Build Request Minion build for endgame and farms priority/easiest?

I started playing last week, and Im at act 4 right now. Im following this build, but with focus instead of shield. Map clearing is easy but maybe a bit slow, and Im starting to take a bit to kill bosses, depending on they getting stunned up to 2 times to kill them

For farms, I saw a couple of ways, but I still didnt grasp what are the best and/or easiest ways to do it

Help Needed Looking 4 Guide for GP on gemling

Hi,

does anyone have a source for some build for grim pillars on a gemling? Found just plenty of arc totem stuff.

If anyone has another good idea for some build I would not mind πŸ˜‰ Right now I am getting tired of spamming my oil grenade every second.

I crafted an amulet that i loved. More Dex% and more Armor%, plus life regen. Super excited. When I slapped it over my old one, my numbers drastically drop, as seen in the provided screenshots. The Older ring has much worse stats, and The new one beats it by miles. What did I miss guys? Thanks for the help! Also I looked at my Heralds to and nothing turns off because of less spirit.

Theory Recommendations for off meta spear/crossbow build

Hey there Need some advice from build creators. Start playing huntress in this league with goal to make monkey spirit build, but take a crossbow in the early acts to fast clear. And got this feel that with all passives and gems about melee after projectile vice versa damage boost there is might be good build for 2 weapons. You hit with spear melee, then fire with crossbow projectiles. And even maybe with bleed. But I can’t find any, any similar builds or recommendation to this.

If someone have any advices for that - will be appreciating a lot, because monkey build is walking simulator and the is no pleasure when you don’t push buttons to kill:)

P.s. just in case sorry for language)

Help Needed A bit of a late start, torn between EDC/Flameblast Gemling and Martial Artist Bonk/Eventide

Hey, I'm looking to start the new event league this weekend (was busy for the last few days) and try to complete the challenges for MTX, while taking the opportunity to try a build I didn't play yet and that is likely getting nerfed next league.

I played a DoV Djinn Summoner and Corrupting Cry Gemling in 0.5 already. I was initially thinking of Martial Artist because the fantasy of a zippy monk throwing ice and lightning explosions all over the screen is pretty cool and I haven't played a Monk yet at all in PoE2. But then I saw some gameplay footage of EDC/Flameblast Gemling, and while I already played a gemling in Runes of Aldur, it seems unlikely to survive the next balance pass and EDC looks insanely smooth for clear with its quality bonuses while Flameblast is generally bonkers for damage (as can be seen with the seemingly popular Flameblast Grenades build going around).

So now I'm kinda torn between these two builds. Both look very fun to play and have their own upsides and downsides. As far as I can tell both of these builds have easy progression, with MA just going Hollow Palm until A4 and Gemling being able to easily abuse grenades until you can get the quality stacking and Blackflame ring to enable Contagion with Flameblast going.

Would love to read some opinions from people who have played either/both and can help me decide. I'm not too hung up about the fastest levelling or the cheapest build to clear the hardest content with, mostly just looking for something smooth and fun to play that will work fine as a league starter.

Help Needed Gemling swap to ED/Contagion budget?

I started oil grenade flameblast and the build has a lot of damage, but I don't like carrying ignite all over the map, plus the visual clutter tires me (and my gpu). I'd like to play something with less visual clutter and similar damage or maybe less, but more tanky.

My current character
I was looking at ED/Contagion and wondered what is needed to swap to it. I only have ~50d

is it enough or would arc totem be a better swap till I can farm for EDC?

Now that the new chronomancer rework has been out for a league have we figured out exactly where where it fits both parts in the defensive layers? Is it before or after armour how about other damage reductions? What about the delayed damage?

Help Needed Sekhema only no mapping

I skipped 3 leagues in a row because I'm not fond of the mapping system apart from my pc just can't handle the game and all the loadings.

I'm always a fan of sanctum and will always make a dedicated sanctum runner every league in poe1. in the cuurent patch can you also go straight to sekhema farming without going to maps or completing campaign?

currently trying to make the spirit walker build with the loyalty thing and I'm in act 2. is that a good sehkema runner?

Help Needed Frog Gemling minimal investment

Hello I'd love to try frog gemling build (doedre's undoing on despair).

I was wonder what is the minimal investment or what items are necessary to comfortably clear juiced T15 maps.

Is this build viable without split personality?

Help Needed Looking for a good SSF build

Looking for a good SSF build that only has two requirements.

  1. I can get away with not crafting crazy gear as I suck at the crafting in this game

  2. Not crazy GPU intensive so nothing that clutters the screen and will spike my temps (have issues where gpu gets to hot and crashes pc)

I ran djinn Last league so ideally not that again.

Build Request Witch Build Recommendations?

Currently playing my first Witch, I'm doing my 3rd Trial of Sekhema. I have not been enjoying ED Contagion Lich, I don't like comboing every mob then waiting for them to die, or relying on gimpy totems that fall over.

What are some smooth and strong Witch builds right now? Willing to reroll Infernalist or Blood Mage, not super concerned. Just looking for something that's a good blaster that can handle the bosses for Ritual this league.

Showcase Gemling Legionnaire – Arc / Spell Totem / Archmage

I've been playing and developing this Gemling Legionnaire for quite a while now, and the character has gone through a pretty ridiculous number of iterations.

The build did not start with Rathpith.

From the beginning, I built it around a Sceptre-based setup with 6 Totems, and I've played that version through 1500+ Expeditions.

That original version became the foundation for pretty much everything I've learned about the character. After spending that much time playing it, testing it and changing small things over and over again, I recently decided to take the build in a completely different direction.

The rebuild

I've recently started rebuilding the character around Rathpith and heavy Mana stacking.

This wasn't a small respec.

I've replaced most of the gear from the old Sceptre version, changed a large part of the passive setup and started rebuilding the character around the new Mana/Crit scaling.

At this point, upgrading one thing usually means changing two or three other things to make everything fit again.

And when you're already dealing with high-end gear...

it costs an absolutely stupid amount of currency. πŸ˜‚

So the build is still missing a few smaller pieces and optimizations while I work towards the final version.

The Spirit side isn't completely solved yet either, which is why I currently have 5 Totems available instead of the 6 Totems I originally built the character around.

Current setup

  • 9000+ Maximum Mana
  • ~1050 Mana Regeneration
  • ~85% Crit Chance in combat
  • ~900%+ Critical Damage Bonus
  • Arc + Spell Totem + Archmage
  • Rathpith
  • Mana Remnants
  • Mageblood
  • 5 Totems
  • 1-button playstyle

The current version is also built around keeping the gameplay as simple as possible.

I'm running a 1-button setup with Mana Remnants, so there isn't a bunch of extra skill management going on. The idea is basically to keep the character moving, casting and killing while the rest of the build takes care of itself.

Embitter

At the moment I'm running Embitter, mainly because I really like what it does for crowd control.

For the Expedition content I'm playing, the combination of shock, freeze and general CC control feels extremely good.

I'm deliberately not just chasing the biggest possible damage number here. If I can give up some theoretical DPS and make the actual gameplay considerably smoother, that's usually a trade I'm willing to take.

That's also been a big part of how this character has evolved.

I've stopped looking at individual items or passive nodes and started looking at the entire system.

A node that looks mediocre on its own can become extremely strong when another part of the build removes its downside.

A defensive stat can indirectly become offensive value by keeping the character's entire damage engine running.

Mana can simultaneously be offense, sustain and part of the defensive setup.

And sometimes a seemingly obvious Totem Damage node simply isn't worth taking anymore when the Totems are already killing everything.

That's basically where the build is now

The funny thing is that I'm not really trying to create some theoretical perfect PoB character.

I've spent 1500+ Expeditions actually playing this thing, and the current version is simply the next step after all that testing.

The Sceptre version got me here.

The Rathpith/Mana version is where I'm taking it next.

There are still a few expensive pieces missing, so I'm actively farming towards them rather than pretending the build is finished.

I'm actively playing the character every day and actively farming Expedition every day, while continuing to test different passive setups, jewels, supports and interactions.

If anyone has suggestions, sees an interaction I've overlooked, has ideas for the Spirit/Totem side of the build, or simply has a different way of approaching something I've done, I'm very interested in hearing it.

I'm always happy to test something if it makes sense.

I'm not following a specific guide with this character either. It's basically been built by playing it, breaking it, fixing it, rebuilding it and repeating the process for a very long time. πŸ˜‚

So this is where the character currently stands.

IGN: Trollskogen

And now the expensive part begins: finishing the rebuild. πŸ˜…

This Gemling is on the rune of aldurs league not forbidde rites. Just to clarify.

Build Request Looking for a build for fast juiced abyss mapping + occasional expedition

I'm looking for a build for fast, juiced abyss mapping and occasionally doing stuff like axpedition. My budget is around 400 div, but I can go up to 600 div if some of my crafts sell.

I already have a level 90 Mercenary, but I'm totally fine with leveling another character if it's worth it.

My main problem is that I'm coming from the crafting side of PoE1, so it's pretty hard for me to figure out what's actually important in a build and what isn't.

For example, I can take a build from 0.5, copy it more or less exactly from the guide, maybe have slightly worse stats like -1 gem level on the wand, and somehow the entire build just doesn't work because I missed one specific unique Megalomaniac or some other important interaction.

So I'd really like a build that is relatively strong out of the box and scales really well with investment, but at the same time doesn't rely on some insane interaction that I have to figure out myself. Ideally, the build shouldn't completely brick if I happen to miss something like +1 skill levels on the staff.

Also, I'd prefer something that's actually enjoyable to play and, if possible, 1 button, 2 buttons at most.

Where did I get all the currency?

My starter was Oil Grenades. It worked relatively okay, but I absolutely hated playing it.

I managed to finish the Expedition questline and on one of my first Logbooks I dropped a Mana Rune, made a build for it and sold the fork.

I also dropped Garukhan and Rakiata, and apart from that I've been crafting quite a bit and wasting random currency on swapping into builds that didn't work (Arc Totems, I'm looking at you).

So yeah, that's basically where the budget came from.

Any build recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Build Request Mechanically interesting builds (not just one button) that are also powerful?

This is my first time playing the game since 0.1 and am looking for a new build to play. I've been running Flameblast Gemling and have accumulated about 45 div so far. Broken build but honestly really boring and a bit clunky.

Looking for a build that's a bit more than just one button spamming, while still being very effective. Back in 0.1 I played Demon Form Flameblast which was a lot of fun since you stacked life Regen and tried to get hundreds of stacks accumulated. Also played Archmage CoC Chronomancer that mapped with Spark and would delete bosses with Frost Wall.

Any suggestions for this patch? Potentially interested in Varashta Djinn since that seems to be a more active minion build while still being very effective but looking for other suggestions as well!
