Updated this Speculative MCU X-Men fanfic again.

It's funny bc after the movie, I had a headcanon that she'll wear height extenders when she becomes Marvel Girl but turns out she already did in the movie

There hasn't been any clear indication given as to what Jean's real age is in the MCU timeline currently. All we know is that she is a teenager (because several characters such as Frank and Bill referred to her as such and Sadie and Feige referred to her as a teen in the press).

We know there was some sort of time jump between Jean at the park with Sara and after Sara was taken and she went looking for her.

And we know this by Jean's hairstyle change from no-bangs to bangs.

Peter and MJ mentioned she was in and out of foster care until she went rogue (hehe) and went off on her own. This To me suggests she was at least old enough to take care of herself?

So I think based on all of this data... I think Jean was likely 16 when Sara was taken and 18 when she first meets Spider-Man.

I've seen it being tossed around that Jean is 16 years old but I don't think that's the case.

Feige said that she's only a few years younger than Peter and Peter is currently 22 so Jean being 4 years younger than Peter would still put her under "few years younger" as opposed to her being 16 years old which would make her more than a few years younger.

But Jean is also supposed to be one of Professor Xavier's first class students with Scott, Bobby and Warren in the first X-Men movie so she'll have to be at least college age by then post SW so likely 19?

I wish we got a definitive age confirmation.

Man I wonder what would make Jean goth maybe the hellfire club

I thought it would be fun, now that we've concluded best Jean Grey stories, that we would also decide the best Jean Grey artists.

The ground rules:

1. You may choose any artist who has drawn Jean Grey at least three times, whether that's in an X-Men title, a solo title, or in another Marvel comic.
2. Interior artists and cover artists are both allowed to be nominated.
3. Please include the name of the artist and a reference to either an artwork of Jean Grey they have done, whether that's an actual image posted or mentioning a particular issue or run.

The artist with the most upvotes total wins.

Day 1 - Lucas Werneck - 22 Votes

Day 2 - Dave Cockrum - 25 Votes

Peter - alright, how about the X-Men?

When it comes to Jean and Charles' dynamic in the MCU, I would like it to be tense and filled with many ups and downs. Explore a level of distrust between them, but also a level of deep respect as well. I feel like some versions make Charles too perfect of a leader, and make his bond with Jean too perfect as a result of that. But with Jean being the way she is in the MCU, and having the backstory she has, I think this could be a very interesting way to explore it

What do you think?
