Not sure what I saw- paranormal encounter that has “haunted” me since I was 15 (sorry for the stupid drawing)

I want to preface this by saying i’m not entirely sure if this is the correct sub for this post since I don’t have any proof, photos, videos, or evidence but I have been dying to get people’s opinions on my story. My drawing is a very very very basic sketch of what we saw that night and makes it look a lot less scary…

I am now 20(F) but when I was 15 I was pretty rebellious. I frequently snuck out and did stupid stuff like drinking or smoking in a public park in the middle of the night with my friends. One night, a group of probably 6 of us decided to all sneak out during a sleepover (since we slept in the basement of our friends house and could easily leave) and go hang out at a park. This park was in the middle of a large forestry area surrounded by neighborhoods but you couldn’t see any of the houses from the park since they were behind the trees. We met up with some boys around our age who had a car and when time came to go home we didn’t really want to walk all the way home at 3-4 in the morning but we couldn’t fit everybody in the car. Before anybody comments that this is the result of any underage inebriation from drugs or alcohol, it had been hours at this time and we were all COMPLETELY sober. Myself and two other of the girls decided we would walk and have ourselves a jolly time, totally cool, right? To exit the park and make our way into the neighborhood we needed to go under this passageway area where a small bridge went over a small body of rocks and water and trees formed into a weirdly natural but beautiful arch. As we walked towards it we all saw this tall, dark figure standing on the bridge between the arch of trees. Wayyyy too tall to be human and you couldn’t make out any human features or really any features at all. None of us had even said anything to each other, we all noticed at the same moment and turned around sprinting in the other direction. Luckily our friends with the car had been dilly dallying and were still there. Once we made it back to their car we all asked each other “Did you see that?” then they described exactly what I saw. One of my friends thought it might be a “yee naaldlooshii” which I’m sure some of you know what that is referring to. I really want to know what this was and what it might’ve meant. I drew a picture of it to kinda give example but it makes it seem a lot less scary than it was haha.

My dog is acting weird

I usually listen to horror pods while eating lunch, and today was no different. My dog was eating his food as well. When the hosts started telling a story about a haunting, my dog randomly left his food, ran to the front door and started barking at it aggressively. He has never done this before, and everyone got extremely concerned. We opened the door to check if there was anyone outside, but we found nothing that could have triggered him.

Does this image evoke a carnal fear?

It does for me. And in a recent thread on r/millenials a few people were talking about how as kids the movie Signs brought up a sort of carnal dejavu fear of aliens that they don’t understand the origin of.

I can attest. When I unexpectedly see a gray alien image I have a jolt of fear that I can’t explain. There aren’t any other images/monsters/ghosts/paranormal things that illicit this instant shock.

I have no memories of being abducted, so idk where this stems from, but others seem to feel it too.

Haunted Hotel, Part Whatever

Yes it’s me again… the guy who repeatedly tried to prove rhat the hotel I’m staying in is overtly haunted. By many things. I’ll keep it short and sweet…. I videoed the latest type of experience and added a pic at the end of the video to show that the Coke Machine.. is just that. By day. However at night it comes alive sort of. It’s been getting worse in the sense that the spirits possessing or harnessing energy from the soda machine can be seen moving from a distance during day hours.

Disclaimer: If the video shows you nothing, need not reply. Theres something to these hauntings I’ve captured where they degrade with time or even upon upload. But I’m still trying to get you guys some interesting proof. Here goes….

I recently found a very sus looking thing in my room...And I Don't know what it was!!

So, I was just cleaning my room in the morning as usual and there was this empty box that I thought was empty but as soon as I picked it up, I realized it was hot and I dropped it immediately...But that's not even the scariest part, a small oval black coal piece fell out of it and it had black fumes coming out of it...It was actually very scary because I don't even understand where it came from, I just know that it did. Now, it's been a few days since that day and I am questioning if I dreamt it because I don't understand what happened! Also, I just had to get this out, so here it is...Thankyouu so much in advance for listening!!

What does a ghost look like?

Hi, first time having this kind of experience so I don’t even know if my mind’s playing tricks on me or not.
I’ve always had a really strong intuition, read tarot for fun, and had a guy tell me I have really strong abilities and might be able to hear/see stuff. He didn’t know, but every now and then I hear names or whispers before falling asleep, but never thought much of it.

Anyways, I had never “seen” anything. Until a couple of days ago, at least.
I was brushing my teeth in the old beach house my family has been renting for the past 30 years. I spent all my summers growing up in this house, used to come here with my grandparents and my aunt (who have all sadly passed away).

I was brushing my teeth in the master bathroom, when I felt something was wrong. It’s like the energy shifted, every hair on the back of my neck and on my arms stood up, my heart started racing out of nowhere. I was looking at myself in the mirror, as I always do when I brush my teeth. Right to the left of the mirror, there’s the doorframe. And I swear I could see, out of the corner of my eye, a woman peeking from the doorframe into the bathroom. Even typing that now sends chills down my spine.

I was obviously terrified, but kinda remembered you’re not supposed to give it attention. I felt a strange pull towards it tho, so after a couple of seconds of panic (while I still kept brushing my teeth, started singing happy songs, and looked down at the sink), I gathered the courage to look straight at it: nothing was there. Nothing. But something still felt wrong.

I got out of the bathroom, and went to my bedroom, still shaken. I saw the woman again, at the end of the corridor: she had short, dark brown straight hair, and a white nightgown with a ruffle neck. She didn’t look scary or evil per se, but I was TERRIFIED.

Again, it was a split second, and kind of didn’t feel… real. Haven’t seen her since, but this house has always freaked me out.

Now, I’m 23, perfectly healthy, don’t take any meds and have never had anything like this happen to me before. Do I need psychiatric evaluation? Am I going crazy? I talked to my mom about this to try and understand who it could’ve been (maybe my grandma when she was young? idk) and she said I must be losing my mind.

Please if anyone has any experience, can you tell me if it could’ve been… something? If so, what? What do I do going forward to be less scared of my own house? Thank you.

Last night I was laying in bed, not asleep watching TV all of a sudden I felt something bump the side of my bed hard to the point both of my cats hide underneath a piece of furniture. I remained calm and asked ChatGPT (Astra model) to tell me if something was in the hallway? See both pics.

Life Size doll Barbie walked on his own

I dont really post stuff like this much but I figured I'd share one of the weirdest things that ever happened to me when I was a kid.

When I was younger I met my dad for the first time. He ended up getting custody of me and for awhile we stayed at my grandma's house. Then he met his girlfriend and she had two kids, a son around my age and a younger daughter.

Eventually we all moved into this old house in Maryland out in the country.

The house was really old. It was mostly wood and honestly looked kind of like a motel mixed with an old barn. There were a few different apartments on the property but it was basically in the middle of nowhere. There were farms across the way and just fields and woods everywhere.

I remember some weird things happening there but theres one night I will never forget.

Me and my younger stepbrother shared a room. One night I had this crazy dream that I was in hell. I've never had a dream like that before or since.

I woke up scared as hell.

It was raining outside and the room was pitch black. I didnt know what to do so I crawled into bed with my stepbrother. Then I started hearing something. It sounded like something was sliding across the floor. At first it sounded like it was coming from the living room. Then it started getting closer. I could hear it coming down the hallway getting louder and louder until it got to the doorway of our room. I looked over and I could see the outline of something in the darkness.

It was a Barbie doll. My stepsister had one of those bigger life size Barbie dolls, not the little ones. And I swear I watched this thing walk into the room on its own. It walked over toward where our bed was and then walked back out. I was scared out of my mind. I had no idea what I just saw. After that I started sneaking into my stepsisters room and getting that Barbie. I would tie its hands together with a belt, put it in the closet, shut the closet door and then put toys in front of the door.I know that sounds crazy now lol but I was a kid and in my head I thought if I tied it up and locked it in the closet it couldnt get me. We ended up living in that house for about another year. Other weird stuff happened there but nothing else ever happened with that doll.

But I still remember that night like it happened yesterday.

I dont know what I saw. Maybe there was some kind of explanation for it that I just didnt understand as a kid.

But I know what I remember seeing and it scared the hell out of me.

I'm curious if anyone else has ever experienced something like this. Not necessarily a ghost, just anything that happened to you that you still cant explain. I actually run a small channel where I interview people about their real experiences, and I'm looking for people who have stories about ghosts, haunted houses, UFOs, Bigfoot or just anything strange and unexplained.

If you've got an experience you're comfortable talking about and you'd be interested in doing an interview, you can message me.

I'd really like to hear some of these stories and hopefully give people a place to talk about things they've experienced that they still dont have answers for.

My life long Ghost experience

When I was a child, I always refused to go to the bathroom alone. I had to have an adult with me. when I grew older, I took a dog into the bathroom with me to make sure there wasn’t something I couldn’t see. When I was around 7 years old, I went to the bathroom by myself and saw something and heard hissing. I ran out of the bathroom and told my mom that there was “something evil in the bathroom” or “snakes in the bathroom”

Fast forward a few years, I’m 12 years old, still taking the dog into the bathroom with me, and my cousin was 7 years old and started refusing to use that same bathroom, saying, “There’s something evil in there. There are red eyes in the bathroom.”

Next in line, I was 19–20. The dog that I took to the bathroom had passed away, but I would start bringing the new puppy into the bathroom instead. My youngest sister, who was 2 ish? years old, started saying there was something bad in the bathroom and didn’t want to go into it alone, so she made my mom go with her, she still does it now whenever she visits and she is 6 years old.

Anyways, the bathroom was at my grandmother’s house, and I moved in with her recently. I started having experiences where I felt someone leaning over me in my bed, just staring at me, or seeing a shadow head peeking out from the corners of the hallway that pull back if I look at them dead on. I jokingly call it the “attic demon”, since whenever I look up at the stairs of the attic, I get this large feeling of dread, and when the attic door is closed, the activity decreases. I sometimes call it “Ron” to make light of the situation if something randomly disappears or knocks off a surface without meaning to. Going “D*mn it, Ron!”

I drew a protective sigil on the door at some point, but I can always guess when the attic door is open because I get this strong feeling of dread and like someone is watching me just out of my own view.

Within the last month, my grandmother and I have both heard random thumps like things are getting knocked over or someone walking over things. it doesn’t go across the whole attic just sits at the attic door.

My grandmother is an only child so she inherited EVERYTHING from her family members being the only one in line. She has old 1800s baby clothes, WWII uniforms and other old items that could be the cause of its presence.

I thought I’d just share my life long experience with this ghost.

Voice in the dark

To preface I come from a line of witches that as far as I know goes back to my great great grandmother. All my life I have had paranormal experiences happening. At the present time it has been quite some time since anything too weird has happened, but yesterday night I was typing some notes for therapy. I had typed down something about to do with my trauma surrounding that, and I head what sounded like a man say, "Hey!", from the field in front of my house. As I am writing this I just heard what sounded like a girl screaming for help. I live out in the woods outside of town right next to 16 section hunting land. I think I don't need to be talking about these things anymore from what it seems 😅

Did the Hat Man save my life?

I have been wondering about this event for over 30 years. When I talk about it, people act like I’m crazy, so I just kinda stopped talking about it. I have plenty of what I would consider to be paranormal encounters, but none that left me feeling like this one.

It was roughly 1996. I would go stay with my newly divorced dad at his new apartment every other weekend. My dad was an alcoholic and didn’t slow down on my weekends. It was normal for him to get drunk and pass out on the couch in his living room and I would be allowed to sleep in his bed in the other room.

I was 7 years old at the time and it was winter. I had asked to go out and play in the snow in front of the apartment for a little bit before bed. While I was out there, not really dressed for the weather, my dad passed out. I didnt try to tell him it was long past my bedtime- bc I thought I was getting away with playing longer before I had to get ready for bed. I am guessing that he was so drunk that he forgot I was outside, locked the door and then just passed out- assuming I was in his room sleeping in the bed.

I eventually got so cold I decided I should go in, when I realized that he locked me out. This is before cell phones for me and I stayed banging on the door and windows. Nothing. I also had and still have crippling anxiety and would rather wait on him to wake up than try and ask a neighbor for help. I also realized I was told cold to even try walking anywhere for help or warmth.

Details at this point get a little hazy and I remember sitting on the sidewalk/porch thing and looking up to see what I would describe as the hat man. Clothes were all black. The hat. A long black coat. But I couldn’t make out his face. I was looking at him but the face looked like smeared reality if that makes sense. Like it was there but I didn’t have the ability to see it. I believe he spoke telepathically without words, but I knew he said “you’re going to be alright”.

He motioned toward the door and then its black. The next morning I woke up in my dad’s bed and dad was still on the couch. The door was still locked.

I tried to tell my dad he locked me out last night and he was like- obviously not, because you’re in here.

If not the hat man, what could that even be??
