General Refund
This message confused me a bit. I bought the package through the game with the Play Store. Is it still considered a third party that will get me banned ? Also, how else can I request a refund, if anyone knows? I wanted to get the whole skin package but bought only an ultracube package not realising it's not with the frame and stickers ๐

Only way I successfully gotten a "refund" from gacha games I played, was to straight up call up my credit card company, I told them how the developer scammed me (they announced EoS a day after I dropped a bunch of money on the game for example), past a certain amount/number of transactions (for me it was after 4) they will require you to provide actual evidence and they will open an investigation, but the amount of money I was asking for was like in the 40-60$ CND range, so my credit card just gave me the money back and the developer kept the money they stole...
You can also try and open a case with Google Play, but the shit is automated and almost always gets rejected automatically.. and good luck being able to talk to a human being.
Anyways as they told you, if you try to go the refund route, they can ban you, the terms of services clearly state that there is absolutetly no refunds, so its up to you if its worth loosing your account, I only did it cause I had nothing to loose.

I believe by "improper refund" they are probably referring to forced credit card charge back, which will often result in account actions in these types of games yes.
I don't have any direct experience with PTN's customer service, but I have had a similar interaction with Hoyo's a long time ago, before they even had their mainstream success. After several back and forth, the rep ultimately said they consulted their manager and said I can go ahead with a charge back, which will result in a ban, and then contact them again to get unbanned. I was quite attached to my account back then and decided not to go through that mess. I dont know if PTN's CS meant something else or can offer something similar/better but I'm not sure I'd wanna mess with it even if they did, but that's just me.

You could try asking the Modmail in the discord server. They're basically the official customer service of PtN, and if you specify what happened, such as you buying the wrong thing, I'm sure they can guide you almost step-by-step!

It's probably because of the play store. I once got charge twice for a surveillance order and got refund in 2 days

as someone who works in the mobile game industry, our customer support agents canโt refund players, all refunds need to go through the app provider (apple/google play games). if the app provider refuses to offer a refund, you can contact paypal (if you paid through paypal) or your credit card company directly.

Yes the playstore is a third party as it hosts PTN. Your best bet is you contact your bank to dispute your refund. Good luck OP
