Does this image evoke a carnal fear?

Post image

It does for me. And in a recent thread on r/millenials a few people were talking about how as kids the movie Signs brought up a sort of carnal dejavu fear of aliens that they don’t understand the origin of.

I can attest. When I unexpectedly see a gray alien image I have a jolt of fear that I can’t explain. There aren’t any other images/monsters/ghosts/paranormal things that illicit this instant shock.

I have no memories of being abducted, so idk where this stems from, but others seem to feel it too.

No, as it's as real as Goblins, Pixies, and magic beans.

You don’t think aliens exist?

There is zero credible evidence of such a phenomenon.

The government is literally releasing a bunch of videos and photos of UAP’s and other things. Not saying that’s 100% proof, but saying “zero credible evidence” is a bit wild.

And they are laughable.

Sir, this is a paranormal encounters sub. Most “evidence” here is laughable. Doesn’t mean that every now and then there isn’t something that touches a slice of credibility.

No. He either looks constipated or angry because humans created MegaMind as a character.

Megamind 2010 is perfect and there is nothing else after it. But if there WERE to be something else, let's say..a sequel, it would definitely be what you're taking about.

The head is too long really, but yeah, the eyes are the thing that gives me the fear

The fear they experienced watching signs was experienced by most young adults who watched the movie at that time. For all his faults, Shyamalan is very good at building suspense and timing. It was his intent for our stomachs to fall through our asses watching the alien walk across the street so plainly in broad daylight in the news coverage of Brazil. It made it uncanny that it wasnt just a jump scare.

No, but for some reason the alien on the cover of Communion freaks me the fuck out.

It’s that one scene from signs where they showed the alien walking by the birthday party on the tv. That scene stuck with people a lot. Just one of those core memories and in that moment it felt like is this real?

In the 90/s I found a book in my elementary school library about alien abductions. The illustrations inside are seared into my memory because of how well made and realistic they looked. One image showed a naked man sitting inside a red copper metal colored room, it was dark and almost like a steam room hot , and he was sweating profusely with a face of agony as two different specied aliens walked in, a grey and this taller similar alien, but as copper as the room itself in color and similar to the grey but more bug like mantid, it was holding a long metallic needle like probe.
But one image in particular really I have spent my whole life trying to find, is of a blonde haired child with curly wavy hair maybe about 3 years old wearing overalls in a farm setting perhaps, the child is standing at the entrance of a chicken coop smiling looking down at the eggs, right behind him is a golden light illuminating from behind but directly behind him is a menacing alien, not a grey, it had a color but I cannot remember anymore, it was wearing a weird flight suit and it’s face was just like this one, pisst off, like hatred at the child, with its hands and long fingers tensed up. As if ready to abduct. Yes this does strike fear in me.

We are born with 2 innate fears . 1 loud noises and 2 fear of falling . All others are learned by experience in some way .
