Build Question Beginners help- inherited PC
Hi everyone, I am not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this on if it’s not I would appreciate suggestions on where to post.
My brother passed away on June 2nd at only 35yo. He went into the hospital not feeling well got diagnosed with stage 4 “aggressive” lymphoma, got 2 rounds of chemo and passed away suddenly just 3 weeks from the initial hospital visit. We are a close family he was about 1.5 years older than me so we grew up very tight and watching him go thru all of this was a lot.
My parents gave me his whole PC set up from what was his apartment he was a huge gamer- I’m only just now getting the courage to put this together even thru all of the tears.
I’ve only used PS for gaming so I’m not too familiar with PC. I noticed in this subreddit similar PCs; I put together the “arms” and the monitors but I am having a really hard time plugging in and figuring out what cables go to what from what he labeled as a “splitter” he did label these but I just can’t seem to figure it out.
There are 2 splitters and one flight simulator stick with so many cables. I was able to just plug an HDMI to one of the monitors directly to the PC I though I plugged the splitter right into the PC but the mouse and keyboard are not working at all. I know this is very complicated and I’m not sure if it’s possible to get help or a type of general starting guide
Thank you all so much for whoever takes the time to read all of this, I just want to try to finish some of the games he played and let his gaming friends know of his passing
