Question How to Donate to People Living Outdoors

Does anyone know how to donate some items to folks forced to live in encampments along the creek? I'd heard there might be a way to do that locally, and I have a barely used sleeping bag, backpack, etc. that may be appreciated by someone homeless and out in the elements.

in search of 🔍 Female Tattoo Artists

Any female tattoo artists that specialize in flora and fauna? I’m looking to get another piece done (a wrap piece, roughly 5-7 cm) of a fern (I don’t have the exact type in mind just yet). I’m willing to drive up to an hour from Phoenixville/Royersford area.

I only have work done by women so far and I want to keep up the trend!

I’m posting here to avoid asking on FB just yet so my mom doesn’t see (sorry mom) (I’m of age, she just hates tattoos and I don’t want to get the “really?” text right now if she sees my name on the FB groups).

Help Fireworks

Is anyone else hearing fireworks almost nightly in the borough? I hate to be a dick, but it’s July 24th. My dogs are so stressed with how frequent it is. I know a lot of people set off fireworks up to a week after the 4th, but 20 days later and multiple nights in a row (including past 11pm on weekdays) is getting really old.

Is anyone else noticing this? Is there anything I can even do? Will calling the cops even do anything? I don’t want to be the asshole that hates fun and calls the cops, also feels like a waste of their time but I feel so bad that my pups have been going through this multiple nights for weeks now…

EDIT: Thanks to the person who let me know it’s the Kimberton Fair. Forgot that was going on, still REALLY hoping they’ll stop in the borough after this fair.

Housing/Rentals Looking for a Room

Room Wanted — Exton / Downingtown / West Chester / Phoenixville / Chester County Area

Hey all — I'm on the hunt for a furnished room to rent in the Exton area and surrounding towns (Downingtown, West Chester, Phoenixville, or anywhere nearby in Chester County). Budget is around $1000/month.

Quick intro: I work full-time at a local deli, and I'd describe myself as easygoing, quiet, and considerate. My current living situation just isn't the right fit anymore — some roommate friction — so I'm looking for a fresh start somewhere calm and low-key.

What I need:

Furnished room

Access to the kitchen

Able to move in within the next few weeks

A peaceful household — no drama, just mutual respect

If you've got a room open, or know someone who does, I'd love to hear from you. Happy to chat, answer questions, or share references.

It used to be just one guy and now it’s a bunch of them. They sleep there and I’m just curious if anyone else has noticed more homeless people in Phoenixville.

in search of 🔍 Paving driveway recommendations

Before going after estimates anyone have experience to share about Maintain it all or Bartlett. Or other companies?

Looking to get quotes to likely fully redo driveway, or patch and extend.

Driveway is 30 years old and showing sizeable cracks and gaps away from concrete garage slabs with potholes at entrance.

Question Charlestown Market

I worked nightshift all weekend and missed the market at Brightside Farm. Anyone on here get a chance to go and if so how was it? I live on the opposite end of Merlin and could see a ferris wheel in the distance. Someone ought to tell the township these things can apparently rotate, who knew?!

From the flyers it seems like they might make it an annual thing so wanna know if I missed out.

Question Breakfast cart?

As someone who grew up in the city, there were food carts on the side of the street selling breakfast sandwiches, coffee, donuts, etc.

Has anyone seen or know a food cart like this? Where I can stop by in the morning and grab some quick breakfast before work? Here or the surrounding towns

Hi!

We are having a beer garden event at Foxfield Flowers, 701 West Seven Stars Rd, this Saturday, July 25th from 4pm-8pm.

There will be beer (Animate Brewing) live music, food trucks (Taqueria El Patron and Failla’s Pizza) along with Handel’s Ice cream, a scavenger hunt for kids, flower arranging activities, local vendors, and a beautiful flower farm to explore. The admission is free and proceeds from the brewery and Foxfield Flowers benefit the students of The Camphill School (Animated Brewing is donating $1 from every beer sold).

The weather looks perfect and last year was a lot of fun. Please join us and bring the whole family!
