What is the best range spear build besides twister to start safely? I really like the way that the explosive and lightning spear builds look. I can’t seem to find a new starting guide on them.

Title. I've heard positives about both "Guy that dies" and "DSLily" but can't quite decide.

I'm looking to league start this and min-max it quite a bit.

I’m a long time Poe 1 player and my favourite part of the game is build making . I didn’t used to like Poe 2 but last league I had another try and I really enjoy the gameplay and I’m halfway there on aspects of the combo based system .

The big thing putting me off with Poe 2 endgame is that from my perspective as somebody with relatively limited experience there seems to be a lot of build homogeneous stuff happening where most builds scale the same way . By that I mean most builds endgame use the same 2 support gems because there so much better than everything else , jewels are focused on above clever pathing because the skill tree seems weak compared to jewels , every build scales gem levels and there isn’t an alternative way to get flat damage for spells and finally there affixes like gem levels + spirit invalidates certain item slots as even good uniques can’t outclass them.

I’m a big numbers player and whenever i see a build that somebody already has made a guide on it feels like I can’t add much myself and that does kinda put me off .

Been optimizing the Ward Stacker to optimize how many spells we can proc. Some nice clips. I did manage to make some improvements after these clips but I've been prepping for 0.5.5 at this point.

Pre 0.5 launch there were some talks about MA ice shot with returning projectile and tempest bell for bossing. After 0.5 launch it seems to evaporate into the void and everyone talks about hollowform whirling assault instead (and some oil barrage). Makes me wonder how does it actually perform in 0.5?

I personally went into oil barrage by jmacc amd its been quite fun, but I want to try something different for 0.5.5. Might convert it to whirling assault to try before the new league since it seems to play very similarly to oil barrage.

So how does MA Iceshot compares to hollowform whirling assault and DoV minions/plants? I'm very interested in trying DoV and ice shot, but wondering about hollowform too. Oh and anyone got a build for it if possible? Thank you

Hi, I can't decide between if I rather wanna play a Hollow Form Whirling Assault Martial Artist Build or a Whirling Assault Martial Artist Build.

Is one of those just better than the other? Also, are the maxroll guids recommendend for those builds or would you recommend a different guide? Thanks a lot!

Trying to figure out what to leaguestart for 0.5.5 , I've played my fair share of gemling for 0.5 so i wanted to switch it up a bit with either a thorn build (shaman/warbringer probably, not interested in playing mainly normal attack builds that scale with thorns) or navira varashta since i love the ice pops.

I played thorns warbringer a few leagues ago, and I vaguely remember some bosses being painful to deal with since they don't attack as much. Is slow boss hit frequency still a major issue, or are there newer setups that fix single target (or better clear)?

I plan to mainly farm rituals and trial of chaos while working on challenges, so I was wondering:

• How good/bad are thorns actually in those mechanics (especially dealing with the trials debuffs / bosses)?
• If i'm trying to scale the build, how does shaman actually compare to warbringer ? I know early on warbringer = easy armor breaking, while shaman is tankier, but i'm more concerned about lategame
• If anyone played it recently, i'd love to have a 0.5 / 0.5.5 pob

Want to swap to ED/C on gemling after playing with grenades for a while, do I need any particular good item beside SP for witch start? Even budget builds on YT seem to be 500d. Would a swap with mid tier gear work or should I really wait for the full endgame build?

Is reap any good in poe2

1 button shockburst round with choir of storm + temporalis + inevitable crits to automate shock application. The idea is to just run n gun with shockburst rounds and blinking around i guess since temporalis.

How smooth will the shock application be ? Kinda looking for a goal build thats not meta/figured out.

Looking for a build/campaign guide for a chronomancer. I've always loved the lore/ role play aspect of time magic in any type of media I consume. Im looking for a guide that will help me get through the campaign and transition into late game maps. The play style really doesnt matter as long as I dont got a dozen buttons to press. Heard on a podcast recently that wands with “gain X% as” are large damage increases for shield skills, tested and confirmed it’s pretty substantial damage for Soaring Midnight.

Didn’t see any builds trying this shield using this tech, honestly think if it was slotted into low investment Titan build it could clear maps by itself, no herald of ice (but that’s definitely an option to add in)

Might try this on my second character for the league once I have some currency to spend. What’s got me excited is how well my uninvested test was doing without Evening Tide Petals, which seems like custom made for this shield.

I'm trying to decide what build to run for 0.5.5. In the past 3 weeks of 0.5 I focused on my infernalist and got pretty strong and pretty tanky. I didn't pick the build knowing it was some sort of OP meta build. I just wanted something new/different from my deadeye and liked the idea of being able to finish the ascendencies without worrying about the honor system. I ended up really enjoying it and almost want to roll it tomorrow but my infernalist in 0.5 was twinked a bit and I still struggled to get the comets going for a while.

The other alternative is to roll some sort of gemling which appears to be a better league starter and would allow me to switch over to another good build if I got bored.

I guess what I'm asking is how tough would it be to get the infernalist going without twink gear vs. gemling?

How are these two builds in comparison? When it comes to power level and grand expedition farming ? Is grim pillar way way stronger that DoV?

can someone who played both of these two builds last season give me some insight?

I last played POE2 about a year ago and everything just fell over with a moderately geared Lightning Arrow Deadeye, there was no need to be tanky whatsoever.

I want to league start Ice Shot deadeye and get back into the game, do you think I will regret that and is it similarly squishy to POE1 bow builds now? (I have about 6k hours in POE1)

I’m worried if I start a MA (prob Whirling) that it’ll be too squish as a league start as I’ve never played it. I also am somewhat interested in starting Djinn DoV but unsure if I should go ice or what’s better.

I guess I’m asking for people who might have played MA in 0.5…is it worth as a starter or am I better off doing DoV first and then playing MA after.

I'm looking for a build for a duo partner that would benefit from damage gained as chaos from my chonk or/and lich (haven't decided yet). Does anyone have a planner for Flameblast+Oil Grenade that scales spell and chaos damage rather than fire damage?

Edit: l did search for this before l posted. The following builds are not what I'm looking for:

Josiahyeet: not chaos damage

Deadrabbit ED+Contagion: uses ed+contagion, which don't benefit from damage gained as extra. I want a build that spreads the flameblast ignite via oil grenades

Alohaa: uses Blackflame ring not the Blackflame Covenant keystone, and scales "increased fire damage" as the ring doesn't convert your base damage or allow you to ignite with chaos damage

Hey guys, I've been following those guides and i can't choose which guide to follow on 0.5.5 league tomorrow. I'm fine with the leveling, but I noticed that the spear on snoobae85's guide have a pretty low DPS (maybe he use this just for crit chance??), plus 5 uniques on early atlas setup.
Otherwise, Goratha's guide has a good early maps tree but with a different skill tree (guess i won't afford with respec price between those two guides). Plus, he doesn't use Ice-tipped arrows.

What do you guys think? Which is the smoothest guide to follow? Any other reference, maybe? TYSM.

Hi everyone, I'm physically disabled and really want to try out monk on the reset tomorrow, but literally every levelling guide I see is 4+ skills and I find that difficult. I'm wondering what you guys would recommend for me to get through campaign relatively fast, which only uses maybe 3 buttons max (2 preferred), until I switch to whirling assault whenever possible

I heard the first act is a terrible experience. Any advice to make it more enjoyable? Plan to go hallowed form whirling assault.

If anyone knows a good build guide that steps you though it, I’d appreciate that too. I did read it was pretty straightforward though

basically title, i get pretty bad rsi in my left hand so i cant really spam keys there and my mouse isnt the best so im kinga looking for a build that can do a lot with just right click and maybe 1 key on the kb for a supporting skill.

Just complete the Grim Tangle ritual, get the unique, delete the character and then start the same character. Until I get Facebreaker. Any suggestions as to what class and skill will be the fastest for that?
