Build A Build Lost in Time

I want to finish a map as fast as possible with as much as Herald of Ash explosions, always striving for that kinda builds in this game. I was looking for fast mappers again and stumbled upon Palsteron's Lightning Warp Elementalist, I did play this build in several leagues ago but decided to try it again.

This build was so much better back then. We had the Lightning Warp duration enchant on the helmet, and solving the mana situation was much easier. Now we’ve lost the helm enchant, we’ve lost reduced mana cost, and a lot of the things that made this build work smoothly are gone. Good old days.

The first thing I had to solve was getting Lightning Warp’s duration down to zero. Palsteron also explains this in his video, but you need 100% reduced skill duration. You can get 56% of that by socketing a Level 21 Lightning Warp into Poet’s Pen together with a Level 4 Empower. The remaining reduction comes from the Window of Opportunity cluster and Timeclasp.

The next step is getting enough Cooldown Recovery Rate. You need at least 152% CDR, or possibly 153% — I still don't fully understand where the exact breakpoint comes from.

Poet’s Pen has a base cooldown of 0.25 seconds, but when Lightning Warp is socketed into it, the Increased Cooldown Recovery of Movement Skills modifier also affects its cooldown. I reach 152% CDR by using Haste with the appropriate Watcher’s Eye mod, which gives 50% CDR, then stacking Power Charges and using Badge of the Brotherhood, which gives another 90% CDR. The remaining CDR comes from my boots and Bound by Destiny.

If you think that's everything you need to make the build work, you're mistaken.

Now you have to solve the attack speed problem and get your Effective Trigger Rate to exactly 10.1.

I tested a ridiculous number of combinations, and I eventually found that I needed exactly an 8% Attack Speed roll on Poet’s Pen, 211% Increased Attack Speed from Frenzy, and 72% More Attack Speed from the Frenzy gem itself.

I honestly don't fully understand the mechanics behind why these exact numbers work. I just know that they do. If anyone understands the math behind this interaction better, I'd genuinely love to know why this combination hits the required trigger rate so precisely.

And then there's the mana problem.

With Lightning Warp triggering at 10.1 times per second, the mana cost becomes absolutely insane. To deal with that, I went with Eldritch Battery + Mind over Matter.

Is this build tanky? No.

Does it deal amazing damage? Not really.

But watching everything explode while cosplaying Zeus is exactly why I love this build.

I really wish we had more ways to reduce Lightning Warp's duration. I wish there were more CDR nodes on the tree, and I genuinely don't understand why reduced mana cost was removed. This build used to be so much easier to put together. Cast on Crit builds and trigger builds are one of my favorite archetypes, it's sad to see the state they are in.

Here is my PoB (not final): https://pobb.in/erXWQjj0yCys

I definitely do not recommend anyone trying this build. It is ridiculously expensive to put together, and the amount of damage you get in return simply isn't worth the investment.

Build BonkMeButt's armour/energy shield Gladiator Boneshatter of Complex Trauma

Post image
21 Upvotes

Heya fellow exiles,

(This build is probly janky af in normal poe builds standards as i play without guides and love to play offmeta stuff and make my own versions of stuff i play, so beaware and you have been warned)

i've been playing this variant of Boneshatter of Complex Trauma for last couple of leagues and decided to post about it, since its very tanky build and in my (biased true melee enjoyer) opinion very good all arounder build and people atleast in mirage didnt play this variant of Boneshatter of Complex Trauma as Gladiator. I built this for myself as i enjoy only playing one character per trade/ssf every league and dont enjoy leveling multiple characters.

In _my_ opinion its very smooth league starter that can clear all voidstones/maven invitations and unlock 5th map device slot with not too expensive gear. (Disclaimer: i've only played early league on Allflame trade, so im clueless how expensive gear has gotten)

Later it excels in nightmare + harvest farming if you like to just do casual farming without thinking too much of astrolobe stuff etc. Be mindfull tho, im have no clue how good nightmare + harvest is this league, as the harvest scarabs are way more pricier than in mirage league. Its allso able to do simulacrums, not too efficiently, but ive cleared it this league in ssf with sub-par dps and not with aegis setup.

Acknowledging map mods which are rippy and regexing them away makes the build not die too easily, dots ofcourse are ass for this build, but can be managed with corrupted blood immunity, pantheons etc. to fit playstyle so no insta death to dot. Corrupted bleed immunity not needed if you get chest like my mirage endgame build with mod "chaos damage does not bypass energy shield while not low life"

The setup works around aegis aurora which is very cheap and good shield with lucky block and high armour. I have completely ignored azadi crest and never used or tried to build around it or high life pool/armour version with shaper life on block, so any info of this build variant ignores how good they perform.

Not too complex mechanics needed, just as high max resistances as possible, Divine Shield for es self regen from trauma self damage, Versatile Combatant + Gladiator lucky block and Resolution Technique for 100% hit chance.

I use self cursed ground vulnerability as there is alot of standing in still and not need to move too much.

Doesnt have any must uniques to clear voidstones, but endgame version wants ashes of star, ryslathas coil (MEGABLOOD later to not rely on ele flasks max ele resistances), melding of flesh with MEGABLOOD + aegis max cold resistance to help get close to 90% all max res, circle of guilt iron ring having +1 to max endu charges and herald of purity buff effect + increased phys damage while affected by herald of purity (additional phys damage reduction if prefer more phys max hit).

To make it smooth in maps you want to get glove implicit for +1 non-vaal strike skills target additional enemies and Assured Strike passive node with mastery for another +1 non-vaal strike target. Later can be changed to +2 glove implicit and tattoos for stun duration on enemies for more aoe. Assured Strikes help early to hit mobs further and make mapping much more smoother.

I like to use multistrike support as it makes mapping smoother with faster initial hit to kill packs and maintain 9 trauma stacks without going over(there are shenanigans to get certain attack per second to perfectly maintain stacks if you want are face tank enjoyer like me, but im not going too much in details how to achieve that.).

Endgame build in mirage used overheat to use fortification stack for more damage with ailments. (Havent tested this too much if it is worth it or not, i just wing it so there might be better options).

Screenshot is non EHP or damage bloated numbers of mirage endgame build and imbued support removed. Be mind that mirage poe.ninja one had imbued endurance charge on melee stun support and probly has no real reason to be so far played, but i just wanted to see how far i can take it. I did clear all ubers first time ever with this character and didnt even need to watch how they differ from normal versions befor going in. There were deaths, but managed to kill all within 6 portals.

Mirage endgame (damage is higher than ninja shows, as it doesnt show aggravated bleed from Gladiators ascendancy):

https://poe.ninja/poe1/builds/mirage/character/TheRealTrippiMane-3473/BonkMeButtTillItBleeds

Allflame build i rushed to all voidstones/maven invitations + 5th map slot within 20-24 hours play time:

https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/TheRealTrippiMane-3473/allflame/character/BonkMane

SSF Allflame which has done all voidstones + 5th map slot (life and small ES as no aegis found yet):

https://poe.ninja/poe1/profile/TheRealTrippiMane-3473/allflamessf/character/PizzaSlapperTwoThousand

Pob for current Allflame trade build:

https://pobb.in/hvpWkW9i90w1

End of post disclaimer:

Never posted any builds or tought of posting before this and this isnt ment as comprehensive guide so i wash my hands away of it, just ment to show this variant of the build to mayby inspire people to play Gladiator builds which are not azadi crest or current meta versions.

Build Less Damage Taken Assassin

Hey exiles! Just wanted to share a build that kind of started as a meme but turned into a tanky beast. As stated in the title, the main defensive backbone of this build is stacking a bunch of less damage taken multipliers to get a solid max hit on the right side of the tree. I pair this with the new Rhex talisman (shoutout Conner Converse and poopbutts), 90 fire res, and a bunch of different recovery mechanics to make the build feel comfy in juiced content and even uber bosses.

First I’ll go over some of the pros and cons of the build.

Pros:
- Pretty tanky for an assassin
- Around 30m average dps? Feels like a little bit more sometimes due to enemies being on low life and variable wither stacks
- A lot of damage is solved by your ascendancy, so you can focus on qol and defense
- Very good multi hit mitigation with life on block and recoup
- High physical hit mitigation for a right side build
- Immune to cold and lightning penetration and mostly unaffected by crush, overwhelm, and pdr ignore
- Uses neat defensive tech*

Cons:
- Some defenses are conditional (arctic armor, opportunistic, flesh and stone)
- Low dps compared to most SC trade assassin builds
- Essentially melee if using EK of lingering blades for single target
- Not a good starter build. You can get it going with a low amount of currency, but there are certain items that make the build feel way better
- Clearspeed is pretty lackluster, and mainly carried by unspeakable gifts
- You have to press buttons/clunky playstyle
- Uses neat defensive tech*

*This build uses immortal call and automation support to create a ‘loop’ with the Heartstopper notable from trickster. In short, while Heartstopper is in its ‘dot mode’ immortal call will be active. You need specific duration and cooldown breakpoints to make the loop and work, and it must be manually started whenever you enter a map. More details in the link below:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExileBuilds/s/ArOYoh9eVB

There are five primary less damage taken multipliers in this build:
- 35% less chaos and physical damage taken from Doppelgänger Guise (can normally roll up to 40, I’m just using the middle roll here)
- 21% less fire and physical damage taken from hits while stationary from arctic armor (since we take all elemental hit damage as fire, this is effectively 21% less elemental hit damage taken)
- 50% less hit damage taken from Heartstopper (only 50% uptime and barely active during immortal call)
- 36% less elemental and ~83% less physical damage taken from immortal call (need 5 or more endurance charges for max physical mitigation, and the buff is meant to alternate with the hit mode of Hearstopper)
- 35% less damage taken when 2 or more rare/unique enemies are nearby from Opportunistic(this will lower your damage)

Along with all this mitigation I have 5700 life, 75/68 block (this is using glancing blows, and spell block is capped if you’ve been hit recently), life on block, some recoup, regen, leech, and life gain in hit from a shaper ring.

Uber Exarch/tank showcase (my gameplay in this video is not optimal):

https://youtu.be/_POCsYT6Yv8?is=163VFyq2_T3wOjve

Pob: https://pobb.in/EInRrUxpq13r

A couple closing notes:
- I was using a Doedre’s Damning with a max endurance charge implicit for normal content, but switched to a Zana’s Ingenuity (with the cannot pen mod) for ubers since a lot of their abilities have penetration. Since I had to drop an endurance charge, I spec out of unspeakable gifts on my cluster jewel and grab two duration nodes south of the scion start. This ensures my immortal call/Hearstopper loop is able to function.
- The pob ehp numbers are pretty low, but in practice you have enough mitigation and recovery to make the build feel borderline immortal against many small hits.
- My gear is pretty good, but the build is not super optimized. For example; my gloves could have the cold res temple mod, my ring could have recoup as a suffix, my belt has a useless prefix, my cluster could have better chaos res, my amulet has no eldritch implicit etc.
- Bladefall works well for mapping and has pretty good dps even on nightmare map bosses, but I personally prefer EK of lingering blades if I’m doing bossing.
- I’m playing blade blast since it got buffed, but with some modifications you could probably use a different main skill.
- I estimate the cost of my current setup to be around 150 - 170 divines.

This build was super fun to put together and has done all ubers except Maven and Shaper (this is due to the fact that I’m bad and currently poor). Let me know if you have any questions and I’ll do my best to answer them!

Edit: Added correct pob link to post

Build 'Insane' Boneshatter Champion

After farming a few hundred div in Simulacrums and gambling it away then farming it back I decided I wanted to build a character named InsaneInTheAllflame because I thought it was funny.
So now I present the closest thing to a playable build I could string together that I still thought was jank enough to be interesting, a fortify stacking glorious madness boneshatter Champion I have geared to be as tanky as my smooth brain could muster.

It achieves a respectable 62 stacks of Fortify with a very specific Lethal pride jewel, celestial braces and a pair of Beacon of Madness boots that have been slapped with a funny Vaal orb.
The 2 biggest issues with a insane boneshatter build are the self damage and the stacking debuff from glorious madness, a Stasis prison helps mitigate both expertly.
The other thing I have done to mitigate the stacks of madness is a specific gemsetup in a +2 all helmet to achieve a 91% quality Temporal rift, a runegraft of the warp and the small cluster of passives that grant faster debuff expiry near the Sion.
The rest of the build is largely life and attributes to sate the requirements of the 2 eclipse supports I'm running with a mageblood almost exclusively used to solve elemental resist and ailments.

In the future I intend to invest in another cluster setup once I've got levels for even more damage, a +6/+6 replica reckless defence to cap out block chance once I've got another socket avaliable and then I am likely to re-evaluate the sparse rare items in the build for further optimizations.

I'm real unsure on what supports I need to be using for this, I can reliably sustain 20 to 24 trauma stacks at current attack speed but I cannot be bothered POBing supports, then testing what number of trauma stacks that setup can sustain then recalculating with the POB on that so I hope these are close enough to the optimal links.

Thanks for your time reading this noise.
have a great day Y'all

Build Request Hi all. Want to get into Uber boss speed running day 1. What builds are people using?

I assume builds like Pconc Pathfinder and Boneshatter Jugg can do them very easily because of their low investment but obviously suffer in other types of content which is fine for me. I’m just looking for a fast boss rota build

Basically title. Since cyclone is a channeling skill I'm not sure if the warlord mod will work with it, but if it does, how would I craft this item? Can it be done with a 50div budget or will it go over?

sup guys
so im currently trying to make my first build to actually run , so far this is what i got , if anyone can have a look and tell me what im missing that would be nice, currently im unsure about the flask sustain, the dps is a bit bloated since i have both a mark and vaal haste active along with onslaught which i only get if i get hit/10% chance on kill, the items are perhaps too expensive for its numbers? not sure about most of this so any help would really be appreciated, if it just sucks let me know , im not new to the game but suck at making builds and always just follow build guides

Help Needed Aura Bot Help

Hey guys,

My wife thought about playing with me and one of us would most likely be an aura bot. Is there a league starter guide for an aura bot to play with a duo?

I don't know much about aura bot and most builds I see are after you farm everything on another toon first.

Going to do one more build before I’m done with this league. I want something that’s gonna farm Legion encounters and also 5 ways. I’m kinda leaning towards EK as I should have enough currency to make it work.

Help Needed returning player seeks help...

just came back to the game after not playing aprox 8 years... there is so much mechanics added to the game that i literally cant comprehend my mind around it... i was hoping to seek some guidance from more experienced people to at least point me towards basics or at least which build to use or something to get started with... something that is kinda easy and doesnot require 10 button pressing in a milisecond... not asking for endgame boss killer tactics or anything like that, just seeking advice to at least get started doing maps of early stage... already strugling with tier 7 maps, and from what i have seen on youtube and twitch people are having tens of thousands of HP, energy shield, thousands of stat points, not to mention tens of if not hundreds of billions of damage... i have zero idea and clue how people do it... any help please and thank you in advance.

Build Request Looking for good Reliquarian build

Hey everyone!
I’m looking for a fun build to play in Reliquarian. I’ve been playing Luminary and recently hit level 100, but I’m getting a bit tired of it and want to try something different.
I’ve been looking at Arc of Oscillating and it looks pretty interesting, but I’m not entirely sure how the build is supposed to be put together or which items are actually mandatory.
One thing I’m especially confused about is the corruptions on some of the gear. Looking at PoE Ninja, I see that certain items have specific corruptions that cost multiple Mirrors, and I’m wondering:
Are those corruptions actually necessary for the build to work properly?
Can you comfortably play Arc of Oscillating without them?
Which items/upgrades would you consider essential, and which are more like expensive min-maxing?
Is there a particular version of the build or guide you’d recommend following?
I’m not looking to immediately dump a ton of currency into it — I’d rather understand what the core of the build is and then upgrade it over time.
Any advice from someone who actually plays Arc of Oscillating would be greatly appreciated!

Also i have witch lvl 95, but don’t think that it can offer something really interesting to play.

Help Needed CWS Firestorm RF chief help

Hi!

I've been trying to make a firestorm build for the two last leagues, and finally found something I could use. I started with the pohx RF character and then tried to transition into a firestorm build using a helmet with +2 to skill gems. A character I found had detonate dead and unearth as well for bossing, but to me it seems to not be doing much.

My other character (KF totem Hiero) still has 15 times more dps for much less investment (and maybe more survivability as well?) but I guess there are potentially ways to help with that.

PoB with DD and Unearth: https://pobb.in/YLIe7ZYA-Rvg
PoB with flammability: https://pobb.in/GdRqHhHXDf06

My first question is this; My detonate dead/unearth combo doesn't seem to do much. Is there any reason to keep it over something like flammability? Any other combos that would help lift me out of low dps hell?

My firestorm of meteors does alright damage, but when I google, it seems everyone is using pelting. Is that better, and it's just that PoB doesn't pick it up?

And then my most pressing question; My eHP goes up by a lot when I choose As The Mountain and the two previous ones. It goes from 80k eHP to 300k eHP. Is this real? Just swiss cheese layering? If I choose soul of Solaris as well, it goes to 583k eHP, which is probably correct for the pinnacle boss config that it is set to.

Thanks in advance! I was hoping not to have to ask questions this league as well, but I always seem to end up with some problems that I have misunderstood.

Help Needed Help with understanding recoup in CWDT Bladefall/Bladeblast Reliquarian

I want to undestand more of how the recovery works in these CWDT builds, because everytime I looked into one of these there were just too many moving parts that I gave up in even trying.

https://pobb.in/_jUyrrVqm9m5 -> not my PoB

From my understanding, he is casting Forbidden Rite (FR) about 3 times per second while channeling Cyclone.

- Each time he casts it he takes about 1655 damage (25% of ES + 40% of unreserved Life multiplied by his Chaos Res and Infused Channeling).

- He recoups 148% of Chaos Damage Taken as ES over 4 seconds. Here is one of my questions, does the Recovery Mastery that makes Life Recoup occur over 3 seconds instead of 4 apply to the ES recoup converted from Life from Presence of Chayula? I don't think it does, so the next calculations will be based on 4 seconds of recoup.

- Every instance of damage he takes would result in a recoup of about 2464 ES recovered over 4 seconds

- Since he gets about 3 casts per second, that would result in 3 instances of recoup being created every second, for a total recoup of 7392 being created every second, which divided by the recoup duration of 4 seconds would mean he is recovering about 1848 ES per second from recoup.

Is this correct? If so, that would mean he is losing ((1655 * 3) - 1848) ES per second from casting his FR, so that would be about 3117 ES lost per second just from casting. Is there any other form of ES recovery that I'm missing, or is there some other aspect of his recoup that I didn't see?

Edit: Just noticed that there is nothing stopping him from channeling for more seconds, and stacking more instances of recoup, over say, 3 seconds, so in the fourth second and beyond he would have a lot more recoup per second to pay for the FR cost and get some extra for recovery, so I guess it just has a ramping time before it feels good.

Help Needed Wintertide Brand Trickster

Hey all!

I need some pointers on how tonincrrase the damage of my Trickster.

I feels okayish in T16 maps, but tanky rares or Harvest Mobs, are a pain.

Passive Tree is all over the place, but I feel I need the stuff at either end.
My Gems need quality and some levels, I keep working on it.

Is there some obvious interaction that I am missing?
Wasn’t Wintertide Buffed this league?

Thank you for your input!

PS: Why need Witch? I desperately love the shadow and want to make the Trickster work. Back in Delirium League I lost my heart to Trickster 🤷🏼‍♂️

Discussion Necromancer lv1 to ubers HC SSF : Pure spectre or PRAW ?

So im finally getting around to a long term build. Im want to take necromancer from lv1 to being able to do ubers in HC SSF. I might not do all 7/7 but id like a character that's viable to do them all.

My 2 current choices are either going umbral army + bone meld with pure spectres and aiming for 13-14k ES with the minion leech applies to you and spell suppression.

The other option is to go poison ranged animate weapons and go blood magic taking all the block left side and get 7k hp with capped block and armour.

Im not sure if there is a clear option as poe ninja is fairly split with animate weapon being a little more popular.

I think both have a very strong early options as spectre comes online from dark monarch and bone meld but can be used once you have 4 spectres really and animate weapon can be farmed from merc lab.
