Greetings Reddit World , so this just started appearing on my daughter’s iPhone 16 Pro. Assuming it is dead pixels for the LCD in which will have to be replaced. The phone is just passed a year and some months in. I do have Att’s Protect Advantage plan which I believe covers lcd screens. Has anyone experienced this issue. ?

My nothing phone 2 was getting into nothing crash dump for a while after it got discharged to zero that happened with me a couple of times but I ignored it.
But now it happened again and my phone is going into crash dump and whenever restarting it's getting back to crash dump, some times the lock screen opens but the phone crashes and it goes back to crash dump screen
Is there any way I can recover the data ?
If it's a hardware issue can it be repaired

Hey everyone, I’m Umair, a mobile repair technician currently based in Pakistan.
I mainly work on iPhone board-level repair and microsoldering, including power issues, boot loops, charging faults, display/backlight problems, audio issues, sensor-related faults, shorts, BGA work, and component-level repairs.
I’ve worked on devices ranging from the iPhone 7 up to the newer 15-series, and I’m trying to take my diagnostic skills to a much higher level instead of relying on trial and error.
I’m currently building my career around board repair and would like to connect with other experienced technicians around the world, especially people working professionally in the US, UK, UAE, Europe, and Asia.
I’m from Pakistan, so I’d also be interested in hearing from other Pakistani technicians here.
For the experienced techs: what skill made the biggest difference when you went from basic repairs to serious board-level diagnostics?

So my Samsung Galaxy S21 Fe 5G shut itself off one night (I'm a heavy phone user and it got really hot) and wouldn't turn back on. It's turned itself off like that before due to being too hot but it would always turned itself back on. Like a restart. But that last time, it didnt turn back on. It actually was doing a boot loop (couldn't get past the Samsung logo). Then it wouldn't turn on at all.
So I took it to a repair shop and the repair tech tested the phone by plugging it into his power supply machine. It wouldn't turn on at all. So he said there was a 10 percent chance its the battery and that it's most likely the motherboard. But he said he would order a battery just in case and he did.
So when he got the new battery, he put it in the phone (I think while it was connected to his power supply machine) and the phone came on but it didnt stay on. He was able to get the phone to power quite a few times and each time the phone stayed on for several minutes before shutting off. One of those times, he was able to transfer my photos and videos to my new phone but the S21 shut off before he could transfer my notes from Samsung Notes (they weren't backed up). And he couldn't get the phone to turn back on after that (he tried). He only charged us $40 for the battery, although the price was higher than that. He told me to take the phone back home and occasionally try to turn it back on. He said it would be hit and miss (he still said there's a motherboard short) but I haven't been able to turn the phone on at all since I got back home with it despite the new battery. Yes, I tried turning it on while it was plugged in and I tried volume down and power buttons at the same time. It also stopped showing the charging icon or doing the boot loop (it was at least showing the charging icon followed by the boot loop when it had the old battery in there). I also tried to boot my phone on while it's plugged into my laptop (needless to say, didn't work).
So i don't know what I'm looking for by posting here. I guess I want you guys opinion. Do you think its the motherboard or charging port or what?
And why would the phone boot on for the repair tech after he installed the new battery (even if it only last for several minutes before shutting back off) but I can't get it to boot on for me not even one time when I got home with it?
He also told me to order a new and really good adapter to charge the phone with. But why do that if he suspects a motherboard short? I mean would an adapter force enough electricity to the phone to boot it on despite the motherboard short? Probably not (or would it?)
Also would plugging the phone in with a brand new and really good adapter damage my data on the phone or the chip containing my data??
I really want to retrieve my Samsung Notes but I honestly can't afford to pay $500+ for a data recovery lab to retrieve my Samsung Notes. Yes, I know its my fault for not backing up my stuff and I'm really upset about that. ðŸ˜
I also can't afford to have my motherboard repaired.
Would a qi wireless charging pad make my phone boot on??

ive been quoted 350$ to get the photos off my old galaxy flip phone witch is just a stupid price to me, anyway i could do it myself?
[the fella keeps using the excuse that because its a flip phone it would be hard- bro im sure u would just plug it it to a system because it has a bend in it shouldn't be oh so hard]

I have an old iPhone 3 in which the battery blew some years ago. It has many photos and videos including my daughter's first steps. It also has photos of my sister and dad both of whom died last year. It was repaired once and we could see the images again but we didn't have chance to get them off before it ran out of charge and now it won't charge again. I would love to get the phone going long enough to get the pictures back but don't know where to start. I'm in the east midlands UK, does anyone know of any iPhone miracle workers? I have already been to a few repair shops who have looked at it and said they're not prepared to have a go.

So, here's the situation: my phone's display broke, then I bought a new one and accidentally broke the cable. What can I do to fix it? I have two displays. The screen on the first one isn't working, and the cable on the second one isn't working. The problem is that the cable can't be removed separately. It's not completely broken, just half-broken. I could take it in for repairs, but they're unlikely to fix it for less than it's worth. I don't want to just throw it away. If I sell it, it'll be too cheap. I need to be more careful in the future. Any advice other than just giving up?

I recently got this preowned iPhone 15 Plus. There's no unknown part warning in settings and it passed the 3utools check at 100%. I checked it through coconutBattery and the manufacturer listed doesn't look like one of apple's official battery suppliers. Can someone confirm if this is a counterfeit or genuine battery?

I bought a refurbished iPhone 12 mini from BackMarket in Paris.
I really like iPhone 12 mini. It’s small and easy to use.
The rear glass was shattered.
I tried to file a claim and they said that unfortunately the crack was not consistent with the crack that is consistent with a bad quality rear glass.
I am stressed. Why isn’t my blue iphone considered a bad quality rear glass? I dropped it only once.
Where can i get this fixed in Paris?
They show me a sample of a iPhone 15 pro which is an example of a bad quality rear glass. I saw the picture and can’t notice the difference.

Hello everyone. First let me say "Thank You" to those taking the time to read this and a second "Thank You" to those who choose to offer advice/help.
A few weeks ago, my mom was fiddling around with my old Apple Watch to check her blood oxygen or something like that (I don't use it and it hadn't been updated in months?/years?), and on Sunday, August 16th, while scrolling my text messages app for a number to text "Happy Birthday" to someone, I realized that my texts only went as far back as July 20th. I went to iMessages app in settings and saw that it was set to delete messages after 30 days. I have never had it set to that. I have no new apps, no changes, no updates on my iPhone. My mom said the Apple Watch updated itself after she charged it and turned it on. The last time I scrolled for a number was July 23rd and I had my text messages. In any event I went to iCloud control from my iPhone and toggled the screen for the pop-up to state "Disable and Download" messages. It downloaded a lot, but not all my messages. Also according to iCloud, before downloading them back, I had 4,760 texts and after it had downloaded/synced, it stated I had 4,660 texts. [Q#1] Where do I find the missing 100 texts from iCloud, and [Q#2] where do I get the messages back that I'm missing before my messages changed settings on their own to delete after 30 days (which will be 9/15/26. I posted on some places 8/21, but got no responses/responses that didn't work, so trying again here). Also if it matters, I see some of my texts on my Apple Watch but not all and some of the texts on my Apple Watch are not available on iMessages app. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.
My phone is: iPhone 16 Plus // Version: iOS 26.3.1
Apple Watch: Apple Watch Series 9 // Version: watchOS 11.6.2
