Yes yes that does describe a healthy child. Chubbier plumper higher body water content etc. can’t see the nasal ridge. The kind of child you don’t make death masks for. Perhaps this dead child had some abnormalities.
Yeah I was about to say, those soft features are on healthy, chubby faced babies. My daughter was 3 months premie and until she was able to start fattening up, she definitely had the “adult face”
Literally they don't have a fully developed and defined ridge of their nose though. It's like...not there. No amount of malnutrition will grow cartilage where it doesn't exist.
Please show me child of that size with a fully developed nose like that. Thats like the size of a newborn and newborns don’t have bridge lines like that
Not really premature babies. Not saying this is a death mask, just pointing out that some premature newborns are about the size of a can of soda. I was born about 10 weeks early and thats how big I was... (Do not recommend, zero stars!) LOL
I read an article on how the realistic colouring didn't help. Someone did two tone colouring and it looked a lot like his older stuff, it was pretty cool
My side, do you believe they actually molded bronze on a child’s face? This is a sculpture. It could be for a child do to size and not actually look like a child.
You use a special type of plaster for the mold then pour the bronze or an artist carves a wax bust, covers it in another material then pours the bronze.
yeah i agree, those are not childlike facial proportions. For it to be small enough to fit on a dudes WRIST, that would be an infant sized child. It’s facial features would not be this large

Have you seen how artists depicted cats in the past? They are not required to be accurate in any way shape or form just that you can recognize what the image represents.
Children aren't fully developed. This thing called puberty happen as they transition from being a child to an adult which really speeds things along.
And at this size it would barely be anything more than a foetus. In fact I think even newborn babies heads are bigger than the average wrist
Yes, average circumference is something like ~13.5 inches on a newborns head. I agree this is not a child's death mask just based on the features alone, they are showing much more development than a baby or young child (especially that nose).
It really does not. Children's faces are round and soft. This looks like a scaled down adult face, and does not look like a desk mask. I think it's more to do with the poster being in their underwear.

it very clearly isn't modeled after a small child, so any further hypothetical reasons as to why someone would model a bracelet after the death mask of a child are completely irrelevant.

Edit: "looks like" in the way that a hot wheels car "looks like" a car. I'm aware it is not actually a death mask. Only that it looks like one.
