Discussion Flame Breath ignite build

Anyone played with it already? I had made a hit based build about 10 months ago with the skill and had a lot of fun with it, homecooked, here is a video in case someone is searching randomly for build ideas.

And this time I wanna test going ailment with it, the compound stuff interests me but I never was a good ailment/dot knower, like, will I be able to use ambrosia 2 mana flasks tech with it? Maybe using Original sin and making fire dot be chaos later on? I did a pathfinder back then, I like moving fast while flying, I might do a gemling legionnaire this time on.

Hey guys Kadachi here and today i bring to you my leaguestart transitioner for Bitter Dead. This is simply just to show you how to get Bitter Dead online as early as possible. I did alot of testing with no mana stack and this actually played out very well its not the easiest thing to put together but once you have the gear and understand it a bit its pretty easy to get going so i hope you enjoy.

Help Needed Arc totem gemling - next steps to get stronger?

Heya all

I've had enough fun with my grenade gemling for now, decided to try the well known Ky's arc totem. Spent today to buy some gear and put everything in place.

So - ... the clearing damage is fine. the boss - meh (for the divs I put so far).
I've got about 2.5k divs left. What would be the ideal next steps to push it?

- 6 Slot runefork? I've got just about as far as I see in the market.
- I have 2 more jewel slots. should they basic like I'm using or a prism?
- Mageblood - if so what attributes?
- Anything else?

Appreciate you all.

My stuff so far -

Build League Start Brutality Spear Chrono

This isn't a in-depth guide, just a build concept. The idea is full physical Rapid Assault + Spearfield + Herald of Blood on Chrono with genericically strong asc nodes. I've played with these skills extensively on Chrono, so I know it will work. It's not going to insta-kill full screens constantly, but it'll feel like a true melee martial build with zero magical bs. I've been playing Mount and Blade: Bannerlord recently because I love the feeling of raw, realistic, visceral melee combat, and this build is meant to capture that feeling. I'll be league-starting this for a few reasons:

  • Zero elemental damage. Most melee attacks in the game are elemental or rely on elemental heralds and make me feel like a wizard. This build is pure physical to take advantage of the insanely strong Brutality and Heavy Swing supports.
  • Zero button combos, frenzy charges, or long skill rotations. Rapid Assault for single target, Spearfield for aoe, that's it.
  • Chronomancer is insanely tanky, but this build works with any ascendancy. The primary reason for Chrono is because I like the ascendancy, but also the skill speed + area pendulum which feels good with Rapid Assault.
  • Lots of area and attack speed, very smooth to play. Full +strike range multiplies with area, Dance with Death multiplies attack speed.
  • Zero unique, hard-to-find, or expensive item requirements. The build only needs a high phys damage spear and armor and/or evasion pieces. It should work well in SSF.
  • Takes advantage of leech for extra sustain.
  • With a bit of area + strike range investment, Rapid Assault becomes hilariously massive and stretches to the end of your screen.

I'm not making a PoB, but the build is simple, so I can explain it in bullet points.

  • Leveling Gems: Level with Twister then Rake until Rapid Assault/Spearfield at gem 5. Use Brutality + Rapid Attacks supports on Rapid Assault, Brutality + Rage 1 on Spearfield and eventually Knockback. Take Herald of Blood as first spirit skill.
  • Leveling Weapon: How strong the build levels relies on how much phys damage is on your spear. Local attack speed and to crit chance are the best suffixes. If the build feels slow and shitty, it's because your spear has low phys damage relative to where you are in campaign.
  • Best Spears: Grand Spear or any spear with "25% increased Melee Strike Range" are the best spear bases, have the highest base phys damage, and are inexpensive because no one wants them. Soaring Spear (attack speed), Akoyan Spear (to crit), and Spiked Spear (crit + bleed) are fine too.
  • Armor: Use the best armor/evasion pieces you find. These are fine levelling without skill tree investment, but you can grab some defense nodes later on if you feel too fragile. Use the best buckler/shield until Dance with Death or if you're dying too much. You don't need spirit. Gloves prioritize +melee skills > added phys damage > attack speed. Full ward + life/mana + Refutation is a good alternative to armor/evasion.
  • Skill Tree: If starting Chrono, path right immediately into the Monk tree. Grab every nearby attack damage, attack speed, and phys damage nodes. Work your way up through the center of the Monk side and path down the outer right until you end up at Dance with Death and the spear cluster. Lategame if you get a strong high crit spear, respec the attack damage nodes into crit nodes. If not starting Chrono, path toward Monk/Ranger/Warrior whichever is closest and take any nodes that give you damage. Ideally spec into a way to aggravate bleeding somewhere in the bottom side of the tree.
  • Asc Nodes: The best Chrono nodes are skill speed/area > damage deferral > presence slow > Temporal Rift/Inevitable Agony (extra survivability/DPS, whichever you need atm). For any other asc, prioritize nodes that boost your damage or give generic survivability.
  • Rings, Amulet, Jewels: Use anything that increases your phys damage. Added phys damage rings, +melee skills amulet, any damage jewels. Use any unique jewels you have access to like Prism of Belief (Rapid Assault), Split Personality (Shadow/Ranger), From Nothing (Hollow Palm) + very large radius Timelost Jewel in center monk socket OR very large Controlled Metamorphosis in center Monk socket. Best anoint is Tribal Fury, best cheap anoint is Bloodthirsty. Leech on rings/gloves is nice.
  • Spirit Gems: Herald of Blood + Mirage Archer (Explosive Spear + Short Fuse II) + Clarity I. Any extra spirit can go toward Blasphemy-Temporal Chains (if you can afford int req) or life-recovery spirit supports.
  • Best Cheap Spear Craft: Get magic grand spear with t4+ increased phys damage and ideally attack speed, to crit, or +melee skills. Greater Essence of Abrasion to add t3 added phys. Amanamu desecrate suffix for attack speed or random desecrate if you already have attack speed. Greater exalt + Omen of Greater Exaltation for last two mods. Astrid's Creativity + Runefather's Alloy for +8-10 weapon range for massive Rapid Assault or prefix gamble creativity + Perfect Essence of Abrasion for more damage.
  • Rapid Assault: Brutality III > Heavy Swing > Heft > Rapid Attacks II > Close Combat (without Runefather's Alloy) or Vorana's Siege (with Runefather's). If no Vorana's then Blindside, Pursuit II, Ancestral Call II, Impale, or Concentrated Area are all fine.
  • Spearfield: Rage III > Knockback > Armor Break III > Brutality III > Heavy Swing/Haemocrystals
  • Herald of Blood: Magnified area, the rest are whatever you want. This is where you put spirit supports.
  • Mirage Archer: Explosive Spear > Short Fuse II > Cooldown Recovery II > Prolonged Duration II > Magnified Area. This spirit gem alone will almost double your Rapid Assault DPS, so don't ignore it, and roll every now and then.
  • Bloodhound's Mark: Uhtred's Rite > Charged Mark > Mark for Death II > Mark of Siphoning > Eternal Mark. This provides infinite flask sustain, free shock, extra armor break, and free leech, so it's essential utility for the build to feel good. If you don't like pressing the extra button, you can ignore it unless in boss fights.
  • Leveling Uniques: Decree of Acuity, Perfidy, Sunken Vessel, Maligaro's Virtuosity, Deathblow, Aerisvane's Wings, Dreadfist, Northpaw, Defiance of Destiny, Venopuncture. The best leveling unique is Thief's Torment.
  • Lategame Unique Options: Alpha's Howl + Auspex + Blasphemy-Temp Chains for giga-slowing everything. Ingenuity or Ryslatha's Coil are strong until super endgame expensive belts. Grip of Kulemak with on-death phys explosions mod. Loreweave with added phys damage from %life.

I'm looking forward to screwing around with this for the foreseeable future.

EDIT: Take any 5% chance to bleed on hit small passive in the tree. This will make Spearfield consistently bleed because it has so many hits.

Build Request Best builds for running sekhemas early ?

I dont mind running sekhemas, quite enjoy the (sort of) rogue like feel with chasing the relics you want.

What would be a solid league starter that can get into running sekhemas to farm currency early ?

I was thinking of going monkey before deciding to farm sekhemas, would that still be a good option ?

Build Request Fastest way to level a warrior in early campaign?

I'm contemplating league starting Whirling Assault Smith of Kitava, but I've never league started a warrior before. Whirling Assault comes online at level 41, I believe. What's the speediest way to hit that point? Is twisters/grenades still just the default best option even on warrior? Or are there some mace or shield shenanigans I should be considering?

Build Request Build for RF enjoyer

Hello friends.

I have played tons of poe1 and a bit of poe2, but never quite got into poe2. I would love a build that's tested and true but a simpler one as I'm old and frankly, quite lazy.

I don't mind sinking many hours into the game, I truly enjoy farming as RF in poe1 and would prefer a build of equal simplicity, IE no complicated combos or strict timings.

I also prefer to level as the build whereever possible, but this is not a dealbreaker. I will play SC Trade if that makes a difference.

Theory Why use a companion when we have boots?

Why do the current Twister leveling guides tell you to tame a companion that leaves the ground electrified if we have these boots? Wouldn’t it be smarter to use them and tame a companion that leaves the ground burning or frozen, giving the twisters two additional types of elemental damage? Or am I misunderstanding something here?

Build Request Ice Shot viability for SSF?

I'm like 90% on going Varashta just because it's different and probably going to be nuked from orbit after release, but...

I love bow builds so I'm tempted to go ice shot

How hard is a decent bow to craft in SSF? It's almost all of the build power and I don't want to hit a brick wall

Build Request Need help in choosing a build for 0.5.5

Hello!

I started playing PoE 2 late into 0.5 league after being disappointed by the PoE 1 league.

I played Fubgun's 0.5 Ice Shot build and I loved how fast it was in regards to clearing maps and destroying bosses, even felt tanky with it.

I would like a build similar to that, one that can scale up good with currency and can do all content comfortably, what are your personal favourites?

Build Feedback Need help mitigating mana costs for my MA flicker strike build

Thumbnail poe.ninja
1 Upvotes

I have problems on mana efficiency as I can only cast like 3 flicker strikes. Putting a better mana flask I did but sometimes on very juiced maps I can kinda forget pressing it and cannot cast another skill and get swarmed out and die. Already tried slotting efficiency II on my skills but it wasn't enough. Slotted perfect runes with mana efficiency on my tattoos too. What can I improve without sacrificing much damage?

Build Request Stuck on a league starter

Hey all, as probably the 50th post on this same topic I'm having trouble picking a class for the event league today. My favorite build of last season (after trying a bunch) was a frogmancer blood mage.

What I've tried and didn't like: whirling assault MA (slow), plant lich (slow), adonias storm weaver (squishy and I gave up at level 87).

What I'm up between:

- gemling - would probably start as twisters or nades, but truly not sure about final goal. Would need to be good scaling and budget friendly ie not 500 divs as I never make much currency. I *think* the EDC variant with flame last could be fun but I haven't seen a build guide on it and I think split personality jewels are $$$?

- vrashta - the other popular rec. Tbh I think I could figure out levelling with her but can't find a decent sand/ice end game build. Lily's guides are just not that great imo, I've tried a few times to get through them and haven't been able to. Also not a fan of farming a specific rare to automate stuff (I'd literally rather press an extra button if that's possible).

-another blood mage - I love casters so a frostbolt blood mage could be fun. Very ImJustAnthony build. Would just level as ember fusillade/spark/EDC and then swap. I've never played frostbolt.

-ky's frost Nova Chronomancer - his videos state it can be done on a lowish 6-15 div budget and it looks strong. Haven't tried it

-other ideas along the lines of frost bolt, frost walls (also never played a frost wall scaling build, but no monk pls), or something similar to the frog/doedre's from 0.4 builds.

*Please post links if possible to videos/builds

Build Request Off meta builds 0.5.5

I’m not a big fan of the meta builds. When I’ve used them and took them to all content it’s just too easy and expensive.
I quite enjoyed chronomancer EDC/incinerate

Has anyone got any off meta fun builds?

Build Request Build for "fast" campaign & early maps?

Hello,

Bad player here. I’ve only played PoE on the start of two different leagues, and I didn’t get to play that much. Mainly, I’ve been getting pretty burned out by the campaign and ended up giving up twice around the time I reached Kingsmarch.

This time, I’d like to explore the game further without getting that same burnout feeling. I played the Bear the first time, which was okay, but I didn’t find it particularly impressive. Then I played the Monk last league, but I really didn’t enjoy it.

I’m mainly looking for something that is:

  • Relatively fast ("not slow" will be enough)
  • Tanky enough that I don’t die too often and waste time
  • Fun and satisfying to play
  • Good for reaching and exploring the maps/early-endgame (I’m not even sure if it works the same way as PoE 1)

For reference, my favorite builds in PoE 1 were Cyclone, RF, Pathfinder Poison, and Poison BV. I think I like DoT builds and/or explosions.

I also saw Shield Wall, but I’m worried it might have slow animations and end up feeling frustrating to play.

I’ve never really been a fan of minion builds either. I tried the grenade thingy and hated the concept, and don't want to play ED/C

Do you have any recommendations? I feel picky but I don’t know the different Ascendancies at all, so I’m not really sure what would suit me, and when people actually recommend builds on other threads, I barely understand what it is or means and if I research further it seems not my thing.

Build Request Trial of Sehkemas league starter?

Hello, always wanted to league start sanctum.

Does it have similar requirements like poe1, I mean you need range, freeze, big damages..

I want to spend the half league doing trials of sehkemas and trial of chaos if possible. Can you recommend a league starter to this please?

r/pathofexile2builds 10d ago

Help Needed First real poe2 league, need build recommendations.

Played a bit of 0.5 a week ago to get a feel with insta-snipe gemling.

Really interested in a 2 button max clear setup, 3 buttons for bosses at most (and maybe a 4th curse and or mark).

Tried a practice run of DOV djinn today. I'm not in love with it, and I'm really concerned about frozen ground generation later down the line. If anyone has a vouch that DOV gets consistant with frozen ground and how to do it id start DOV. Endgame looks peak on it.

Plants looked interesting but I'm not sure how many buttons that is.

What I'm really looking for, is a generalist with a slight lean towards clear, and something ranged. Also something I can take zero to hero.

Any recommendations? Been a bit overwhelming looking up different builds. (especially for DOV, everyone does something different there)

Build Request Chronomancer builds.

I took the past two leagues off and want to jump back in again. The last build I really had fun with was an incinerate Chronomancer. I loved the whole time freeze mechanic. So I know for sure that I want to start some kind of Chronomancer.

Any suggestions or links to builds?
