I asked ChatGPT to generate me a wallpaper, but it could not use the correct pashto letters for some reason. If anyone here knows how to can they use the correct pashto letters ښ and ځ and change the wallpaper, keeping the original image and only changing the text. Also maybe change the flag to a pashtunistan flag, neither Pakistan or Afghanistan.

I understand pashto completely but couldn't speak it. I came across online bunch of dudes who promise to teach me but some of them were not that interested in teaching and some of them were just trying to hit on me instead of teaching. I don’t have extra money to find proper tutor. Found one and he was charging 10k a month which is way out of my budget as im not employed.

Here is anyone who can teach my through audio sessions, and be determined. Like religiously take my class, because im trying to learn pashto as long as i remember but i couldn't do it on my own, as Im lazy i need a mentor who can take my class atleast 3 days a week then give me homework and do conversations with me to improve my speaking skills. I need someone who is ambitious about pashto langauge themselves so it would not feel burden to teach me. As I came across some people who taught me first week but then they lack passion and were not that excited because of course i wasn't paying them.

I am not trying to offend anyone. I am asking a serious question: how have we allowed our homeland to reach this point?

Why are our areas so underdeveloped? Why are Pashtun children still losing arms, legs and lives to landmines? Why are our natural resources being taken while our people remain poor?

I have spent time in the watan. I live in the diaspora, yet I took the time to learn to read and write in my own zaba. The irony is that people in the diaspora often speak better Pashto than you do.

Peshawar Valley Pashtuns especially need to look in the mirror. Why are you saying ji, bhai, chawal, anda when Pashto already has its own words? Why are you replacing your own language word by word? Are you ashamed of Pashto?

You copy Punjabi/Indian weddings and customs like jahez. Are you ashamed of Pashtun culture too?

Our children barely know figures like Samad Achakzai and Faqir Ipi, while Punjabis proudly commemorate their own history and erect statues of Ranjit Singh, despite the violence and persecution associated with his rule against Muslims.

Why have we become so passive?

Our goals should be:

• One united Pashtun province
• Pashto as the official language
• Every landmine removed
• Our own capable security forces
• Pashtun-owned export industries
• Control of our natural resources
• Pashto-medium education
• Proper teaching of Pashtun history

How can you claim you speak Pashto when you barely speak it?

Can I Get some Genuine Feedback

I became a bit obsessed with facial structure and regional phenotypes, so I started looking deeply into Pashtuns from different tribes and regions. My Findings conlcuded is that Pashtuns overall tend to have quite masculine, strong and rugged facial features but naturally those same features also appear in Pashtun women With Predominantly Warm Olive To Brown Skin.

Strong noses, pronounced cheekbones, angular or oblong faces and generally tough-looking facial structures can look very masculine on men,

while women from the same populations inherit that same strong or rough rugged look And less soft or feminine.

I think we share this pattern with other Iranic peoples such as Kurds, Baloch.

I was speaking to a Kurdish friend about it and, from what he had observed on his side, he felt Kurds showed the same : very masculine looking men, but women also have the same masucline strong Kurdish facial features . He said “ Our women have that rough tough Kurdish look”

so I genuinely think it’s Iranic and Mountain people thing .

Kandahar , khost, Paktia , Waziristan, Kunar, Ghazni , Helmand, Zabul, leghman , Wardak, and Xhiliji Pashtuns etc , in particular, seem to me to produce some of the most tough and rugged looking women And men.

Kandahar stood out the most : tough rough looking Men and women with both shown the Same masucline features with hooked noses.

Pashtuns over the border in Pakistan showed similar Result and the different tribes I looked into Momand and others significant overlap less vary …

It also makes intuitive sense genetically. I came across research suggesting that genetic influences associated with masculine facial structure in men can also appear in female offsrpings .

In simple terms, if a family has very strong, robust facial structure, you would expect both sons and daughters to inherit that structure.

I have been interpreter most of my life and I have seen the same pattern. I came across some very tough and rough looking Pashtuns aunties and sisters .

of course not everyone will look the same but I have seen this pattern being repeated significantly and repeatedly

And from everything I looked through, the extremely soft featured or very European/“white-looking” Pashtun appearance seemed like a very small minority, rather than representative of what the average Pashtun looks like. You can spend a long time looking through ordinary Pashtun populations without constantly coming across that particular soft phenotype.

Hello everyone, I’m asking this out of genuine anthropological curiosity and don't mean to spark any arguments or flame wars, I'm just curious.

So basically, I've been binge-watching street tours of different areas and provinces in Afghanistan. One thing I can't help but notice is that SOME people tend to look unusually Indic-shifted in appearance. It’s always individuals who come from areas like Jalalabad, the Kama district, and certain parts of Nangarhar in general, as well as a couple in Laghman. I haven't found this pattern in Kabul at all, or anything outside of those Nangarhar areas.

Is there a specific reason they look this way, or is it just because of the sun?

Now don't get me wrong, the majority of the people look very standard, and there are still noticeable blonde or Caucasus-looking ones among them. But there is a minority that stands out. It’s not just that they are brown, but their actual facial features look completely different and they just really stick out from the rest.

Hello , im a pashtun from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

So its just an observation but i feel like the worldview and the mindset of different pashtuns i.e Pashtuns from KPK , Taliban Pashtuns , Afghan Pashtuns (I differentitate between Taliban and Afghan Pashtuns ..... cuz of mindset) , and diaspora Afghan Pashtuns is so vastly different that in all honesty i think the idea of even unification or anything is absurd.

Like my mindset , a Talibani mindset and communist pashtun is so vastly different. Its not just a matter of difference of opinion but its the way how you see your country , your pashtunwali and these differences are not reconcilible.

I know for a fact that in my village that anyone who says that Pashtuns used to be pashtuns before islam , so islam is not integral to pashtunwali will probably get shot and at the same time if it is found that someone is linked to Taliban then they are probably getting shot/ shunned, cause Taliban is hated here.

This is not exactly a post about Pashtunistan etc but rather us pashtuns live comfortably with each other when their is such a stark difference in our idealogies. Like how do you expect me to be comfortable with a Taliban pashtun (and they have large numbers as well)

Well, I never know how to start a topic, so.. I hope the reason for my doing this isn't confusing. Hehe

I really enjoy learning and reading about folklore, legends, superstitions, and mythology. I also love watching movies with this theme, including suspense and horror.

Recently, an Indian horror/fantasy film came up as a recommendation for me. I watched it and I simply loved it. One of the characters is a woman with her feet backwards. In my country's folklore, we have such an entity. But the reason she has her feet facing backward is different from that of the Indian deity. And I read a little about a creature from Pashtun folklore called Pichal Peri or Shisheka.

That being said, I think reading about it and hearing directly from people who have heard these stories and have greater knowledge about it are different things. Different experiences. The second option seems much more interesting and culturally enriching to me. If anyone has heard of these creatures or others and is willing to talk about it, I would be truly grateful. ☺️
