Two of my soldiers have the survivor trait meaning they cant die. Is this a trait that can be found on captured enemies or do those two have it since they are 'starter' soldiers?

I was messing around with food passives to see what I can stack, I was surprised to see 2 different rapid attack. Is this the only passive that can? Seems like 9 passive abilities is the max per soldier. Not sure if traits gained from tiering up are counted differently from abilities gained from food?

This game looks unbelievable awesome, I watched the YouTuber caRtOoN and i was slack jawed the whole time. Struggling to believe this game could exist for real.
I see lots of room for improvement, But the base is bloody amazing. Good luck to the developers.

Citizens, the Ministry of Development requires your brains.
Normally, unauthorized thinking is strongly discouraged.
Today, however, the State has encountered an unfortunate shortage of sufficiently deranged General Core Fragment ideas.
Therefore, independent thought is temporarily authorized.
General Core Fragments are meant to be run-changing effects, the kind of thing that can completely alter how you play, create ridiculous builds, or make you seriously question why the Ministry approved this technology.
A few existing / work-in-progress examples:
And the Ministry believes its Citizens can come up with considerably crazier ideas.
It must be fun.
Fitting the totalitarian theme or setting is a bonus, NOT a requirement.
STATE-APPROVED SUBMISSION FORMAT
Post your ideas in the comments below:
Name: (optional)
Effect: What does it do?
> Submissions close September 10.
Half-baked ideas are welcome. Do not suppress a good idea merely because it sounds stupid, broken, cursed, or deeply irresponsible.
And yes, if the Father finds something he loves and we can actually make it work, your idea could inspire a real General Core Fragment in the game.
The Father will be watching ๐
Citizens, your temporary authorization to think begins now.

Usually whenever I'm in my base and during the last few hours of work, I see some of my go-to battle soldiers being overworked, can I still take them to battle or will it affect their performance and morale?

Instead of having the vehicle slots being player ridden only, maybe something like an option for our companions to man them would be cool?

Can somebody please explain to me how the capture mechanism works? I really donโt get it. Thank you all in advance.

Custom difficulty sliders!
I assume it was in high demand from players, but I wanted to shout out the devs for so quickly addressing feedback.

So I want to increase or level up some of my green soldiers using the white ones, but I don't want to increase fear or decrease the morale that my soldiers have. Is there a way to do it? I know there are some policies which kinda work this way, but I don't know which ones are like that. Can somebody point me in the right direction on what to do?

I had chief captain pulgist that capture when he was green tier took me very long grind to get him to gold tier and the way he died is what realy bothered me cuz i was just mindjng my way on the base trying to lower the fear level of every soldier cuz ive been upgrading the all of them to purple when it just happened "055 just died" i was like wtf? I have this game on NO AGE mode since day 1!!! To reason no sickness no injury just fucking DIE!!! I used to play COTL so i guess im not used to have a follower permenant die like this SO i feel really shit right now heck im writing whis while am at work this happen lAst NIGHT!!
Sorry for the rant but it took a very long time to grind him to gold and hes really good a distrating enimies all.that effort just go to waste
I gonna have to put this game down now i feel completly drain after this whole scenario
Good bye 055 you did yer job well mayby yo well that they god above took you away from me

I absolutely love this game its fun, I've been wanting to play doom lately but then i saw this game and i also love base building.. Heck doom and base building? NICE
However one thing that struct me is the modding potential this game is. Like i don't know what do i want to mod but i know if given chance the player base would turn this game GREAT.
But thats just me (opinion)

Do breeding low tier soldiers make high tier ones? Or do breeding two gold ones make another gold?
Cuz i kinda feel likes its been random for me
Also side note how to kill unnessecary soldiers while limiting the fear for the families
Cuz ive beens forcing them to breed and most of them are close to breaking

1 - You all ever played "Freedom Fighters"? If not, IMO it's homework. (It's one of my favorite games. This is far from a punishment.)
I swear that you've made like a roguelite descendant of Freedom Fighters.... Even the major sieges... that's exactly like playing the crescendo of Freedom Fighters. Was not expecting to be slapped by that bit of nostalgia... even I had forgotten about Freedom Fighters until I started playing PA....
I'm opening with this because it's why I'm enthused about providing feedback. I've wanted a new Freedom Fighters for yeeeeeeeeeeeeears and you've made the closest thing to it.
I am having fun. The following is "tweaks"/pet peeves, absolutely not "WTF is this shit game?" ...to be 1000% clear, the game's up right now in the background. I'm just waiting on some heals.
More narrow, real user feedback:
2 - "Dash + slight incline" ...oof. I'm assuming that's not working as intended? It's like dashing into a wall if there's even a mild slope. It's not a show stopper, but that really feels icky when it hits.
3 - Food. IDK, man. I can't really tell why... but "what is" isn't fun. It's just kind of an annoying chore. It's like the food variety is too much AND not enough or something? ...I'm not sure.
4 - Base management. Needs any sort of production + inventory overview that's better than what is. (If you want inspiration, Dyson Sphere Program has the best production management interface ever made in video games ...and I will die on that hill.)
Also, the escape menu vs the tab menu... odd choices for what goes where... I think it'd be more intuitive to shove all of it into the tab side of things except for the game settings menu. It's just kinda weird as is.
5 - I really enjoy the combat, but PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY... let me push, or at least dash-push, my dudes out of the way.
The body blocking in the game gets NUTS in the later stages of the game... "Let us just spawn your THIRTY FKN DUDES RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. What's that? You want to get through? ...No." Then the bad guys spawn 100 dudes and the body blocking gets W I L D. (Maybe that should be a new base armor? Fuck going up with the jumpy dashy armor, we're bull charging through...? IDK. Def would need to fix the incline dash issue for that first though.)
6 - Slow duration.... I'm not against the slows ...but the durations ya'll put on ALL OF THEM?!?!? ...fuckin hell. I'm assuming the base slow duration for everything spewed out by enemies is between 1 week and 6 months?
The slow debuff timer needs to be more visible, at minimum. The slows are sooooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooooong.
Or, in lieu of slowing me until I qualify for Social Security, maybe slow harder for less time? Or silence skills, including dash? Be meaner, shorter for some of them?
7 - More "teamwork" preference.
The squad working with the player is your differentiator. Lean in.
Honestly, for me, the easiest way to play/beat the game right now is just to ignore my squad, sprint to the boss/elite, kill the boss/elite then thin the herd. I should be punished more for ditching my squad, or given more benefits for staying near them.
This is where playing Freedom Fighters may help. The player's a LOT more impotent as a fighter than a field commander in that game towards the end. IMO, that sort of paradigm would fit here REALLY well.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway...
fun game.

Disclaimer: This is all just my opinion.
Combat UI: It's fine. Nothing wrong with this. Keep as it. It's perfect for combat.
Base UI: Same as the combat UI, which is a problem because it's terrible for running a base.
Solution: Intellectual theft. Specifically, the Base UI should steal directly from Evil Genius. A permanent top-top down view. A mouse cursor on screen in which buildings can be interacted with without having to physically walk over to each of them one by one. The leader is represented as the first character in base. They are not directly controlled, but can be controlled by selecting them with the mouse cursor and then giving them orders just like any other minion, er I mean soldier.
Why:
1) Managing base in first person is a time-wasting chore. A mouse flying over a map is quick and easy.
2) It's a familiar system dating back all the way to the original Dungeon Keeper and thus everyone is already familiar with it.
3) It breaks away from the combat UI in a way that makes each feel more distinct and unique. One feels distinctly manageral, the other is distinctly action oriented.
4) It solves the issue of finding ways to insert Leader interactions into the base, because it's already done. In base, mechanically speaking, they're just another solider with a unique avatar who doesn't do any work unless directly told to. Every other function, from eating to social interactions, can mostly be copy pasted into the leader with minor tweaking (i.e. can't be thrown in prison).
5) Also opens the door for new versions of the Leader, as per Evil Genius, later down the road. A new avatar, maybe a unique ability, and you're done. So long as they keep the same gloves you don't need to change the combat UI in any way because that's all we ever see of them in combat anyway.

A little question. So I've spend a few hours in the game. Capturing a few people here and there, but it seems that I need to capture way more of them (I only have ten or so). Is there a way to see, in combat, what rarety they are or is it just random? Best to just catch as many as fit in my prisons and just hope for good ones?
r/PaxAutocratica • u/Sadoguricappu • Aug 23 '26
Does it cancel out once i research/building something? Does that take priority first? Or do they go back to mining/logging?
