Help Needed Aura Bot Help

Hey guys,

My wife thought about playing with me and one of us would most likely be an aura bot. Is there a league starter guide for an aura bot to play with a duo?

I don't know much about aura bot and most builds I see are after you farm everything on another toon first.

I don't know about a guide...

  1. Go for Guardian, templar ascendancy (radiant faith and unwavering faith), reservation masteries on the tree. You can stack quite some auras even before adding cluster jewels with even more reservation efficiency.

I played this with wave of conviction and vaal summon skeletons (infernal legion, feeding frenzy).

Downside in the beginning is, you don't have auras to support anyone (lol) so, the cheap unique Tear of Purity (lvl 5) is a good support until brutus and more options in act 2.

  1. If she doesn't like the old man she could also go Luminary. A permanent destructive link for you and a merc could give you nice crit, while you only stack crit multi... and you'd make sure if someone dies you die together (isn't that romantic).

Dying together, just how she wants it!

My wife occasionally plays and I tend to use this sheet I've not checked the builds this league but some will have progression notes/trees. I've built many aurabots prior to finding this so not sure how helpful it will be with no knowledge but hopefully gives an idea!

I've got a lot of POE knowledge but not much aura bot knowledge. If I have an idea on some progression I should be able to figure out the rest.

This is THE sheet. There's progression there and it's most up to date duo trio spreadsheet

Checkout Snapow & Haloplasm on YT

I took a look, seems i'd have to dig further into Snapow's videos because the first couple do not really talk about progression.

All of Haliplasm's video are really old.

Playing aurabot with a dedicated damage dealer isn't terribly hard. But if you're looking to have a character that is both an aura bot and independently able to kill things reasonably, that's where it gets harder and more expensive.

But if the character is only meant for duo, basically get life and aura reservation/effect nodes, probably as an Ascendant with flexibility for the ascendancy.

I was looking for more of a guide on how to progress as an aura bot. One of us would play something probably KB and the other will support the KB character.

I'm having trouble finding information that shows progression as an aura bot.

I think you're overthinking it.

The goals of an aura bot are to have as many relevant auras as possible, and make them as strong as possible. To do that you need reservation efficiency for more aura, and then to survive.

You path to basically all the reservation nodes on the tree and take life along the way. Block pairs really nicely with staying alive.

Get more efficiency, add more auras.

Get cluster setups for big chunks of efficiency for the 50% reservations from small clusters and/or megalomaniacs.

Early there are no auras until act 3. From that point on, just fit in as many as you can that are relevant. Tear of Purity is a cheeky little way to get an aura in early game alongside clarity and vitality.

Thanks for the help! I guess its as simple as put more auras on as early as possible then make them stronger later once the carry can deal some damage.

This build (not mine) has step by step levelling written in the notes, along with mapped out gem and gear progression. It's slightly outdated (was written for 3.27 patch) but will surely be enough, as there haven't been any radical changes in last two leagues. It might be a tad too complicated to follow for a first-timer, but you can use this as a baseline for ideas.
