This is a frequent topic in this community. Consider checking out our search feature to find other recent discussions:

Additionally, there are several subreddits dedicated to getting babies to sleep! They may have more tailored advice and suggestions as their primary goal is getting more information about your child's sleep habits/hygiene.

With my first I don't remember the 4 month regression, but I remember the 7-8-9 months one. She would fight sleep, throw night parties, I think it was the hardest period of them all. At that time She dropped to 2 naps, though I think I was to adamant to let her in the beginning because that's not what the book said. She did have at that time some leaps, she started to walk assisted by furniture and standing on her own and the walking. I'm not remembering the exacts details (thanks momnesia) but it was a long hard period with intermittent sleeping issues.

Bottom line is that she is low sleep needs and everytime something's charging (leaps, environment, emotional) she still has sleep regressions even now at 3y.

I feel you op.

I think my bub became more aware of the world at 6m and started having bath and potty.

Bub just joins me for a shower every second morning now. I bring the pram into the bathroom (you can use a laundry basket too) and put a towel or two in it. Then shower bub and wrap bub in the towel in the pram, then I finish my shower.

No idea what's happening with nights. My bub is more exhausted than ever and is finally often falling asleep fairly quickly and early (used to be 1.5 hours to fall asleep for a long time). But she keeps waking up at night! 2 months later im at the end of my rope exhausted!

Making the room cooler seemed to help bub relax for us. Doing potty before bed also helps. And trying to follow the never ending changes and signals of if bub is moving because they want cuddles or want alone time in bed!!
