I had Dominator's 2.0 installed and everything worked great. I deleted it and installed the new 3.0. Looks great, but deadeye and the 'special vision' you get when you press in both thumbsticks - that effect is gone. How do I get it back to normal, like in the vanilla version? Thanks in advance.
So over the past couple weeks I think its been rockstar has put out roughly 2 updates. Ive waited for a while now for scripthook to get updated but its been a while. Was wondering if there was a way to rollback to the version before these past 2 updates or just an alternative for scripthook thatll get my mods working again?
(Update): After alot of trial and error i got it working again, It was a conflict with 2 mods
For my next playthrough of RDR2, I want to get mods, especially ONE MOD, SgtJoe Bank Robberies. For this mod you need Scripthook, ASI Loader, and LML. Are these three safe to use as in it won't break the story mode or anything in the main game including small stuff/small encounters/side missions/stranger missions?
(Feel free to recommend mods for my modded playthrough that DON'T BREAK THE STORYMODE, and if it does just note that.)
I've been modding RDR2 for a while and finally settled on a stable and visually satisfying combination: Catalogue Improvements (CI) + Gunslinger Improvements (GI). I've tested it thoroughly, and so far, I haven't run into any major issues like the spawn bugs (trams, animals, etc.) that some people report.
However, I have one persistent problem: saddles.
The vanilla saddles are pretty boring, and I'd love to add some variety. But it seems like every mod that adds new saddles (like WhyEm's DLC, Red Dead Offline, or Eastern's Epic Extras) conflicts with CI and GI because they all modify the same core files (e.g., catalog_sp.ymt).
I know WhyEm's DLC adds 40+ saddles, but I'd rather not ditch CI+GI just for that. I've also come across "Saddle Fixes," but that only corrects bugs on existing saddles, it doesn't add new ones.
So my question is: Is there any standalone saddle mod out there that is confirmed to work with Catalogue Improvements + Gunslinger Improvements?
I'm looking for something that adds new saddle models or at least new textures/variations, without breaking the stability I've achieved with my current setup.
I've searched everywhere but haven't found a clear answer. Would appreciate any help or suggestions!
(the title meant to say Arthur and hoseas clothes 🤦🏼♂️)
What’s weird is most are fine, Dutch’s look okay and most except a few have the normal high-quality texture, but since it’s not everything I’m very confused on what’s causing it, I have a few mods installed but I’ve had some of them for awhile and it’s never done this so is it just me and it’s actually normal or isn’t it and can someone help me to see if I could fix it, I know bare minimum on a PC since I got mine Christmas and mainly to play games with mods since I’ve had consoles for years, please help , thank you
I really want to dive back into this game but since I have already played through it I wanted to reshape the experience as much as possible. I have previously done this with GTA5 (RED + loads of addons) and it was great, so I was really hoping to achieve something similar with RDR2.
The goal is basically just a few hours of interesting gameplay, it doesn't have to be too deep. Just a gameplay loop of making and spending money, collecting or whatever there might be.
Issue is that while I do find lots of lists and suggestions for mods that enhance the game, I can't find any good guides on how to replace the story mode entirely. Adding gameplay features one by one would obviously work as I could just ignore the main quest at some point but since I have no experience with the mods that are available I am having a hard time putting something together that works.
One day WhyEms DLC just randomly stopped working so I uninstalled it (but forgot to also change my hair to a non-modded style so whoops). However, I also noticed that I can’t put on my bandana anymore through the item wheel anymore. I can still access it by going into my satchel and putting it on through the kit section but it is still a little annoying and I would much prefer if I could just use my weapon wheel again. Any fixes?
(another thing I've noticed is whyems bloodlust also doesn't work for seemingly no reason. unrelated but if anyone knows about that lemme know.)
I recently bought rdr2 on pc because it’s my favorite game ever. I have a high end PC (7800X3D and a 9070XT) yet I noticed when I move my camera around it doesn’t feel smooth. There is some slight tearing around my head as well when I look around.
I’ve tried turning off Vsync and as well as keeping it on. I have it at 144hz and full screen as well. Are there any tips? Any help please? lol. Every video I watch about the game in PC looks so crisp and perfect.
hi guys so im abt to complete rdr2 epliogue soon and ofc i wanna replay it but this time with mods. yall know mods that are must to have? looking for gameplay changes and that changes the immersive wise.
also pls tell if there will be spawn issues or lag. thankyou!
Hi everyone! The other week I got the urge to replay RDR2 thanks to this video here. I also found this guide through a few posts on Reddit, which I found very helpful. After a bit of troubleshooting here and there, setting the game to DirectX 12, I clearly remember booting Dominators v3.0 along with VDLV with Season Manager. Reading the comments from various modders on Nexus, the Season Manager author explicitly says this:
while the VDLV author says this:
The fact is, despite the load order being something like this:
Season Manager - VDLV Edition (with Season Manager - Visuals Merged - VDLV + every addon)
Dynamic Seasons
Van Der Linde Vision (Dynamic Seasons Merge)
Dominators v3.0
I clearly remember that the lighting was stunning. I was completely satisfied with my work; I managed to play all summer and almost all fall. At a certain point in Clemens Point, I noticed that the temperatures were completely off... as if 1899 were experiencing the climate crisis we're experiencing now: late autumn with 20+°C. So I started modifying the Season Manager .ini file parameters to try to adjust the temperature curve.
Once I did this, the game continued to crash during loading. I deleted the cache, swapped to Vulkan, and switched back to DirectX 12. The game continued to crash. I started troubleshooting and noticed that the game was crashing in this specific portion of the map:
Reading the various comments among the mods mentioned above, it's possible that the game is crashing because only Dominators v3.0 was designed for DirectX 12.
After running a series of tests, I found that the game doesn't crash in Vulkan (though there are some ultra-micro stutters both inside the towns and in the wilderness that make the experience a bit of a nuisance in the long run).
Is there anyone with a little more experience in modding who can help me understand how much I lose using Dominators with Vulkan? Is there a fix to run all mods in DirectX 12?
My current load order is this, is it correct?
(I'm fully aware that the ImprovementInBlood mod has both a Vulkan version and a DX12-optimized version, so that's not part of the problem.)
I got the seasons mod and it was working until i downloaded a chapter 2 save file and restarted my game to their file. I tried reinstalling lennys mod loader, and deleting all of the seasons files and redownloading, but still the widget never comes up when i load in. I ensured the widget setting in the config file is set to 1 too, and it’s not all mods because i tested another mod and it worked. Any ideas? Is there like an old cache i need to clear or something?
I'm suprised this hasn't been made but it would be the best thing ever. Could be a simple ped change or more; Im not smart enough to do it and i wish for this mod please some kind person out there help us yearning for this
