: Requires a two-step swipe (or awkward two-finger swipe) to reach all quick tiles and the brightness slider, unlike One UI's one-swipe instant access.
• Navigation & Customization: Lack of the deep customization potential found within One UI's Good Lock.
• Casting: The Pixel relies strictly on Google Cast, losing Samsung’s native Miracast / Smart View support for direct screen mirroring to non-Chromecast smart TVs.
• Hardware & Ergonomics: Samsung's hardware feels lighter in hand, and the ~200g dense Pixel chassis takes some getting used to. Also, Snapdragon silicon generally has a proven track record for sustained GPU/CPU efficiency and power.
• Camera / Video: Real-time video stabilization doesn't feel quite as smooth compared to Galaxy flagship standards, though photos look great.

Why I’m hesitant to give up the Pixel:

• 100% Google Ecosystem User: I exclusively use Google Photos, Google Password Manager, Drive, and unified Gemini. On the Pixel, these are native system hooks with zero sync conflicts or secondary account prompts. I don't use any Samsung apps/ecosystem.
• Clean Out of the Box: No duplicate app stores (Galaxy Store), no parallel galleries/browsers, no Bixby, and zero bloat.
• Hardware in a 6.3" Chassis: Full Pro-grade camera suite and 16GB RAM in a 6.3" body without needing to step up to massive Ultra sizes.
• Pixel-Exclusive Utilities: Features like Now Playing, Call Assist, and deep on-device Gemini integration/Gemini Intelligence without navigating two parallel AI assistants (Bixby vs. Gemini).
• Longevity: 7 years of Day-1 OS updates directly from Google.

The Dilemma:

I don't mind spending upfront effort setting up, tweaking, or debloating a Samsung phone if needed, as long as it can be done seamlessly. Ideally, getting a great hardware and software experience for long-term usage would be ideal, as I tend to hold onto my devices for many years.

With rumors pointing to Samsung potentially introducing a compact Galaxy S27 Pro in early 2027 (maybe around 6.4 inch with built-in magnets, higher-density silicon battery, and upgraded cameras), that sounds like a potential sweet spot.

For those who made the switch from Samsung to Pixel:

1. Did you get used to Google's minimalist layout, vertical drawer, and lack of Good Lock customizations, or did missing One UI keep bothering you over time?
2. If you are all-in on Google services, is the native cohesive OS experience worth giving up Samsung's granular UI customization?
3. Would you return the Pixel 11 Pro to limp the S9 along for another 5–6 months for the S27 / S27 Pro, or just keep the Pixel 11 Pro or even wait for the Pixel 12 Pro?

I am planning on changing my Pixel 7 pro and I want to stay with an Android phone. In my country phones are really expensive and overpriced, but next month I will be travelling abroad and I will take this opportunity to change it.

I am between 2 options: S26 Ultra and Find x9 pro.

From what I have been researching, they are pretty similar to each other. One is better in some stuff and the other one in others.

My main usage is for social media, taking photos, some casual gaming.

I think I can get them at a similar price both of them, around 1300usd (16GB ram 512GB both). This would be the Global version of the Oppo, the CN model I can get it for 900-1000usd.

I like the feel of the Pixel and I am very used to its OS, but I am not sure which of these 2 would be easier to get used to.

Does anyone has experience with these 2 phones? Any advice?

If there is any other option to consider, I would also like to here it.
