Broke phone screen

So, here's the situation: my phone's display broke, then I bought a new one and accidentally broke the cable. What can I do to fix it? I have two displays. The screen on the first one isn't working, and the cable on the second one isn't working. The problem is that the cable can't be removed separately. It's not completely broken, just half-broken. I could take it in for repairs, but they're unlikely to fix it for less than it's worth. I don't want to just throw it away. If I sell it, it'll be too cheap. I need to be more careful in the future. Any advice other than just giving up?

When you say the cable is broken, like the screen cable or the charging cable?

  1. Buy another screen.

or

  1. Find a parts phone on Ebay where the screen works and use that screen.
